The door to the rooftop swung open, revealing the form of Wesker to the outside world. A quick glance around the area told him that no one else had arrived to this area for the gift exchange. Good.

Wesker pulled out a key and locked the access door behind him. A small bundle of Yaoi manga was held under his arm. Mizuko had been sent another copy of the key, so she wouldn't have any trouble arriving. The web was cast, now all he had to do was wait.

The spider seated himself against the fence spanning the perimeter of the roof, and idly selected one of the books to begin reading.

The girl was on her way, clutching to her chest a narrow box half her height long, gift-wrapped, together with a violin case, and the key to the roof in her cold left hand. Of all people to be paired up with, it had to be him. And while Mizuko was happy at one point, she was slightly suspecting this wasn't exactly randomly generated. If it was, then fate must really enjoy watching them together.

She stopped by the closed door just before the roof. She absentmindedly tried first if it was going to open without the key, but as expected it was locked, so Mizuko went ahead and inserted the key to its hole, turning it carefully and quietly. She was nervous, for some reason. She was shaking, and she didn't know if the cold was to blame or if it was just her. Her thick black jacket should be enough to shield her from the cold, with her gray turtleneck underneath; she even wore thick tights and a pair of fluffy boots to make sure her legs and feet won't get cold.

She opened the door, gasping at the rush of cold air blowing on her face. After the mild shock, she stepped outside, looking around for her upperclassman. He wasn't hard to spot. He was by the fence, occupied by books Mizuko can't recognize from her place.

So she approached, calling to Wesker, "Senpai! Good evening!" and progressively slowing down her pace as the books he had became more and more recognizable to her.

When she finally reached him, she froze.

"Y-You're reading yaoi??"

Wesker's eyes glanced up as Mizuko exited the building, then returned to the page briefly. As Mizuko approached him he seemed to find a spot to finish reading and set the book back down on the pile again, glancing up at the girl with his trademark smile.

"Good evening Mizuko. You look exceptionally marvelous this afternoon, I do hope your outfit is doing it's job of keeping you warm." He got to his feet, and gave her a small bow once he'd straightened himself. "I am. It is something you desired is it not? This particular series has a strong balance, and so it isn't entirely smut like some I've seen."

His smile never faltered, even in a situation which many others would have found embarrassing, and for good reason. He simply offered the pile of books to Mizuko. "My gift for you. Merry Christmas." He paused to allow her to take the stack of literature, glancing over her frame with a curious look in his eyes.

"Mizuko, may I ask what your sexual preference is?"

Well. Her embarrassment was doing an even better job of keeping her warm. She did like fictional stories like the ones Wesker brought, and there was no denying that she was glad she'll be getting what she wanted, but when it's Wesker, it was like everything she did, everything he knew about her, they were all embarrassing.

Mizuko rubbed her cheeks openly in attempt to stop the tingling sensation. And then she put her items down for a moment to get the books-- only to almost drop them at her upperclassman's question.

"E-Eh??" Her eyes darted at him. "I... I-- Wh-Where did that come from? Just 'cause I like yaoi, mou..." She pouted. "I'm straight, if that's what you're curious about. But, too busy shipping fictional characters, so I'm not really thinking about myself."

She whew-ed, before finally getting herself to calm down and smile again. She picked up the bulky box she was holding a while ago, the gift-wrapped one, and pressed it against Wesker. "In. A-ny. Case. Merry Christmas, Senpai."

She shouldn't have wrapped it so well, now that she thought about it. Anyhow, it was another violin, encased, a polished purple one rather than the usual red or brown. Its strings were cat gut and not steel, and there were some spares inside the case as well. She still wasn't sure she made the right choice for a gift, but hopefully he'd like it.

She'd wait for him to do something first before saying anything else.

Wesker waited patiently for her to calm down and fully answer his question. In response he simply chuckled a little bit and nodded as if he had already known the answer. "I see, thank you for confirming that for me."

Gently taking the box as Mizuko pressed it into his arms, Wesker's glanced over it for a moment before removing the paper. He said nothing as he opened the case and lifted the violin from it. He simply set the bow to the strings and pressed his gloved fingers down over them.

