Daniel nodded, sipping his tea. It was really good, Danny noted that he'd definitely have to take Mochi here at some point. She'd love it!

"Hehe, i'm a bit rusty though. I haven't had an opportunity to swing for a whil-" Wait. What did Wei just say?

"Did you say...We?" He asked, setting his teacup down. He was suddenly self-concious of his own skill.

"Yes, we." Wei said as he finished his food. "We're gonna dance. It's only right. We can't just organize something, we have to get involved. It's the best way. It's the only way, really, at this point."

That wasn't exactly true, but in Wei's experience, actions spoke louder than words. "Don't worry about not being perfect. I'm basically the best dancer on campus. I can make everything work out."

Daniel nodded, but was inwardly getting more and more nervous as Wei talked. Best dancer in the entire school? How could Danny's skills hold up?

He chuckled nervously. "But what if I drag you down?" He asked, taking another bite of his banana bread. It was almost done at this point, and Daniel was definitely considering getting some more.

Wei waved off his concerns without even a second thought. It was something he'd heard a lot, especially from the other members in his club. He tended to teach for the most part, and when someone had gotten really good they would dance with him.

That always made them nervous.

"That's what practice is for, silly. We're not going in cold."

Another nod. That made a lot of sense, yeah. Daniel smiled as Wei spoke, his nerves being eased.

"Oh, good. Not cold turkey." He laughed, the burden on his shoulders lifting slightly. "So, when do you want to start practicing?"

A pause.

"But first we should probably iron out how we'll run this contest, eh? Prizes, promoting it, that kind of thing."

Wei nodded. "We can give the top team a gift card to Everything Nice, or maybe one to the Magic Spoon. I'm sure the Nices and Miss Shellie would appreciate the business."

Thinking about when was a little more difficult. Any way you sliced it, Wei was a busy monkey. He couldn't just slot in practice whenever and just hope everything worked out. "How about around 7pm? We can practice in the ballroom, not one's in there unless there's some kind of event happening.

"7pm? Starting tonight?" Daniel thought for a bit, and nodded. He could swing that. He chuckled at his mental pun. "I can do that, yeah. If the ballroom is occupied, we could just use an abandoned room."

Daniel was still determined to get some use out of the abandoned wing, it was a shame to see all that space going to waste. "And a gift card would be a really good prize, and we could get a trophy made, maybe." Danny suggested.

"Maybe if you know someone," Wei said. He wasn't counting it out, he just didn't know anyone willing to make a trophy that was in line with the budget traditionally had by a high school student. "Yeah, an abandoned room would be fine, so long as we move the desks."

The waiter came over and asked how everything was. Wei smiled and said it was great, as he pulled out his wallet and left enough to cover the bill plus a nice tip.

"You ready to go?"

"It wouldn't be that difficult to get one made." Danny smiled. "I can cover the prizes, don't worry." He waved the monkey off, knowing it wouldn't be that hard to buy a trophy.

Danny finished his tea, and nodded. He frowned that he couldn't help pay the bill, but Wei was insistent.

"Yeah, but i'm getting the tab next time, okay?" He smiled, standing.

"Fine fine."

The monkey moved towards the door, stopped, then ran back to the table. He knelt down and walked out again, this time with his wagon of muffins in tow. He couldn't believe he'd almost forgotten them there. That would have been unfortunate.

"Alright, if you've got everything under control, I'll leave it up to you."
