Janelle pulled out a bottle of water and headed towards the drink table. That's where people seemed to surround for conversation. It was a bit awkward, being the one with a plastic bottle of water instead of a red cup filled with "punch." But it was safe.

Leaning back and putting on an air of "relaxed," Janelle looked over the people around her for potential conversation. Specifically, people who didn't look to already be busy with someone else. That was when Janelle spotted a blonde boy with green-blue eyes. He didn't look that busy, and his outfit looked cute and rebellious. Just her type.

"So, I just got here. Have I missed anything good? I'm Janelle, by the way."

Natasha let out a little squeak of surprised delight when she felt Aaron suddenly grab her and hug her to her/him lifting her a smidgen in the water. She had easily caught up to Natasha and stopped her escape.

As Aaron held her, Natasha wrapped her arms and legs around her in the water. "I didn't have any plans for tonight," she said with a tiny mischievous grin as she shifted a bit in his arms, leaning forward trying to knock Aaron backwards into the water with her weight, but not quite achieving the desired effect since she/he was stronger than her.

When she/he suggested checking out some of the buildings, Natasha smiled and tapped her nose with her finger playfully. Then she suddenly let go of her and pushed herself away from Aaron in the water, "Sure, I'd love to... but first you have to catch me." Nat said as she dove under the water, not really expecting to get that far but having fun trying to.

Ethan couldn't help but snicker at Cam's quips. The dude was actually pretty funny to listen to. He loved to be around people like that - extroverted so there was always conversation but he could also get involved from time to time. Ethan was pretty collected so though he was sociable, he didn't talk too much. "I mean, probably best you look into that. You don't want the whole island swooning over your 'French charm'." He thought he would carry on the joke. Holding his hands up in defence, he replied: "Hey, I'm not knocking coke. It's a nice drink but it's just a boring option for a party."

As Ethan was filling his cup, he heard Cam begin talking to another guy. He seemed around his age but he was definitely way more muscular than Ethan was. "Hey, nice to meet you, buddy," he greeted. Ethan laughed at Kal's comment before replying. "Oh really?" His eyebrows were raised before looking down and noticing that Cam had, in fact, a prosthetic leg. A part of him really wanted to see this leg swinging in action. "Please don't tell me you're another coke drinker." It was a party. There was hardly a party without alcohol involved.

Haven wasn't trying to flirt with Alison... at least, not consciously. It took all he got to not outwardly show a frown as he thought to himself. He ate some more chips as he nodded. "If you find out, please tell me. I think I wanna get a stash." He calmly ate another chip with a complete poker face.

He laughed. "That sounds kinda funny. I mean it's probably a lot different actually being there, but yeah. Sounds funny." He grinned with another small laugh. "My teachers at school were like that all the time anyway. I think kids at my old school genuinely thought that you could get pregnant holding hands with how the teachers were." He snickered.

He blinked before he smiled and nodded. "Yeah it's fun so far. Well, you're fun so that makes it fun." He hadn't done a lot, but he enjoyed talking to Alison. At least, he enjoyed talking to her a lot more than he has talking with other new people.

Fashionably late was the best way to arrive at a party. Spider adjusted her newly acquired halter top and that niceass pursse she pulled off of that shrieky emon girl some time ago.

She looked around. People we're drinking. People were flirting. And dear God this place stank to high heaven. Oh well, nothing some booze couldn't fix. Her eight tails formed a kind of barrier behind her, so no one could come up behind her without her knowing.

"Wassup, party people?!" she yelled out, looking for anyone to talk to.

"Hello there..." Zora replied with a warm smile when Azalea introduced her sister, Luna. "I do remember you now, you were helping another customer when I entered..." she said remembering her now.

"Wow, that's great for you guys and your business... " Zora remarked when Azalea told her they had been asked to cater the event. She could well imagine the money that had been offered to bring such merchandise to an event like this.

"Have you had many takers yet?" she asked curiously, noticing all the high school and college kids around them now - the party was heating up - and she'd not be surprised if a few kids hadn't already made their way over to table and pick out some of the many products displayed.

She snorted and laughed. "Yeah, totally. I think some of the best drama I saw in school was between the teachers. They make everything seem so scandalous." She wiggled her brows at him before snickering to herself. "School's fun that way sometimes. Did you come from off the island, too? I'm from Syracuse, New York."