A Haunting tune carried out over the sky for a few heartbeats as Wesker played his present, tested out the sound on his skin. His smile widened slightly as he stopped playing to bow to Mizuko. "It is beautiful, Thank you very much."

Mizuko felt goose bumps all over her body. She suspected the cold, but she also knew Wesker's test play in his new violin caused it. The feeling she got from the brief melody was... It wasn't easy to explain. But as someone so captivated by the violin, Mizuko felt her senses tingling. 'It suits him,' she thought, and unknowingly began staring at her upperclassman while a very gentle, a satisfied smile crawled over her lips.

"Ne, Senpai, I take it you already know how to play?" she asked, before crouching for her own violin case. She opened it carefully, taking out the bow first and briefly polishing it before taking the violin as well. "Anyways, I have another gift. I made it."

She took a few steps back and positioned the instrument between her left shoulder and neck. She smiled at Wesker, before pressing her fingers on the violin's strings and, smoothly but firmly caressing those strings with the bow.

Music filled the cold air. The wind blew and it's hushed whisper sounded like a fitting accompaniment to the beautiful melody. Mizuko produced low and deep notes, and thin and high ones, none of them breaking. The melody was smooth and elegant, with some parts played fast and with some, slowly. After a couple of minutes or so, it ended with one last high note, prolonged by the slow but unshaking stroke of the bow, chilled by the vibrato by her fingers.

Mizuko lowered her instrument and took a small curtsy.
@Nightstripe I'm sorry for taking so long!

Wesker shrugged his shoulders the slightest amount at her inquiry. "Just a hobby of mine. Are you surprised? Were you intending to teach me, Mizuko?"

As Mizuko began to play, Wesker leaned casually against the fence once more. While his mask remained solidly in place, for all intents and purposes he appeared enraptured by the music. His eyes never once left Mizuko while she was playing.

Once she finished, he returned her curtsy with a bow. "I am put to shame. I have given you only a casual gift on request, but you have given me three beautiful ones."

@Trahnael you're fine :3 I'm a little slow myself lately

"I already guessed you'd know how to play, but I asked just to be sure," Mizuko replied, shrugging a little. IF this wasn't the case, however, she probably would've offered to teach him.

"Three?" she tilted her head afterwards, before beaming at her upperclassman as brightly as always. "I love your gift, Senpai. I mean, I wouldn't have asked for them if they're not what I wanted to get, right? But... What do you mean by three? You mean two, Senpai..?"

She went back to her violin's case to secure the instrument inside, and after that, she approached Wesker by the fence and stood beside him, quite comfortable (despite being constantly embarrassed) with him by now. She looked at the sky, and watched as her breath escaped her lips as mist.

"Very good, as expected of my Kohai. You should always confirm your information before acting on it." He gave her a nod. Yes, she was certainly able to keep up with him in matters information.

He flashed his grin at her as he straightened himself. He casually leaned against the fence, facing her as he chuckled at her confusion. "Ah, but you have seen fit to grace me with you presence on this fine afternoon, have you not. I believe that should count as well."

A shiver ran down the girl's spine, and while that felt cold, her face was starting to warm up again. Wesker was always so smooth with words, as if he always knew what to say even before the moment itself, and Mizuko was so used to it that every time her face flushed, her mind would always instantly remind her, "He's just playing with words."

It was a disappointing thought, really, especially when she's come to like this person. And she didn't want to believe it. It would always bring a frown to her face, but at the same time, she was always ready to put up a smile to hide that.

"It can't count, Senpai," she spoke in her native tongue. "Something required can't be a gift, in my opinion. And besides, Senpai is here, too, so it's just the same the other way around, right?"

Mizuko was suddenly too conscious of the cold air around them. "Eto... It's a little cold, don't you think?" she asked, shifting a little and hugging her own arms and chest. "We should probably get ins-- Oh hold on."

She pushed herself away from the fence and pulled something out from her jacket's inner pocket. It was a disc holder, and of course, a disc inside. "It's the piece by the way, Senpai," she said, holding it out to Wesker. "Please listen to it again."
