None of that sounded inherently fun. Except maybe the dimension stuff, but it sounded like she couldn't use them here so it was pointless. Tril was tempted to look for another small creature to drop on Katie just to see another animated reaction from her.

But no. That was dumb.

Instead they just shrugged and kept talking. "Healing could be useful. maybe not fun unless you like getting hurt. But I come back if I die so... What is the dimension thing? Can you go to other places?"

Tril hopped up to sit on top of a big rock as they listened. Lightly kicking their feet a little.

"Hmmm, maybe yes. Another face to take would be good. But is it safe for demons? Some people have magic that hurts us. Like dumb boring holy people" Tril made a disgusted face at that.

Tril was not a trusting sort. But not knowing anything about Gray Ghost and their world they just had to take Katie's word for it. "I'm guessing we can't go to see this place right now and you probably have to sleep sometime so we can't do too many different things."

They needed to think. What could they do that wouldn't be boring but could be done with a slightly scared, not very brave human? Food. Everyone likes food. "Maybe we should just go get something to eat?"

Tril grinned. They knew a place that would be great fun. As long as Katie didnt accidentally... eh, it would be fine. Probably.

They shifted their form into something that looked like a cross between a gargoyle and dinosaur, about 6 feet tall, with leather biker-gang-esque clothing. "I know a fun place if you like meats or greasy food. But you have to pretend to be mean and scary with me so we fit in."

That last part was patently untrue. But Tril couldnt help play things up a little. And they were curious how Katie would react.

Tril squinted one large slitted eye at the attempted intimidating look. Then snickered quietly. "It looks like you got poked in the eye and sounds like you swallowed a frog. Good enough- just stay near me," they grinned toothily and then patted Katie on the top of her head with one oversized hand.

Then Tril took Katie's hand in theirs and began leading the way downtown, at a reasonable enough pace not to leave the girl behind like they nearly did on the stairs.

Before long they stood outside a smallish building with completely blacked out windows and a black metal sign proclaiming the name if the establishment as simply: 'Broken Fast'. Outside two partially shifted werewolves were growling at eachother in what might have been Russian.
