The crystal sat in the center of the room, after being brought here it had been named the Raziel Crystal, after the angel of secrets. it gave off a bright blue glow, it had been there for weeks, its magic made it seemingly indestructible and blocked all attempts to scan it. Every few minutes the glow would brighten and then fad for a bit, it had started doing this early this morning, prompting the people who had been studying it to gather and observe it.

Unknown to anyone, a being, a person floated within the crystal, his fingers twitched, and his grey silver eyes shot open, he was awake but his mind of a torrent of confusion and noise. He flailed a bit in the blue energy he floated in, he didn't know who or what he was, or where he was at, he was lost.

In a flash of blue light the crystal crumbled and the being within was left standing there, naked and new to the world, he stood there, his sense taking everything in at once. He became disoriented, and stumbled to the right, falling to his knees. He had just discovered life, and his mind couldn't take it.

The girl wandered the halls of the building, a small ball of purple light dancing around her as she walked. The antics of the little wind sprite brought a quiet giggle to Alouette's lips even as she eyed the various doors she passed with keen curiosity; she had arrived a few days prior and hadn't gotten nearly enough time to explore as she'd have liked, between unpacking and setting up her room to her preferences.

She had just rounded a corner when an odd flow of magic flittered across her senses. It was unlike anything Alouette had experienced, distinctly different from her own summoning-based magic and not quite like the magic her relatives held, what with the D'Lenfer family historically weilding elemental magics. Feline-like curiosity piqued, Alouette hurried towards where her senses were trying to pinpoint the source of the uniquely flavored magic. The wind sprite followed after her, though she had to pause halfway to a particular door to reassure her friend that she'd be fine before letting the little sprite go in a silent flash of sparks; her summoning time limit was up. Now alone, Alouette's heterchromatic gaze settled on the door she had been heading for, coming to stand before it.

She worried at her bottom lip- she wanted to know what was going on, but doors were usually closed for a reason. Still, she was, at her core, a willfully inquisitive soul, and so she gently grabbed the doorknob and opened the door as quietly as she could. Peeking through the small space she'd made between the door and its frame, she spotted several figures standing around a large crystal. Its blue glow lit up the room, giving the figures a faintly blue tinge themselves. With little though, Alouette leaned further into the room to get a better look at the thing, but just as she moved, the crystal seemed to crumble in on itself, the accompanying flash of light temporarily blinding the teen. There was also a burst of that odd magic she'd been tracking earlier, the overload leaving a distinctly electrical taste at the back of her mouth.

She stumbled further into the room in her surprise, blinking rapidly to get the afterimage out of her sight and mentally shaking herself to regain her composure. It was a few moments afterwards that she realized there was another person, a solitary figure kneeling among the remains of the crystal. She straightened up, now uncaring of the fact that she technically wasn't supposed to be there, staring at the figure with open curiosity. A further few moments, she registered that the distinctly male figure was very naked, eliciting a high-pitched squeak of embarrassment from the girl, her eyes widening even as she quickly turned away.

Flushing brightly, she studiously ignored the male, turning her gaze to observe the other people that were in the room. Absently, she hoped she wouldn't get into too much trouble, wandering where she assumed she wasn't supposed to be.

Béatrice hope for figuring out what the blue crystal was wavered a bit, but every time it glowed she had a rise of inspiration to learn about it. She wasn't the type to back down from a challenge after all, especially one on this scale. When a bright flash of light that sent her stumbling into her wife did she was too focused on being amazed to feel any true pain from being blinded. Keeping her eyes closed helped keep the light from disorientating her too much, but Ade wasn't as lucky and as Béatrice tried to get a good look at what happened she had to hold her wife up.

Slowly she began to see things clearer, though she mostly relied on her other senses. She could tell there was a new presence in the room, two in fact. One was right in front of her where the crystal used to be, and seemed to be in the shape of a nude teenage boy. The other was some teenage girl who stumbled into the room right as the crystal fell apart. Considering the girl came here just in time to see the boy, she wondered if it was simple a coincidence, or if the girl had some relationship to the crystal. Béatrice wasn't sure whether she would focus on the first girl and get her out, or focus on the teenager who fell out of the broken crystal.

The boy was more important; he did come out of the crystal after all. She rubbed her eyes before closing them, then knelt down to him and tried to get his attention. Her wife did well keeping herself up, and she assumed she would go deal with the girl while the others focused on the boy. "Hello, are you okay? Do you understand what I'm saying?"

When she looked back she saw her wife approaching the girl gently, though she still had that same smile that always made her look like she was about to be an insulting asshole. "Are you okay?" Ade asked. "Are you lost? I can lead you back if you need me to." Béatrice nearly laughed at the idea of a curious teen just walking away easily after seeing something like this, but maybe she would be scared off. Actually, maybe she would spread the word and cause more people to come. Béatrice nearly wanted to tell Ade to stop to avoid a crowd of people, but the girl would most likely get even more curious. Either way there didn't seem to be a good choice, and she decided to just let Ade focus on the girl.

Khlu wasn’t an authorized scientist himself, but authorization was only a technicality. Once he heard about the Raziel Crystal from a group of scientists he frequently observed, it was obvious that he needed to give it a look. Apparently, it was some sort of scientific anomaly. The enigma of the unknown crystal probably wasn’t as baffling as they made it out to be; all they needed was some eldritch input to clear things up.

Accessing the room where the crystal was being held was surprisingly easy. After putting on a lab coat, it seemed like Khlu could go anywhere. No one batted an eye as he walked down the halls to the room. And once he got inside, everyone else was too busy studying the glowing crystal to notice his appearance. The structure was certainly unique, but Khlu would eventually figure it out. He quickly assimilated himself into the research environment and began taking important notes, such as the shape, smell, and taste of the mineral.

Tastes like fruity metal, possibly due to-- Khlu’s head shot up to the sound of the shattered crystal. Shards were scattered across the floor, and in its place sat a male humanoid. Curiously, the male lacked any sort of covering, as if he was born of the crystal itself. Khlu crouched down and picked up a shard, pocketing it. Then, turning to examine the boy, Khlu noted that he was without any inhuman characteristics. Leaning in closer, Khlu joined another scientist in spouting off questions, disregarding how disoriented the boy must be feeling, “Where are you from? What are you made of? Are you a full human? What do you taste right now?”