She grinned at being called fun, "Thanks, Haven. You're pretty fun too." She looked down at her sandal-covered feet and tried to shake out some of the sand that had already gotten in them. She'd barely walked on the beach! Feeling a bit subconscious about her lack of pants, she started to fiddle and pull her windbreaker lower. "I was planning on going swimming, but...kinda don't know what I was thinking. I'm not really all that good at it."

"How are you at swimming?"

He nodded. "Yeah! For like a month at my school, there were these twins. Brother and sister. They were pretty close so they hung out together a lot. We had a lesson covered one time and one of them was passing a pencil to the other and the cover exploded at them. They were moved school pretty quick afterwards." He laughed as he recounted the memory. "Yeah, I'm from California. But, I've been living on the island for a little while now." He smiled.

He grinned right back at Alison. He was never really called fun. He felt... really giddy. He suddenly felt like he could do anything. He wanted to do anything. He blinked as he looked down at himself. He had worn swim shorts, but he hadn't been planning on swimming... why wasn't be planning on swimming? He should totally swim! He looks right back at Alison with a grin. "I'm pretty alright at swimming! Let's do it, we should totally swim." He sounded confident and certain as he nodded determinedly.

Alison laughed again, "Something like that happened at my school too! Why do teachers get so uppity about passing pencils? It's like they don't want students to write things down!" She looked around for a glass of water after all those chips, but she decided against it when she thought of the possibility that it could be spiked or drugged somehow. Nooo way was she getting mixed up in that. "California? Cool! I've heard about California girls, but I've never heard about California boys. Think you can live up to the name?"

Haven's sudden excitement nearly put her off--it was surprising, how he'd gone from awkward to excitedly confident within minutes. "Uh...yeah, sure! I just can't go too far out, okay? I can barely float, so the shallow end is my natural habitat." She pushed off the table and stepped past him, then stopped and looked back to make sure he was following. "You got a phone on you? It'd suck if you forgot and jumped right in."

"You know, we haven't! I think so far most people are just interested in the drinks. But it's just as well. The hosts actually told us not to worry about age limits...which quite honestly makes us quite nervous."

Luna nodded, and pulled out a small diamond-shaped clear crystal from her pocket. "This was given to us when we registered our cannabis license, you hold it up to IDs and it tells if someone's allowed to partake legally. The hosts may not be concerned but it's my obligation to check, which was in the contract they signed. I just hope they're not too mad if they find out. But an angry client is better than getting shut down by law enforcement, and they did pay up-front."

Luna was looking around anxiously. She felt the smallest surge of jealousy seeing Aaron messing around with someone else, but pushed it to the back of her mind and scanned the crowd, seeing far more of what appeared to be teenage faces than she'd expected. She made sure the "ID required" sign was properly displayed, fiddling with it a little for optimal visibility. This didn't really seem to satisfy her though, and she kept scanning the crowd anxiously, eventually speaking.
"Azalea, I think we need to get out of here quite honestly. Just checking ID's isn't going to cover our bases. There's way too many younger people here and while I personally don't see anything immoral about giving them some harmless dreamweed it could majorly hurt or even shut down our store if we're affiliated with this and don't report it. I really want to keep our store. Why don't we get going?"

Azalea looked around, nodding. Her headache was really bothering her now anyway, so it was just as well.
"Sorry Zora, Luna's right, we need to head out. I was going to see if you wanted to try anything but...we can save that for the perfectly legal confines of our backyard sometime if you like! In fact we'd love to have you over for dinner...erm, if that's okay!" Azalea blushed a little. She wasn't sure what the etiquette was here. Zora was a customer technically, but Azalea was hoping there was still room for friendship in such a situation. "but um...either way, for now we really should bolt and put in an official complaint. The store is very important to us and the last thing we want is to lose it over a legal misunderstanding."

Luna and Azalea would then pack everything up, meticulously making sure nothing was missing, and head off to complain to the owners and report the party, feeling a bit bad ruining everyone's fun, but alas, they weren't left with a ton of options after they'd been hired by what seemed to be a perfectly reputable group of people who wanted them to cater a college party where they had assumed all the attendees would be of age to partake. Frustrated at the deception and hoping the hosts didn't ask for a refund, the pair made their way home after complaining and reporting, resolving never to do business with them again.
