@Zeronos

Klaus tapped his claws on his thigh and flicked his tail. This little deal was fucking boring, and he'd said so out loud around five times now. It hadn't made anything less dull, but it sure made everyone else uncomfortable, which was always nice.

It was a transaction, as well as other promises, involving a huge shipment of new weaponry. All that? Fantastic! Spreading it around was sure to spice things up for a while. But oh, oh god, were their business partners in this ever a bunch of paranoid, cowardly little punks. He couldn't even jokingly snap his teeth in their direction- it'd probably scare them off, permanently. They were lucky their shit seemed worth it.

Klaus had shown up to the (carefully random, hush hush location) meeting, deep in the Underground, to watch over things- see if there was anything up his employees wouldn't have spotted on their own, and to present an intimidating presence. But it had been… kinda pointless. There wasn't anything secret going on with this, no conspiracies, his showing up was a waste of time. All the jumping through hoops was just because of jackasses being stingy. The disappointment was heavy.

Klaus left the building early, agitated, anticipation and energy unspent with nowhere to go. He shoved people out of his way while aimlessly moving through the streets, usual obnoxious attitude dialed up to eleven, hoping maybe someone would pick a fight, or he'd get himself into trouble. Nothing.

Klaus slowed and took a sharp turn into an alley to catch his breath. Knocked his back to the wall and slid down. He huffed, then smiled. "Haha. Gross." Then, it was quiet again- as quiet as it ever was in this place.

He pressed his hands to his face and groaned. "Everyone's a fucking coward today, huh? C'mon, try something while I'm all riled up and asking for it, once in a lifetime chance…" A sigh. "Wow! I'm so bored, I'm literally talkin' to myself. What a day."

He'd go back, find his employees again. Soon. Showing this much genuine frustration in front of them, a lack of satisfaction that'd slip through the cracks every once in a while, was never good. He'd get over it, he always did. He just needed a minute. That was all. Yeah, yeah...

Neon had been tracking Klaus Rosales as soon as he saw him go to the designated location. Now, Neon was normally a very upstanding member of society. As deep as he was in the Underground's business, he didn't participate much in its depravity. He took his money where he can and got the hell out of dodge. But being involved like that, one heard things.

Neon didn't like what he'd been hearing about Klaus Rosales. The violence, the depravity, the comfort about it all. The bottom line was, Klaus took things that weren't his. Every time he heard about him, something in his stomach would churn in displeasure. He couldn't shake the thought away that if he was out of the picture, everything would be better.

It was hard to think of murder as good, but sometimes, it was necessary. Neon murdered scumbags so people better than him didn't have to. People like them had no place in his city, not if he had any way about it.

He followed him since then, as a swarm of flies spread out that flew a few feet away from him. The more he watched him, the more he was assured that he was making the right decision.

He decided to grant Klaus' wish was soon as he went in the alley. The flies formed to his original shape in a flash, and before he could properly introduce himself, he attempted to stab Klaus in the head.

It was usually unrealistic to expect ones wishes to come true near automatically, especially impulsive, outlandish ones- but hey, he was a Rosales, the son of Greed, he got what he damn wanted. A crooked grin tugged at his lips, eyebrows raising, and he started to push himself from the ground to meet whoever was confronting him.

And then there was excruciating pain in his fucking head. Klaus scrabbled blindly at the wall behind him, sharp teeth clamped down on his lower lip to muffle a screech, hissing instead. He swayed a bit, seeing only a haze of obnoxious, artificial candy colors. He blinked the agony away as much as he could, and… was still seeing those colors.

"Nice entrance, pal," Klaus managed, coughing, after a lot of heavy cursing in spanish. He spat blood at his attacker's shoes and tried for another smile. "Ow. Just went for it, huh? I mean, yeah, I did request somethin' like this, but… Wow, knife through the skull, right away! Didn't even…" He squinted at the guy while his fingers hovered around his head, feeling at the dampness.

"Didn't even take me to dinner or anything first. No foreplay, straight to murder. Someone's eager! I'm ah, flattered, really…" He leered a bit. Wondered what was going on here. Assassin? Random bloodlust? Klaus was very off balance, but were they the same height? That was kinda funny.

He hummed. His lip was bleeding now too, he'd bitten it so hard. He leaned into his would be killer, swiping his tongue over red. "Not even gonna give a name, tall, cute and violent?"

This definitely wasn't boring. Klaus' possessive magic radiated.

That should've killed him.

Neon's bright eyes flared as he took back his knife. He clutched the front of Klaus Rosales' shirt, senses suddenly aware of the sudden urge of aura, wrapping around him like a viper. His time in Starlight definitely familiarized him with different kinds of aura, some allured, repulsed, or misled entirely. He didn't know what sort of aura this man had, but it was overwhelming. He attempted to push through it. It only made him want to murder him more.

They say cities have a tendency to swallow people alive. Klaus wasn't going to be the first person dragged beneath its depths.

