Dew smiled to himself as he sat under the tree. His back to the rough bark, his chin resting on his knees, the tall boy made for an interesting sight. Especially since he was staring right into a nest of fire ants. He watched as the ants moved to and fro around the area, a couple crawling up onto him to investigate the boy. His own bullet ants crawled around over his shirt, interacting with the new ants and Dew Smiled. The lanky boy had always liked it when he and his ants made new friends.

He did suppose he had to move though. After all, that was why he was here. The school had asked him to use his expertise to move the nest to somewhere less inconvenient. Dew set his hand down by the nest, and the ants came streaming onto him. They covered his arm like a moving sleeve, before spreading out around his body.

About a minute later, all his passengers were aboard, and Dew began to walk away. Well...He would have if he didn't immediately bump into another person, knocking himself to the ground, his ants holding on tight.

"Gah...Oh, i'm sorry...Are you okay?" He asked, mostly to his ants.

It was weird to find someone taller than Milo was, even by a little. And for that person to also be the one to fall over when bumping into him, rather than the other way around. Well, Milo was hardy, that couldn't be denied.

The other weird thing was the ants. Milo's first instinct was to be alarmed, but there didn't seem to be a need for it. If anything, it looked familiar, so Milo relaxed, peering downward.

"If you're satisfied they're alright, do you want a hand up?" he asked, stretching an arm out. He hesitated for a moment, then added, "...you're bonded with them, aren't you?"

Dew smiled, his ants were okay. A few were a little disoriented from the fall, but none were hurt. "Um, Yes, sorry about that..." The tall boy glanced back up to Milo, before taking his hand and standing up. "Um. Bonded? I...What do you mean?"

It was the first time he had ever heard the word. Bonded? What did that mean? Was it referring to his relationship with his ants? Probably. Dew's thoughts were racing a mile a minute.

"Bonded. An affinity with, a deep connection. It's the term I like to use for myself, flows off the tongue well. Rat bonded. I like it more than rat control, as some people might pin to me, since it's more of a mutual partnership if anything," Milo explained, crossing his arms. "Understand?"

A rat poked its head out of his scarf and sniffed the air cautiously, one of the live ones. Milo smirked. "I'm studying this sort of thing- animal and spirit bonds, that is- mostly to get a better grasp of my own situation, so. I should hope I'd know at least a few things. Is that not what you are, as well? Tell me if I'm wrong."

Dew nodded, deep in thought. He held up his hand, where one of his normal ants was sitting. The fire ants were all over his back and shoulders, choosing to hide away from Milo and the rats.

"I see...I guess I am bonded with my ants then..." Dew said, looking at the ant sitting on his finger. The ant turned to look at him, before crawling back up the boys hand and onto his arm.

Dew held his hand out to Milo to shake. "Oh, How rude of me. I'm Dew, it's nice to meet you."

Milo gave the offered hand a firm shake, then crossed his arms. "Mm. Glad if I could be of any help. It's just a term, but those can be nice, in regards to knowing you have a place somewhere." He huffed a slight, gruff laugh. "...is what I would say if I was concerned about things like that, but maybe you are? Like I said before, just sounds better than the other things being thrown around- less demonized. Animal 'control' seems to make people squeamish enough already, for one reason or another." Milo shrugged, then quieted. His own ability was one of the few things he would talk for more than ten seconds about, but even then, he snipped things.

"Milo Constantin," he said, shortly, remembering himself. "Sorry for taking up your time, you can get back to whatever you were doing now." Before you bumped into me.

Dew nodded, his ants crawling over his shoulders to seemingly stare at Milo's rats. "Most people are already squeamish around my ants, i'm used to it." Dew smiled softly at the slightly shorter boy, closing his eyes for a bit.

"It was nice to meet you Milo. I hope me and my ants can see you again sometime." He said, before turning to leave with a soft wave. "Have a nice day!"
