Private Finished A Real Page Turner

Tril was slightly surprised by the sudden burst of energy at first but then hopped down off the partial wall to scurry after the girl.

"See, I can't wait to get up there either. But you knew that already of course," they snickered quietly as the approached. "Don't forget, we have to use the back stairs or we wont get to go all the way up." Fortunately that particular roof access was one they rarely locked. It wasnt a terribly complicated path either- just a lot of stairs to climb.

Tril-Katie patted real Katie on the shoulder and smiled. "Of course I'm sure. Why would I want to do anything to get myself in trouble? Silly." They guided her up and onto the stairs. Mostly empty at this time of night.

Much slower than Tril would have been normally, but they wanted Katie to not be too tired out or discouraged so they kept pace with her.

"I go up here all the time. Only at night though. You cant see the stars and all the lights from the school with the sun out." They gleefully added in that same whispered voice they kept using.

Tril-Katie bounded on up the stairs alongside real-Katie, pausing whenever she needed a break. It was a lot of stairs after all. Their whispers both encouraged her to keep going and reassured her that is was worth it and totally 100% ok for them to be going up to the roof.

They of course knew what the view was from up there but grinned wide at the reaction Katie had to seeing it for herself, "only during the night time. It is ugly during the day," they replied as they climbed up to straddle the safety railing dangerously.

"See, this is way more fun than doing dumb homework by yourself. You should listen to me more often. Or maybe I should tell you... me things more often?" Whoops, they were slipping a little with the ruse they were using. The long game wasn't really Tril's true passion.

Tril-Katie went ahead and kicked their other leg over to the outside edge of the railing, dangling them over the long drop to the campus grounds below and kicking them a little idly. "If I tell you things like this you have to promise it's our secret. I know other places but some of them are against the rules," they snickered and turned back to look at Katie.

"Well, it feels just like being you feels of course. Except I can sneak around and do all the fun stuff. So maybe not exactly like you. What's it like doing all the homework and being good all the time?"

Tril looked over the edge, staring down at the night air below them, and then flipped backwards off the railing back onto the safe portion of the roof. Then they stepped closer to inspect Katie. The girl was so gullible this was a cakewalk. They probably could have convinced her to do just about anything. But that wasn't really fun if it wasn't a challenge.

"I'm your friend now? Is that true even if I lied to you?" They grinned wide and their teeth grew sharp. Their clothes shifted to fit Tril's 'normal' demonic form while keeping the same look as Katie's clothing. As malicious as their appearance was though, they didn't actually make any threatening movements towards Katie. Instead they snickered quietly to themself and then sat crosslegged on the roof. "Are you sure you still want to have fun like I do?"
