“I can see that.” She pet his hair softly – no need to use force here, not when the magical pressure on him was far more interesting. In fact, even as she tested his limits the glimmer in her eyes was less lustful and more fascinated.

She had a scientist’s excitement to her, mostly staying out of the action in favour of staying in control – but that wasn’t to say she didn’t have a good time of it.

“Hey, Orion.” She hadn’t gotten off of him, but she was at least considerate enough to minimize the contact between them. “Can you stand, or am I going to have to bring you a blanket?”

Bell may have shown scientific fascination with his predicament than lust, but Orion was feeling the exact opposite. He was laying firmly in the territory of lustful. At least he felt so. His outward appearance matched what was happening inside him, and was difficult to place as either "writhing in pain" or "undulating in pleasure". Later, much later, he would probably feel a pang of guilt and shame for putting on such a wanton show right there on the floor. For the moment, he was riding high and, considering how things were going, not dry for too much longer.

Her attempts to lift of off him were met with fierce resistance. His hands dug into her waist and he forced her back down on him with a loud grunt. One of his hands raced up her side to her neck to yank Bell down back to him for a forceful kiss.

Orion froze up, twitched a few times, then relaxed with a pleased sigh and fell back to the ground. For the moment, the pleasure washed away the pain and he was able to relax without much pain from the thrall.

"Shit.... That was good..."

He smiled up with her a big dumb smile.

"...Maybe... a towel...

Bell’s eyes widened at Orion’s sudden force. She hadn’t thought he’d had the strength – but she sure wasn’t complaining.

Maybe he had a better handle on himself than she’d thought.

“Aw, you flatter me.” It had better have been good, because it looked like it was either that or torture.

Maybe a little bit of both. “And a towel, huh. Gotcha.” She gave him a grin and a salute, then got up chipperly – sure, she was a little tired, but that was hardly enough to stop her. It had been a good day, she decided. Now she knew that even when human technology advanced to the point of intelligent, time-travelling spaceships, their anatomy remained mostly unchanged.

She came back a few minutes later all neatened up and threw a towel towards the time-traveller in question.

“Y’know, I think I understand what you’re under juuust a little better.” She leaned against the doorway. “Gimme some time. I’ll do a bit more research, see if I can’t whip something up for you.“

Another sigh of relief was let out by Orion as Bell got off of him to retrieve a towel. The pain quickly subsided and disappeared as distance was put between them and Orion's mind floated in a haze. There were no thoughts in his mind the entire time Bell was out and remained on the floor, almost looking like he might just fall asleep right there before she even got back. But a towel floating down and landing on his face got him to sit up.

"Thank you, hon."

Orion tried his best to clean himself up as he got to his feet. He stumbled only once as his legs got used to carrying his weight again. The haze had yet to lift from his head and he walked over to Bell wearing a cute a little smile. Leaning in once more, he gave her a sweet, affectionate kiss, much different from the lustful ones they shared before.

"And I'll remember to bring you the ship or bring in something for you to take apart on my next visit. So how long do you think the remedy will take? And hey, if you need more... experiments with me, don't hesitate to ask."

She watched from a distance as Orion struggled to his feet, but didn’t stop him from coming over, and returned his kiss. “Congrats. You made it all the way over here.”

“Hmm, I’ll look forward to it! But it all depends on just how much you associate with her.” She grinned. “The more you enjoy her company, the more screwed you are, in all senses of the word. I’ll do my best to keep up.”

“Oh, please – at this point I don’t think I even have to ask.” She laughed. “Still, feel free to stay the night, not sure you can make it back home. Steal anything and I’ll make sure you never stand again, okay?"

Orion held back a little comeback for Bell, for once, because he was not quite sure how he should take her warning. Did she or did she not prefer him to... associate with Delise? In his still-not-too-clear mind, it sounded like she could have easily meant either one, and either one could have been a good thing. If he stayed from Delise, he could end the thrall and have Bell. On the other hand, it also sounded as if Bell would actually enjoy the competition of Delise, and that would more or less work out fine for Orion if their choice of battleground was his body...

As he stood there in the doorway, considering Bell's offer to stay the night, he felt himself leaning toward the latter option. Aside from the obvious, it also held the insidious prospect of letting him ride the high of pain that came with "maintaining" the thrall with Delise, then letting it shock him when he went to "test" it with Bell.

"I'm a naughty boy, but I'm not a thief. So don't you worry about me, honey. And I suppose I'll just be bunking with you tonight?"

Turns out the search for answers on magic, yielded other kinds of magic too...

“Well, you’re rather sneaky too. Haven’t quite decided if I can trust you, you know?” But she was chuckling. “Goodness, and here I was just going to leave you on the floor.”

It looked like she’d made quite the catch here. She wondered if, over time, she couldn’t coerce him to share more details about the future, and his reasons for being here…

“Well, go ahead and meet me in bed later. Good luck getting to sleep, though.” She laughed, then swept away into the hallway. There was still a little bit of time left in the day, and she had work to do.
