He grinned at how enthusiastic Leon seemed about the bakery. It was obvious it wasn't just a job to him - it was part of his family, and he felt proud of it. Angelo could relate, even if he was no longer part of his family's 'job'. He knew that feeling of protectiveness, of pride when someone spoke highly of your work. Maybe it wasn't the exact same, since Leon's family business was entirely legal, but... close enough.

"In my defense, it was pink. And super thin. Basically vanished into my hair the moment I put it on." He had an awful lot of hair, and smaller things tended to just get straight up lost in it. He couldn't help but chuckle at the idea of 'Leona' wearing hair ribbons.

"You're a good guy. You ever need anything, just let me know." God help the guy who stole Leon's bike or robbed his family's bakery, more or less. "I imagine the pet stores probably closed this time of day. I've got a day off on Tuesday, so I'll have to spend monday checking out all the profiles you printed off for me, and then make my pick on tuesday.." It wasn't as if he got the holidays off. Crime didn't suddenly go on hold for the holidays, and since he had no family on the island, he'd volunteered to suffer through all that holiday pay and work through it.

Leon tried to hold back his laughter but he let it out. The image of the pink scarf he described and how it went poof into his hair was just too funny. Leon had to admit this was a nice change of pace then most Secret Santa's and he was glad he could made someone he had never met have a good time.

"Alright I can see why that wouldn't work out exactly. Still, can't be hard on people this time a year. Even if it is awkward, people still try their hardest sometimes regardless of the outcome."

He nodded when Angelo said if he needed anything. Truth be told he wasn't sure if he would actually take the offer since he rarely ran into any trouble with the law, expect for the occasional accidental trespassing he did while jogging. He knew most of the layout of the Islands, but even he got lost.

"Sounds good. When you do pick out a pet you should send a picture so I can see what you choose. I'm rather curious what kind of pet you'll end up going with. If you want a hand with all the supplies let me know I'll come give you a hand, if that's alright. Would feel bad if you needed the help and I wasn't around to give you a hand. Just how I am."

Leon had started putting on the gloves Angelo got him while talking. They felt nice, and it was true he did need a new pair of gloves. Just didn't think of them most of the time since he was always in motion and wasn't too bothered by the elements while out jogging. Was great he could put everything he received to use almost everyday. That's a gift if he ever saw one.

"Sweet they fit great. Sorry to bring it up suddenly, but I have a few other presents I have to drop off today before I'm finally free. Was nice to meet you Angelo. Same with your offer, need a hand with anything or just want a few samples from the bakery let me know and I'll bring some down. Especially if you got stuck with the holiday shifts then I'm sure some freshly baked goods would be a warm welcome. No pun intended."

@Thoth yeah I think we can wrap it up

He was pretty sure he'd seen the guy's number in his folder, but he hadn't returned the favor. He took a moment to fish around in his pockets, finally pulling out a little business card. It wasn't much - just his name and cellphone number, but he kept a few of them for cases just like this. He had a set of work ones too, and those got given out a lot more. "My card." He said, holding it out for Leon to take. "I'll shoot you a message when I finally pick one up. Not sure what I'll go with just yet, but I'd expect a text sometime next week." The more he thought about it, the more sensible it seemed to pick up a pet after the holidays were over. Would be easier to adapt in the long run, rather than a pet trying to get used to a schedule that'd suddenly change.

He gave him a grin as he said he had to go, and Angelo gave him a little mock salute. "Get to it, you've got gifts to exchange elsewhere." He sure as hell didn't. His entire christmas list was his boss, his partner, and something for Jack.

"Was nice to meet you too. If you need anything, just let me know." He collected the folder and his bag, and with that, he headed off - back to home for the moment, since he had no errands to run. Maybe it was time to get started on the folder.
