"Oh, fire..." Fire was a scary yet beautiful thing, and Mizuko's mind would slightly wander off to imagine what Travis would look like while wielding fire. A beautiful sight. But it was unfortunate to know he couldn't control it yet in his human form. Oh well. He'll surely get better at it. They were in Starlight Academy after all.

She chuckled. "Wow, I feel like a normal person compared to you. Then again... I wasn't created with magic. Apparently I'm just an invention or... something like that."

She slightly went behind him after they opened the door. She wasn't expecting anything out of the ordinary, and honestly she didn't think there was going to be anything Harry-Potter-like shenanigans in there, but the mention of Silent Hill gave her the creeps, and goosebumps.

"Uh... I don't like horror games. Or anything horror, to be honest. Go ahead and call me weak but I really can't take scary things..."

She eyed the stairway suspiciously. She can't consider it a normal stairway anymore, not after Travis brought up the mental image of the said game to her mind. She can't shake it off easily. It didn't help that the stairway was dark and silent, and from where she was, Mizuko can't see anything that was farther than ten steps down.

"We're still going down there though, aren't we?" She can't complain. She'd rather go down there with someone than stay up on the roof longer and then go down alone anyway.

Travis tilted his head when she described herself as an invention. It made her seem machine-like. The word association game in his mind would jump to a car, or an inanimate object, not a person. "You make yourself sound like a toaster oven when you put it like that. I mean even if you weren't born through traditional methods doesn't negate the fact that you're still a person," he said turning to her.

"What's there to be scared of? If anything nasty shows up I'll kick its ass," he flashed a confident grin, cracking his knuckles. Without thinking he took her hand and led her down the stairs letting go when they reached the bottom of the stairwell and opened the door leading into the hallway. The lights were off but there was just enough sunlight filtering in through the windows that they could see. "Well this looks like a classroom building, creepy," Travis said as he peered into one of the classrooms. "Science I guess," he added based on the equipment that was neatly set out.

"As far as I know, I'm still human. But apparently not a hundred percent human or I won't be able to do what I do."

Mizuko shrugged it off. It wasn't a big deal, even though she was technically going to be in danger of becoming an experiment once she sets foot outside the island. She let Travis lead her down the stairs, staying as close as possible to keep her paranoia low. She thought it was going to be okay when they get to the hallways, but she only felt worse.

She knew it was just the idea of horror video games getting to her, so she tried not to look too scared of the science laboratories and the empty and creepy hallway. She believed classes were just about to start in a few days, and that meant nobody or at least not too many people will be loitering around the classrooms for now. Mizuko tried to swallow down her nervousness.

"It's definitely not the dormitory..." She muttered, before starting to head to the opposite side of the hallway. She assumed there would be another flight of stairs there.

"This is fun, I wonder if there are any real abandoned buildings on the island," he grinned, looking into the different classrooms as he followed Mizuko. He stopped when he came to a somewhat familiar sight. The arcane science lab had an intricate seal etched into the floor. "Huh we have one of those in the basement," he said nonchalantly before moving on. He was probably having a bit too much fun at this point.

"Well I guess we head down and out then," he said taking the lead once again. He was used to being in older creepier places than the science building of a school that was still functional. He could tell that his companion wasn't, he probably shouldn't have mentioned Silent Hill. "If there is anything dangerous here, I'll slash it to hell. Seriously," he tried reassuring as they went down the steps. The first floor wasn't nearly as creepy considering the exit wasn't too far off. "I guess we can get our bearings from ground level now."

She could tell that he was having fun, and that was good. At least there was some light aura nearby. "It's not impossible, right? The abandoned buildings, I mean." She stopped walking when Travis did, and continued on casually to the stairs afterwards. She smiled at him briefly, just to let him know she appreciated and believed his reassurance.

She needed that, even as they reached the ground floor. Thankfully, the much brighter outside was more visible, and closer from there. Mizuko hurried to the exit, but not in an anxious manner as one might presume. Rather, she was excited to step on the ground and feel the breeze and the sun.

