"Court?" she'd ask raising an eyebrow at the choice of words, "don't think I've ever heard anyone call it that before, at least not outside of history books." She'd chuckle and shrug, "it's fine though, I don't mind," the cat girl would take a swig of her spiked punch, it was a party after all so she might as well have some fun drinking.

She'd squint a little as her new friend stated that she patrolled, squinted even more when she said it twice. "What does that mean?" she'd ask, sipping her drink, "you look around my age, patrolling doesn't seem like something a teenager would do."

The cat girl would girl would scratch the back of her head, "in any case, I collect yarn....partially because I'm a cat, I write and...sometimes I come to parties like these." @Demonicmuffin

Haven pulled a look of distaste as Ali shoved a load of chips into his cup. But, he eventually just shrugged and started eating them from the cup. "Huh, you're right." He continued to eat some more for a while. He couldn't help but shake the feeling that something was weird with him. But he wouldn't bring it up, it was probably just his mind playing tricks. He tapped his chin a bit. "Alison is a nice name. Alison. Alisoooon. It's pretty." He laughed.

He squinted at Ali. "I'm here cause I'd never been to a party. Why are you here." Even if Ali had just said it, or if she hadn't, Haven definitely asked this again with a mock accusing tone.

Alison's brows slowly rose as Haven repeated her name more than once. She wasn't sure if that meant he liked it, or he was just...weird. Alcohol crossed her mind for the moment, but she wanted to give him the benefit of the doubt. "Thanks," she said, regardless. "My mom gave it to me. I think your name's nicer, though."

She leaned her hip against the table, standing just out of the way of the rest of the snacks so no one in their right minds thought to yell at her. "Didn't I just say? I wanted to see what it was all about. Curiosity and all that, but I'm not a cat so it can't kill me. I've been to parties before, but never a college party. I just feel like I'm at prom on a beach, though. Besides, it's kind of a good way to make friends when I don't have any."

She'd giggle mischievously, "I was being quite literal when I said my name could be used for with a boy or a girl," she'd flash a fanged grin at her, having enjoyed the little game. "Hope you don't mind, hadn't expected to see you here and...thought I'd see if you could figure the mystery out."

The demonic vampire would wrap an arm around her shoulders, "I fully intended to tell you, but then you popped up here." She'd tilt her head curiously, "I'm genderfluid, and I have a form of shapeshifting that let's me change like this." They'd have shifted to show her, but that was turn awkward very quickly given what she was wearing. @Zora

"My good god..." Natasha breathed as the girl confirmed that she was, in fact, Aaron. "I don't know what to say," she said still shocked that the man she had spent the night with was standing before her in a female form.

As everything sunk in, Natasha didn't know whether to be mad or not at him. Eyeing him, well, her suspiciously, she let Aaron put an arm around her shoulders. "You are so in trouble for this..." she said finally, smiling at him evilly, before she suddenly dived quickly under the water and grabbed Aaron's legs, knocking him off balance and pulling him under the water. Then she started to swim away before he could react and get her back.

He shook his head. "Your name is way prettier." He still had a slight nervous tone to his voice, but it was almost unnoticeable now. Haven was a little surprised with himself, really. He didn't understand where this confidence was coming from. But he wasn't going to exactly complain about it, so for now he'll swing with it. But then Ali mentioned her mother gave her the name. Haven froze for a second. "Right... my mom gave my name as well." When before he felt angry remembering his mother, he now felt indifference.

He moved out of the way of the snack table as well, vaguely remembering the look some other kid gave him just as he was leaving the punch bowl. He nodded along as he Ali spoke. "I don't even know what a school prom feels like. I was never allowed to go to one. This is my first party, really." He looked around for a second while he ate a single chip. Looks back at Ali. "Well, you could consider me a friend." He smiles. His eyes then widen as he crosses his arms and looks down with the slightest blush. "O-Only if you wanna consider me a friend."

Kal smiled back at Cam. "Just relaxing. Enjoying the first party i've been to in a while," he snickered at their little joke but decided to keep from calling him sir right back. It would be ten times funnier if he used it randomly later on.

"No way. You could never hide that secret identity. Your charisma hasn't been hidden at all since I met you. Even if you don't think the hat would look good on you," he laughed, refusing to be shushed. A second thought popped into his head about Cam calling himself gorgeous that took Kal a little by surprise and he decided he needed to get another drink as soon as he could.

He didn't want to be rude though and if Cam liked the dude than he was probably pretty cool so he waited to say hi to Ethan before moving to get his new drink. "Hey, dude. Nice to meet you. Be careful of Cam though, he tends to start swinging legs around if he gets bored."

