Throwing himself onto the bed once he was done, William felt himself relax, sighing with relief, as the tension slowly left his body, one high strung muscle at a time. It took a while for his whole body to become something akin to a boneless heap lying on top of his covers with no intention to move again any time soon, the tension in his shoulders and black clutching onto him like a dying beast, but happen it did. Right as he closed his eyes however, not intending to sleep yet, just to allow himself to relax his mind even further, emptying it in hopes that when the sleep did come, nightmares won't, his room-mate decided to speak up once again.

''I have no intentions of messing up my bad again after just having made it'', he said, his voice still not back to its normal dry tone, but still sounding much better than it had before, the last time William had spoken. ''Besides'', he added, frowning a bit, as he had not meant, for once, for that to sound as it did. ''I am not hungry any more.'' Looking at Tavish properly now as he had shifted his body to the side in order to be able to do so, despite the protest of every muscle and bone in his body, he wondered if those words as yet another insult directed at him.

It was only that thought, he told to himself, and the fact that he was more than done with fighting for the day, that prompted him to add, in an sort of awkward, as if he were uncertain about the words he was saying: ''Thank you, though. For offering'', he clarified, before settling onto the bed again.

He still felt awkward on the inside, off and off balance, and the tension which might have left his body physically could still be felt in the air between him and his spirits. He did not like the feeling, never had, but he knew from the few previous occasions that there was nothing to be done about it but wait for them to say they were okay as well. Until then...He did not know. He would sleep, despite having not been awake for the full twelve hours, but the fear of nightmares kept him awake. For now, he simply laid still, resting, but he knew that despite being tired, he would still grow restless soon once again. He did not know what he would so with himself, or, well, with anything else, then, but until he felt the need to get up again, he settled on staring at the floor. Maybe once he felt capable enough to get out of bed again he could take that offer Tavish had maid about food...

Some time later, after having laid completely still, almost as if asleep, William moved suddenly, his body changing positions so fast it almost seemed he had jumped upright. He could not stay still any longer, he concluded, the tension brimming under his skin again. Not with all the broken thoughts still flying around his head, waiting for the moment of silence in which they could attack and overwhelm him. Pulling up a chair to where the food was set, William grabbed at the now cold slice he had left unfinished before, despite not being hungry and all. The emptiness he felt had, after all, nothing to do with the body, but with the soul.

As I said, it's really not that long? In my opinion at least. xD It feels perfectly okay to me. Going back to food is perfectly natural reaction as a change of topic and this thread does after all have 'Takeout' in the tittle though we have admitedly moved pretty far away from that xD Anyhow, William apparently decided this would be a slow post. I tried to make something happen but he would not allow it xD

Tavish shrugged at William's reply and continued to eat until the slice was gone. He wiped his hands and went back to working on his notes before returning to his food after a while. This time, he did both the note-transferring and eating. Taking one french fry at a time with one hand and jotting down with the other.

It wasn't until he was a good halfway into the fries when he paused and realized what William said. He frowned at his notes, wondering whether or not he was just imagining things. He'd become so engrossed in rewriting that he'd kept everything out for a while there, like the studious student he is. A lot of times, events would register too late that he would have to wonder if it was a figment of the mind or if it had been reality.

Deciding that it would be better not to say anything in case it had all been in his head, Tavish unfroze and continued what he'd been doing. Everything was silent in the room. The air in the room was more comfortable now, at least. For now. No doubt it wouldn't be long before they'd clash again.

Tavish wished they wouldn't. He wished they'd be normal roommates like everybody else, not that he'd know what everybody did with their roommates normally. This isn't the first time he's had to share a room with someone, but when he did before, he was avoided most of the time. And even he knew that wasn't normal. Couldn't have been.

Then again, who wanted to be normal, Tavish thought bitterly, his hand more forceful against he paper. Who wanted to be at average or even below that? Who needed friends when he could have acquaintances who could owe him favors after he's done things for them? Who needs lovers? Girlfriends were a waste of time and money. They demand for dates, are bought gifts for stable relationships' sake and require too much attention. At least that's what he hears. And boyfriends... well, he didn't hear a lot about how boyfriends were like. And it's not like he was looking for anyone. He's been fine this whole time, so there's really no reason to be searching.

Tavish sat up from the slouch he'd somehow deflated into when he heard the chair moved to his side. He looked to see William taking his seat and continuing with his slice of pizza. It seems he's still got some space left in him. And here he sat, eating and sitting like nothing had ever gone wrong. Quieter and more subdued than usual, but sitting beside Tavish all the same. Tavish felt a ghost of a smile beginning to form on his lips. He was quick to hide it by grabbing what's left of the fries and chewing on them. And then he wiped his greasy hand and continued with his work quietly.