"Aaah... We're on the ground again!" She did a small jump, a single frolic. Glanced up to the sky and tried to see where they came from, before doing a complete turn to look around. Things looked so different down here from up there, and she was a stranger to the comparison. She turned to Travis again. "Ne, where do you think are we now?" she flashed a sheepish grin. "I have no idea. Wanna explore the other buildings?"

Travis recalled his aerial view of the campus and began forming a mental map based off of that. "Well, from what I could tell the buildings are all symetrical so the dorms should be like straight that way- ish," he pointed in the general direction he was speaking of. Exploring the other buildings just wasn't going to do anything for him at this point unless he heard some strange rumor regarding them. "It's kinda boring just poking around inside these buildings if there aren't any weird rumors about them," he said.

"Still, poking around this place is fun. It looks like the art building's next," he pointed to the building across the walkway from them. He began heading in that direction. "I wonder if they have anything on display," he grinned as he opened the door and stepped inside.

Following the directions, Mizuko began to draw her own map in her head, as it's become easier to connect the aerial view of the campus with the view she had at the moment with the help of a connection from this science building to the dorm.

Mizuko nodded. She could definitely sense what Travis was thinking, and she agreed it would get a little boring. Especially if one wasn't so terrified of creepy buildings.

"Acquiring rumors would be easy! I'll just need a few days of gathering them," she said, before following Travis to the direction of the Arts building.

"If they don't have displays, I'm pretty sure they'll have some musical instruments at least. Travis-san, do you know how to play them? I know violin, but... if we compare music to a game, I'm probably just a casual at it."

Just like the science building, there wouldn't be too many people lurking here, if there were even any, aside from them. But Mizuko wasn't feeling as creeped out here as she had been a while ago, she was excited to raid the rooms and look for things they can mess with.

Travis gave Mizuko a puzzled look at her mention of gathering rumors. Granted, anyone could do it if they really wanted but she made it sound like it was second nature to her. Then again if you can literally turn your recent memories into a memory stick for your phone that type of thing would be easy. Her ability had enough true practical applications he was almost jealous.

"Well I can play piano, I guess I'm alright at it," he answered. He never really had anyone to compare his skills with aside from his mother. It seemed like they were more than likely on equal ground with their instruments.

At least the Art building offered the chance to see some student work and play around with the musical instruments. The science building offered nothing but potential property damage and creepy scenery. But then didn't a lot of bad things happen in the music rooms in horror games? It was either there or hospitals. As they walked in the first thing Travis noted an odd sculpture. It looked like it could be something, yet resembled nothing at all. "What is this even supposed to be?"

Piano and violin... That pair of instruments sounded perfect for elegant music, or goth, or... or anything. Mizuko suddenly wanted to play, but with other people around, they might not have enough freedom for that.

Curiosity flickered visibly in her eyes. There was indeed more to the arts building than there was in the science building, the presence of music in the air proved that. Mizuko paused when Travis turned to the odd sculpture, giving a bemused expression herself as she tilted her head and furrowed her eyebrows.

"Abstract art?" she thought aloud. What confused her was the idea of abstract on sculpture, and she didn't think the piece was really showing any specific object. "Is that a... a thing? In sculpture I mean? I know there's postmodern sculpture but..." She shrugged. She really didn't know. "It looks like a set of tombstones to me."

She looked at Travis, as if to get some confirmation, agreement or disagreement, to her opinion. They'd continue walking, but the thought lingered in her head.

"It looks like they tried and just quit but somehow got someone's approval. If this was a stone garden I see nothing wrong with it but it doesn't look right at all here," Travis frowned at the oddity before them. He looked at Mizuko, still a bit baffled by the sculpture. "They can't be tombstones, that would just be morbid for a building devoted to creativity," he eyed the piece once more before moving on.

The art that was on display for the most part was impressive. In all honesty, he was looking to find the music room to see how rusty his piano skills had become. He found a room with a frankly elegant looking piano. This must be the music room based on its size and the structure of the walls. All they needed to do was see if there was a spare violin lying around somewhere. "Check it out, now if we can find a violin somewhere we'll be in business," he grinned eagerly as he began poking around searching for his companion's instrument of choice.