Then she was in the water, quickly tripped by her companion, she smiled as she went under, laughing when she came back up. "Sneaky Natasha," she'd grin and swim after her, chuckling as she did, "don't think you can escape."

Being physically enhanced they'd be able to catch up with her quickly enough, hugging once caught up. "So, what do you have planned for tonight?" she'd ask with a smile, "I know the owners, they're friends of mine." They were some of her party friends, "so, we could walk around the area a bit."

She'd hum in thought and look around a bit, "I know the area well, all the buildings they own here." Aaron would grin a bit, "if you don't mind going off alone with me that is?" @Zora

She'd chuckle just a bit, "a pleasure to meet you both," she'd say, her fangs showing just a bit. "I hope the island proves to your liking," this was indeed fun, "you'll find you can live here and almost never do the same thing twice...unless you wish too."

"Oh, a partier are we love?" she'd day, giving Natasha a familiar playful smile, "well, I assure you, you'll find plenty of those here." She'd continue smiling, "never know what you'll see, who you'll meet or how you'll meet."

Then she noticed the waving of the familiar elven figure, smiling she'd wave back, "hello Azalea, it's good to see you out and about," she'd call to her eleven friend, "hope you're having fun." @Zora @Dream Mist
As Zora chatted pleasantly with Natasha and the new girl, glad that they had met someone to talk at this beach party, she noticed a movement in the distance. Focusing her attention on the person, she smiled, recognising the colourful stripes in her hair. It was Azalea, the girl that had helped her decorate her offices turning them into a wonderful calming oasis of the senses. The mint and lavender made the place smell lovely and helped reduce stress.

"Hey, Nat..."Zora said as her friend looked at her quizzically, "It's that girl I told you about, the one with the flowershop who also sells cannabis. She's over there..." Zora stated, "I'm going to say hi. Be back in a moment." she said as she got to her feet, and walked barefoot over to where Azalea was.

"Hey there!" Zora smiled in greeting as she took in all the things Azalea had on the table, somewhat mystified by a lot of it. "I didn't know you'd be here too." she said glad to see somebody she actually knew.

Luna smiled pleasantly at Zora and politely tried to conceal the mild envy she felt at Azalea actually having had the chance to make friends. It also stung a bit when Aaron didn't notice her there even though she'd been the one to help her that day, and Aaron had even had the nerve to flirt with her. Both she and Azalea smiled and waved back towards the half-vampire in the pool. Luna was mildly annoyed and decided to be impulsive and laugh it off at the same time. While Azalea just waved and smiled warmly, giving a thumbs up sign to show they were doing well, but Luna decided to give Aaron a playful shout back.

"I'm hurt you didn't notice me here too, cutie." The grin on Luna's face was a mix of mischief and playfulness with the tiniest note of genuine frustration.

Azalea turned to Luna in surprise. "Cutie?" she asked quizzically. Luna just shrugged.

Azalea then turned her attention to Zora, who'd been nice enough to actually come over to the table.

"Hi! Yeah, funny thing, the hosts actually paid us to cater this party and provide top shelf flower to the guests" she said, gesturing to all the raw cannabis flower and assorted paraphernalia on the table. "I feel a little out of place without my twin honestly. It's a stereotype but we're rarely far apart."

"Rose had a night class that conflicted, but Zelly here wanted to come anyway and we could use the revenue. All this stuff cost good money and they paid a premium for us to come out and cater, so it's good business."
Luna explained.

"You remember my sister Luna? Or perhaps not, she was helping another customer at the time...but um, how are you enjoying the party?" Azalea was a little nervous. She liked making and interacting with new friends or potential friends but always felt awkward doing it, and not having Rose nearby didn't help. She absently rubbed her head like it was in pain, the very loud emotions of the enormous crowd overtaxing her empathic sense was starting to wear on her.

Alison almost had the sneaking suspicion that Haven was trying to flirt with her a bit. Almost. She didn't like to make those assumptions though, so she brushed it off and got herself another handful of chips. "I'm going to have to find the hosts later and ask where they bought these things..." she said through a mouthful, hiding her mouth behind her hand so she didn't subject Haven to the horrors of someone's chewed food.

She noticed Haven's reaction to what she'd said about her mother, but she decided against asking about it just yet. "Really? Well, prom isn't usually all that exciting anyways. It's just a bunch of awkward kids jumping around while adults stare at them to make sure they're no less than two feet apart at all times. Some of the older kids get drunk beforehand and show up smashed to the prom...Never goes well."

She paused for a moment before smiling. "Yeah, it's kinda fun talking to you. I wouldn't mind talking some more if you're not ready to run at the sight of girls in bikinis. Or guys in bikinis, whatever strikes your fancy. Are you having fun, at least? At the party, I mean."
