Mia is very beautiful. She has fairly pale skin, sea green eyes and naturally teal-coloured hair that trails down to her knees. She is very skinny (almost looks anorexic) and is only five foot three. She wears a pale pink bra made out of clam shells as well as a matching coloured flower in her hair. On her waist, there is a golden band that acts as a waist to her darker pink skirt made from loose strips of fabric. She usually goes around barefooted with a beach sarong wrapped around herself.

Her skirt is transformed into a tail when her legs get wet, the golden band separating her torso from her tail. The scales on her tail are the same colour as her skirt, with a slightly lighter, translucent caudal fin (end of the tail) and two other fins of the same colour on both hips.

Mia is quite arrogant and self-centered, thinking most people are below her. Her aim is to be top of the popularity hierarchy and will do almost anything to get there, though most people hate her. She uses her looks to her advantage and would quite happily sleep with every guy around – well, if they have enough status.

However, she craves the attention because of the lack of it her father shows her. He always cared more for her brother, Pelagios, and quite often ignored her existence. Because of this, she makes up how brilliant and heroic ‘Daddy’ is.

Alluring Aura: Her aura makes men within a six metre radius, no matter their sexuality, find Mia attractive. Though, it is not that strong of an impulse.

Mood Changing Hair: Mia’s hair is naturally teal but when she experiences more extreme emotions, the colour changes:
-Rage: Vibrant red
-Jealous: Dark green
-Depressed: Black
-Excited: Orange

Water Breathing: Mia can breathe in water as humans breathe on land for an unlimited amount of time. She can still breathe out of water too.

Aquatic Life Communication: She can communicate with aquatic life mentally – like a form of telepathy – within a six metre radius.

Enhanced Swimming: If Mia’s legs get wet, they transform into her tail which allows her to swim at speeds up to sixty one miles per hour.

Aura Warning Bracelet: While not actually magical, Manta Carlos distributes customized bracelets for those with auras. Depending on the shape and colour, people can tell at a glance the approximate range and nature of the aura of the wearer.

Mia’s mother left her father after having an affair, leaving him to raise Mia and her older brother, Pelagios. Her father often ignored her existence and focused on her brother. Because of this, she felt isolated and decided to come to the surface and live in Manta Carlos, at the age of seventeen. Her brother and father still live under the ocean, a few thousand miles from the shore of the island.

Currently, Mia lives in a dorm room and has enough money to get her by. Plus, she makes a little extra money on the side.