The air around Klaus' clothes hummed underneath his hands. At first, he thought, it might've been alive, but upon further inspection, it wasn't, no, but it was definitely owned. What on earth was going on here?

Never mind that. Klaus was, for the most part, still alive. He couldn't have him chattering like this if he was going to murder him in an alley. It was too risky. He covered Klaus' mouth with one of his hands and began to pull him deeper into the alley. There, there was a metal door to a now closed shop. Neon gripped the lock until it was rusty enough to be broken, and when he was satisfied, kicked the door open. He threw Klaus inside.

It was some sort of supply room. Neon loomed over Klaus.

"Don't try anything funny," he told him, and like the usual, artificial neon lights, it was cold, cold as the dark night it usually shined against. He checked the other door, saw it was locked and, after a moment, concluded that there was nobody inside the building. At least, not on this floor.

He turned his attention back to his victim.

"A lot of people want you dead, Rosales. Enemies and victims a lot less capable than you, you realize." He looked him in the eye as he pulled one of the chairs from a corner so he could tape Klaus there. "If I don't do it, someone else will. It's nothing personal."

Nothing personal. Of course. It was what he always said, to comfort himself when he did these things, and it was true. What they don't tell you is that it never really works.

He attempted to grab Klaus again so he could push him down the chair.

Being stabbed in the head definitely hurt like a fucking bitch, and having the intruding presence suddenly pulled back out wasn't pleasant either. Klaus clenched his teeth and further hissed. Through his pain, he did see signs of a little reaction from dear pretty boy killer. His magic was making a nice impression. Klaus huffed a laugh.

He rolled his eyes (not that it could be seen under his stupid sunglasses), and allowed himself to be dragged along. He didn't bite the guy's hand, he was far more polite and far less mature, so he licked it instead. Whatever. He was playing along, so that meant he got to have fun too, right?

After he was thrown in, the kingpin looked over the new, more private death location with hazy, but still unmistakably sharp eyes. He'd been here once before. Just once. It was enough. He took in new details quickly, then returned his focus to the main event, turning over a bit on the dirty floor and grinning.

"Funny? Why, I'd never," Klaus promised cheerily, while letting black sink into his skin again, edges of claws coming back. He kept on his side, purposefully laying on one of his arms, and faked a continued dazed state. It wasn't particularly difficult, he just stared at Mr. Bright Ass Colors, and further decided he was rather distractedly attracted. Hmm.

Not getting into this situation in the first place would've been easy, and fleeing, or hurting this person seriously would be even easier. That wasn't what Klaus cared about, of course. He'd wanted something entertaining and flashy after the utter fucking disappointment he'd had earlier, all the pent up frustration, and this was his answer.

"They absolutely do! And yet, here we are. So many wanting me dead, for all these years, and, oh, it's you? I wonder what that means?" He bit back more laughter. "You're being very naive about this, but that's perfectly fine, I like you anyway. We're going to have a good time today. Or… maybe a part of you already knows, and you're really doing this for the fun of it? Just like me. 'It's nothing personal'ha, you're a fascinating piece of work, aren'tcha."

He blew a kiss. "Call me Klaus, since we're getting so intimate."

Distant vigilante type, was it, perhaps? He couldn't be completely certain, the wording this person used was amusingly off, but he had his hopes. God, fucking fantastic, wasn't that something! Manta Carlos living up to expectations yet again. Hilarious.

When he tried to grab him again, Klaus' clawed arm surged up to take and flip them, dragging his attacker down to his level in the fucking dirt to look down at him. He leaned over the man, tapping him on the nose with one sharp fingertip. "This is a game. Just letting you know that now. You're staying anyway, aren't you? Because you really, really want to hurt me. I know a thing or two about want." The magic made it worse. Klaus saw that, and used it.

His head rattled when he was knocked down. Neon hadn't planned this far, no. The knife to the head was usually enough to kill most people but Klaus decided he was fucking sturdy. Of course. It was always the reprehensible ones that proved impossible to kill.

Damn it. This was too much of an impulse decision. He took a risk, and then he failed. Even if he wanted to, it wasn't like he could do much research on what his powers without being suspicious, given that everyone that's ever pissed him off were either dead or incapacitated, and he wasn't ever a student at Starlight so he couldn't even sneak into their archives and look it up.

He was sharp, he'd give him that. Neon was sharp enough to pick up what he was hinting too: Immortal. Fucking typical. Of all the damn luck, he hunted down an immortal. The irritation was overwhelming. His eye twitched.

God, he really, really wanted to kill this guy. Not in the quick, usual merciful way he'd always done, they'd tried that, and he'd failed. No, he wanted to hurt him until the pain killed him. But that wasn't going to happen. Because he was fucking immortal.

It took Neon a good, precious moment to bite back the anger threatening to break through and think logically, looking the man above him in the eyes. He shrugged.

