Tril was slightly surprised by the sudden burst of energy at first but then hopped down off the partial wall to scurry after the girl.

"See, I can't wait to get up there either. But you knew that already of course," they snickered quietly as the approached. "Don't forget, we have to use the back stairs or we wont get to go all the way up." Fortunately that particular roof access was one they rarely locked. It wasnt a terribly complicated path either- just a lot of stairs to climb.

The closer they got to the tower, the taller it seemed. Where as before it had looked to be maybe 4 or 5 stories tall, it was clear it was actually much, much taller. Finally spotting the door that led to the stairs that "Katie" had mentioned. With a small pull the door opened. Yet Katie hesitated for a moment before heading in.

"Are you sure we can go up here?" she asked. She was fairly certain she wasn't supposed to go up roofs. But if "Katie" said it was ok then surely it was fine. After all, it seemed like this was far from "Katies" first time going to the roof. Still, she just wanted to be sure.

Tril-Katie patted real Katie on the shoulder and smiled. "Of course I'm sure. Why would I want to do anything to get myself in trouble? Silly." They guided her up and onto the stairs. Mostly empty at this time of night.

Much slower than Tril would have been normally, but they wanted Katie to not be too tired out or discouraged so they kept pace with her.

"I go up here all the time. Only at night though. You cant see the stars and all the lights from the school with the sun out." They gleefully added in that same whispered voice they kept using.

Katie slowly made her way to the top of the stairs. It was an exhausting process, especially since she had never been one for sports, but the reassurance of "Katie" made it all worth it. After what felt like an eternity of just walking up stairs, they finally reached the door to the roof.

Pushing it open, she couldn't contain her surprise at the view. The entire campus seemed to be be lit up by stars. It was a once in a lifetime experience, for Katie at least. "Oh wow! Is it always like this up here?"
