Mizuko frowned. She looked ready to argue for her tombstone claim, but then there shouldn't really be any, as abstract art hands over its identity to its audience's eyes, and one may always likely see differently from another.

She wanted to make a point though, "How so? Haven't you heard? Great art comes from great sadness... and pain. Morbidity is beautiful. And creativity doesn't hold any morals."

She ended with that, and moved on from that sculpture together with Travis before heading out to the music room. She peeked inside, her eyes becoming even wider at the sight of a piano. She hopped in, before doing what Travis started doing himself, and looked for a violin.

There was a violin case safely kept in a cabinet. Opening it gave no disappointment, for the instrument was there, complete with strings and its bow. "Found one!" She took it into her hands very carefully, before checking if the strings were tuned correctly. It was a little off, but Mizuko had no trouble tuning it. "...I think we're good..."

To try it out, she put it between her left shoulder and chin, and tried playing a few notes with the bow. The music it produced was smooth and soft, and Mizuko grinned at her companion happily after finding that out. "So! What piece do you know?"

"You're right, I mean Van Gogh, Kurt Cobain, Poe," his voice trailed off as the list steadily grew in the back of his head.

"Everyone knows something by them, and no one really has anything bad to say either. Maybe you have to be a little messed up in order to make something truly amazing," he said thoughtfully. It was true, most artists of any medium were almost always manic or disturbed in some way or another.

He took a seat at the piano bench, pressing a few keys to see how the instrument sounded. It didn't seem too bad, then again he hadn't played in a while and only remembered a few songs off the top of his head. "Chopsticks," he answered quickly as if that was the only song he knew. He was half joking of course, as he told her what he knew, "Claire de Lune, Moonlight Sonata, if there was a second keyboard and you played piano we could go through The Planets by Holst."

Interesting pieces, Mizuko can say. Fortunately, she knee how to play at least one of them on the violin: Moonlight Sonata. She's encountered a violin cover before and its elegance and smoothness got her, so she immediately tried to learn it.

She grinned at Travis and moved to a spot near the piano. Readied the violin on her shoulder. And then, "Want to try Moonlight Sonata?"

As if to prove she can play it, she started to play the first few notes, her stroke on the strings through the bow were smooth without the awkward shaky sound beginners usually make. And then she paused, just to wait.

Travis smiled confidently as he followed up with a few notes of his own until he found himself simply playing the song. The sensation was almost like riding a bicycle as the notes seemed to come back to him. Travis played through the song to its end and stopped, grinning at his musical partner.

"That was pretty fun," he said after a moment. Their synergy seemed to be more or less on point.

"So you wanna try another song?" he asked smiling cheerfully. He honestly wasn't expecting it to be as fun as it was. He sat contemplating other songs they could play together but then the drums caught his eye. He moved over and sat at them, picked up the sticks and played a rather simple drum solo. Arguably not bad for someone with no experience playing them. "We should start a band," he suggested jokingly.

It was indeed fun, and Mizuko didn't expect her and Travis to be in such a synchrony. The air was filled with wonderful music, and even though she wasn't a pro, their playing was actually pretty beautiful.

She put the violin down for a moment, to check on how Travis was doing. Seemed like he was having just as much fun as she was, and that made her grin. "Yeah, that was fun! We should play together again next time."

She tilted her head and followed him with her eyes when he moved over to the drum set. "Huh." An interested hum and a curious eyebrow raised. She held the violin and the bow on each of her sides and went a little closer, nodding her head to the short sequence of beats.

"If you want some gothic music and you're okay with violin and drums together like that, why not?" She smirked, humoring his joke. That was actually not a very bad idea. She'd love to try, honestly. "Your drumming is pretty good by the way."
