The laughter made him wonder what was going on, but the more immediate concern was for Loch's mental status. He had asked about seeing something and then started talking to unseen stimuli that were not apparent to anyone. With that in mind he stepped forward, and then stopped as the sprinklers kicked on. Flapping paper and the like were made apparent briefly but then lost to the sound of Loch talking. He still had four UV rounds left in the striker pistol, but he was concerned with the state of things. Now was not the time for anyone to be losing it. Crucial moments and decisions were coming up.
"Loch... there's no one there." He said simply.

They stopped on one of the levels up, did they find Abel? That was her initial thought till she saw Loch move on without them, he switched back to human form and mumbled some words. "See what? This isn't time for games." She replied a little irritated. Loch then said some more and ventured forth, what was he doing?

All of a sudden he was in motion, Damien made a point as well. She too heard a laughter of sorts, it could only have been from the one tormenting them. She hated being played with. With a shak of her head Savannah marched past Damien towards Lochlann. "Listen you, we can not have any nonsense right now. Least we lose sight of you too." She protested. The fox reached out a hand to grab Lochlann to get his attention. Even if weren't on great terms, she was not prepared to abandon them.

He was still digging through the nurses station when Savannah grabbed him and Damien had said, "Loch... there's no one there."

His skin would be burning under Savannah's hand. He was not in good shape.

When the laughter happened, low and deep, Loch shook his head so hard his black hair flopped like a horses mane. "We're not alone," he said, simply.

He was right. He was still hallucinating, but they weren't alone. The sprinklers diminished some of the fire that was flickering down from above, but not the fire they'd walked through earlier. It continued to dance around them, casting flickering shadows on the wall and creating the perfect landscape for the darkness to hide in.

But the laughter wasn't the darkness.

The storm, the fire, the darkness, it'd all acted as a catalyst, and now ontop of everything else, they were dealing with a ghost.

Of course, the fire was just a disguise, because this ghost would burn, and she would burn fast and hot.

"If you tell anyone what you saw, I will know it's you." he told the two of them. "No one else knows and I intend to keep it that way."

They were the only ones who knew what he was.

There wasn't quite a threat in his voice, but there was definitely an indication that Loch would take some kind of action if they found out.

"Oh," he said, looking behind them, "She's here."

OOC:
Assume there's a ghost standing behind Savannah and Damien. Tall, female, mid-to-late-teens, long blond hair, wearing a ripped and bloodied white smock. She looks like a painter but her hands are feet are bare and burned up. As mentioned, she's weak against fire, but she will try to make illusions with the paintbrush she's carrying. Anyone is welcome to powerplay with her a little since she's a random NPC.

Michael was still in the walls, looking for 'and idiot with a gun' when he suddenly realised something was wrong with the other part of his darkness, the one he had sent after the kids. He stopped mid-way to the other side of the ward, trying to realise what exactly was wrong. It took a minute or two of deep concentration before he opened his eyes, and hissed: his bugs weren't moving. Or, at least, they weren't moving in the right direction, that idiot finally did something that could actually stop them. Michael debated going back for a moment and doing something about it himself, before snorting, and simply releasing even more bugs than before. Now that he was back into the walls, he had all the darkness in the world he needed to make half a dozen more flocks of bugs, and eventually, monsters. So, that idiot kid wanted to play with them, taking them all on by himself? Let him. In the end, it is a much worse death than the one Michael himself had planed.

Taking two of the newly formed monsters with him, he continued his search for others, as something was also happening in the other part of the hospital. It seemed that he wasn't the only one who wanted to play with this kids. Interesting. Stepping out of the wall, Michael looked around, monster by his hand growling.

With the fresh memory of what those insects could do, and the simple desire to protect people from that hell, Abel found within him a limitless source of will power to focus his ability.

However, his power itself was not as limitless. The insects, on the other hand, just seemed to keep pouring into his 'White Hole' technique.

Even though Abel's powers were spiritual in nature, it was hard for Abel to think in terms of the supernatural. He had never been taught about the supernatural world and was ignorant of all its secrets. He had to come to learn how to use his powers on his own, over the years.

As such, he couldn't possibly guess that the insects were just spawning into existence. He could only thinking of them like real bugs. Perhaps, he was an idiot. In his mind, bugs only needed a small crack or tiny opening to somehow make their way into your home. Like the pipe leading to your sink, or an open window. He reasoned that if he could find the source of the bugs, he could close it off.

Maintaining his 'White Hole' technique took most of his concentration, but walking forward was simple enough that he could do it. He strengthened the 'push' momentum he was generating as part of the technique, so that the insects would be crushed into paste before being able to hurt him too badly. The hoard of insects being crushed against him made it difficult enough to the point that he couldn't run, though. It just meant he had to concentrate harder. The more he concentrated, the brighter his shinned.

Eventually, he entered the room where he first crawled in. His light was shining so brightly, that it filled the room, bouncing off of various surfaces and lighting every corner.

He had been talking with Loch about there not having been anyone standing there, but ectothermal scans revealed that he was wrong... and that was before his eyes adjusted revealing her to plain sight.
"We don't need this. Someone exercise it and let's get on our way. He said coldly. The other members of his group back home might have cared and Gazer might have been paying attention to the situation if he was of a mood to have watched, but as it stood there was no reason to even bother reloading his striker with the ectoplasmic disruptor rounds. Besides he was a little more focused on Loch's words.

"At next link up your information will be communicated to servers with my employer in order to attempt to gain some assessment as to what you are unless you care to explain thus saving me the trouble." He answered back, completely honest, but already wondering if that was the wisest course of action. It was too late the words had already been said, but he took the time to simplify.
"For clarification purposes I'm extending an offer of silence in exchange for more information on the topic in which I am to be silent about. You don't match anything from any of the monsters i've studied." Of course he was completely ignoring the ghost during the conversation and refocusing.

Then he looked to Savannah, figuring she would probably ignore his directive.
"Where I come from Kitsune use magic of some sort in conjunction with their natural abilities. Would I be correct in assuming you can fix-" He stopped, looking toward a brilliant light that had begun to shine and reflect. Was there another person up here using their power? Was it that Able person? Whatever the case might have been these delays weren't helping.

{OOC: I'm leaving it open so that either we are on the same floor as Able or the light in the next room is from a couple of flash lights rolling around off the floor reflecting off of broken glass or something based on everyone elses' vote.))

"Exercise her?" Loch slurred. He raised an eyebrow. "Now is really not the time for that man, I mean, there's a storm and everything and I don't really want to take my pants off..."

It was clear what kind of exercise Loch had in mind.

I'm extending an offer of silence in exchange for more information on the topic in which I am to be silent about. You don't match anything from any of the monsters i've studied."

And then he frowned because the word monster reminded him where he was and what was happening. He nodded though, accepting Damien's terms and conditions.

To Savannah, he swiveled his head in her direction, squinting at her over the light.

The...light?

The ghost girl seemed puzzled that they were ignoring her, but she'd grabbed onto the darkness and chilled the air, drawing in energy to make her appearance even more solid.

She wasn't here by accident.

Michael hadn't been released by accident, either.

None of this was a coincidence.

Someone was watching far away, feeling content with himself. This was what omniprescence felt like, he mused, this was what it was like to be the unseen observer in a story he was writing.

He decided he liked it.

And so the ghost girl raised her hand at the three standing there, her voice crackling like a broken radio station. "Aren't you going to stay and do art with me?" She asked, "We can make something beautiful with your blood."
