Daniel thought about it for a second. He really didn't have any alliances yet. He knew Morgan, and spoke to her every now and again, and he vaguely knew of the other candidates, having seen them about, and on pictures...but...

Wei seemed like a nice kid, and he wasn't running for Secretary this year...

Danny took his hand, grinning. "Sounds like a plan. Would you like to go talk business? I'm getting a bit peckish."

"Hmm?" he glanced behind him and shook his head. "Nah, they're just muffins. They'll be fine for a little while."

He pulled until they reached a nice cafe. It had tables set up outside, but it looked like most patrons were more interested in sitting inside. "Worse case scenario they end up a tad smushed."

The taller boy nodded, frowning. "Well...I have a place to put them if you'd want." He offered, looking the cafe up and down, nodding. He hadn't been here personally, but he had walked by a few times. It got pretty good reviews, at least.

Daniel smiled. "I've heard a bit about this place, but i haven't actually eaten here. I don't eat out very often, heh."

"It's okay, neither do I." Truth be told, Wei tended to stick to the school cafeteria and save his money for things he needed. But he came to this place pretty much every day despite not eating out a lot. After all, the Everything Nice Cafe was his place of work, and the Nices were always willing to give a sizeable discount to their working employees.

He pulled the wagon to the table, taking care to actually push it under and keep it out of everyone's way. He waved to the current on-duty waiter. "I have an employee discount here, so I'll cover it. Order whatever you want."

Daniel followed the monkey into the cafe, sitting at the same table. He took care to not jostle the wagon of muffins underneath. He smiled, glancing around.

"Are you sure? I'm more than happy to cover it." Daniel offered as the on-duty waiter walked over, handing the pair a menu. The Libriomancer flipped through it, glancing through the contents of the cafe's foodstuffs. He was probably just going to order whatever Wei got.

"How's your campaign going? I see that we both had the same idea of securing success with sweets."

To be honest, the monkey child didn't really want to cover it, but since he was the one proposing this collab, he figured it was only the right thing to do. "It's fine." He said and turned to the waiter that came over to them.

"I'll just have Banana Bread and Black Tea."

Turning back to Daniel, he shrugged. "It could be going better."

Daniel glanced over the menu, before shrugging. Banana Bread sounded good, honestly.

"I'll have the same, thank you." He smiled to the waiter, handing them the menu he had.

The boy frowned slightly as Wei informed him of his campaign. "Well, If it's any consolation, I've been hearing a lot of positive press for you through my agents."

"Agents?" Wei echoed, tapping the table and giving a lopsided grin, his long canines glinting in the sun before snickering. "That sounds fancy."

The monkey leaned back, crossing his legs and resting his hand on his chin. "I'm still worried about it though. Last year I helped Morgan win and this year I'm not.... and...." He bit his lips.

"From the way things are going it seems like I needed her a lot more than she needed me."