"It was worth a shot," he said, perfectly casual, despite the emotions boiling underneath. His red eyes were glowing dangerously. "It's nice to meet you, Klaus. I like you too. Are those Gucci sunglasses? I have to admire your taste for the latest couture." In a quick movement, he buried his knife into Klaus's kidneys, twisting and pushing it in. That should've answered his question, he hoped.

He'd followed along with the hints. Klaus cackled. "Honestly… how do you think a piece of shit like me was going to be able to stick around, otherwise? You were overestimating yet underestimating me in the same breath. Thinking I was skilled enough to deal with that level of bullshit without help, flattering, but also deciding you could show up and off me, despite that?"

"Who the fuck do you think you are?" He raised his eyebrows, then mock swooned. "Please, do tell me what makes you such a special goody two shoes and murderer. I gotta hear it." And he really did want to know, in a genuine sense as well as a mocking one. Were those fae vibes he was feeling? Except, not quite… Interesting! This was so interesting!

"Nah. Like I said, I get it. You just want to do nasty, terrible things with me, don't you?" he purred. "Lovely. Want is want, logic aside. I won't bully you for that, oh no, quite the opposite. Mm."

That level of outward self control, even now, was impressive. Klaus blinked, then let out a burst of bright laughter at the facade, this course of dialogue. Additionally, he was fond of the red in the man's eyes- they matched, though his own were shining for a very different reason.

Just as the demon opened his mouth to reply, eager, he was getting thoroughly knifed again. Klaus groaned and felt his body give out a bit, collapsing heavily onto the person stabbing him. Sunglasses clattered onto the ground. His fingers twitched, claws losing the concentration needed to be kept up. He coughed up more blood, onto his attacker's shoulder this time, then shuddered.

"I'm uh," Klaus started, then getting interrupted by more coughing. His cheeks flushed. Haha, gross. "Hm. Not immortal in the unkillable way, y'know… I just always come back. So there's that." He was really gay garbage. "Hey, you wanna give me a name before you fucking wreck me? So I have somethin' more personal to cry out, and such."

Neon quickly pushed Klaus off and switched their positions, sitting on stomach. He kept the sharp edge of the knife pressed against his throat as he patted around Klaus' clothes for his stuff.

"I'm not going to deny any of that. Do you think I'd be keeping this up if I didn't enjoy any of it?" That was disgusting to admit, but he was usually more aware of his own feelings regarding matters than one would initially think. Neon liked murder, and he liked the satisfaction of doing the right thing, and seeing other people's lives improve, even more. It was validating as much as it was brutal.

"I didn't underestimate you, but I did underestimate your enemies. It's easy to think of other people are incompetent, isn't it? I struggle with that often." He smacked his lips. "When I pursued this course of action, a lot of factors were uncertain. There was an equal fifty-fifty chance of failure and success. If I succeeded, many people's lives would've improved. If I failed, I'll be the only casualty, because I have no affiliations. The logic was sound.

"I failed. I made a mistake, and I'm going to pay for it. That's the natural course of things."

A pause. Neon pulled Klaus' gun from his coat and fired a bullet each on both shoulders. He turned on the safety and tucked the gun into his vest.

"You're free to pursue me when you come back. I deserve it. But I'm not going to give you any hints." With a swift motion, he grabbed the front of Klaus' shirt and shoved him on the chair. A foot firmly pressed him down by the legs as he tied him to it with a rope nearby. When he was done, he grabbed a fistful of Klaus' hair to look at him. "I'm going to have a little fun, since it's my last day and all."

He stood up to check the items in the supply room.

Klaus hit the ground again, and could hardly do much about it in this state, not before more of his energy came back. He didn't want to. He bit his lip lightly and stared, attention captured, quietly enjoying being patted down. He was into all of this.

"Well, that's refreshing," Klaus mumbled. He listened, with a tiny smile on his face that was slowly getting wider. "You're a weird guy, aren't you? All cold intelligence to go along with the bloodlust and superiority complex. It's very attractive."

He shifted a bit, brushing his attacker's thigh with a hand, then got bullets through his shoulders. He screwed his eyes shut, biting at the inside of his cheek and muffling sounds, writhing in pain instead.

Klaus huffed out strained breaths, but still managed to laugh a bit. "What, you think I'm gonna kill you, or even stop you from being able to mostly experience whatever you think of as a normal life? You really don't understand, do you. You're putting yourself in the completely wrong rumored behavior category here, love. You've heard things, researched, but you're looking at the wrong thing. Maybe 'cause you'd be more comfortable with how I treat annoyances." He grinned, his expression open and fiery, teeth sharp and bloodstained.

Klaus looked directly at the man, as he was held by a grip in his hair, with slightly lust hazed, infatuated eyes. He was smitten. "Ah. If thinking like that inspires you, though, please keep it up." All that rational monologuing and then throwing in 'I'm going to have a little fun', oh, wow.

He needed to have this person, there was no budging there. Even now, having him stick around, unable to resist hurting him despite it obviously digging a deeper hole, gave a certain feeling of ownership. The negativity didn't matter, Klaus was smug.
