Standing 5'10" tall and muscular of build, Briar doesn't seem like one who spends most of his time relaxing. His dreamy eyes are a vivid pink that seem to glow from within. Strong brows pair well with his defined chin and angular cheekbones. His hair is soft brown and extremely soft to the touch.
Briar wears comfortable clothes and styles and it's not uncommon to see him dressed like he just got out of bed.
Dragon
Briar's dragon form is not of flesh or scales but a thick hide of quilted fabric and filled with soft cotton. The fabrics are patchwork and colorful, like hundreds of blankets were thrown into a pile then stitched together for the heck of it. His claws and teeth are made of button studded foam and his eyes are several large buttons stitched together in semblance of dragon eyes. His horns are curled like a ram's and made of glossy black velvet.
Personality Description:
Briar is the guy with an easy smile and gentle demeanor. He's often lost in his own thoughts with a dreamy look on his face. He seems perpetually relaxed, even in situations that would seem to warrant some level of tension. Because of this, he often comes across as someone who doesn't take anything seriously. Add to that his dislike for confrontation of any kind and Briar will try to diffuse situations by agreeing with or saying whatever to calm things down. When push comes to shove, Briar conforms.
When things are calm and nice, Briar is his best. He's funny, charming and happy to give compliments. He's quick to offer help or advice and overall is the sweetest guy.
Active Abilities:
Shape Shifting: Briar may shift between a human form and his dragon form and in between to a degree. In dragon form Briar is twenty feet tall (including ten feet of dragon neck) and a length of thirty feet from head to hind toe. The wings have a wingspan of 120ft but can be made smaller. At normal size his wings give him an average fly ability. The tail is twenty feet long but can similarly be shrunk down to smaller sizes. In addition, if Briar so wishes, he may adjust the size of his dragon form by up to half its full size.
While in human form, he may pull out his quilted wings to gain flight. In addition he may form his horns and tail. The tail and wings are always appropriately sized to match his human form.
Catch Some Z's: While in dragon form, Briar has access to a special breath ability. He can breathe a thirty foot cone, or sixty foot line of sleeping powder. This sandy substance is shimmery gold in color and induces sleep upon contact. This effect may be resisted but will not grant the secondary effects if so.
Sleep induced by the powder is super restful and relaxing. The sleepers will have wonderful dreams and will wake up seven hours later super energized. Those with magic will find that for a few hours their magic will be twice as strong as it normally is.
Dreamweaver: At night, Briar may extend his conscious mind and interact with individuals within their dreams. He may make his presence known or not, but while within the dream he may adjust the dreamscape to something more pleasant and relaxed. Also, when talking to individuals in dreams, he may give them a short message that they will remember immediately upon waking up.
Cotton Bunnies: Dragon Briar may collect blankets, pillows or clothes, swallow them, then spit it out with some of his internal cotton. This creates one to three cotton bunnies that are one foot tall. They look like bunnies with patchwork bow-ties and hats and are mindless minions who obey all commands given to them to the best of their ability. These bunnies, being made of cotton, are completely harmless and make for great cuddle buddies.
Fabric Blending: Briar may meld into any blanket or quilt large enough to hold his human form. While melded and not sleeping he may be aware of his immediate surroundings and will not need food, water or air. While blended he does not age.
Passive Abilities:
Regeneration: Briar's dragon form is capable of regenerating lost limbs and stuffing by absorbing blankets, pillows and clothes. These fabrics must not have been apart of him previously. Damage can be regenerated in dragon form, but not in human form. Any injury he takes as a human transfers to dragon form and that damage can not be repaired in dragon form. If the human form injury is restored through magic or a hospital trip then he will be whole in dragon form. Briar's self is centered on his horns and if they are destroyed then he is unable to regenerate or take human form.
Restful Aura: Those who are sleeping or resting withing twenty feet of Briar will feel more energized upon waking up or resuming normal activity. An hour of sleep will feel like four hours, and they'll feel great afterwards. Those who rest around him (doing only light activities such as reading or drawing) for an hour will feel as though they took an hour nap. This aura has no effect on those who are not sleeping or purposefully resting. This aura has no added benefits after four hours sleep, which will feel like a full seven to the sleeper.
Draconic Senses: Briar has heightened senses of hearing, smell and sight. Twice that of the average human.
Long-Lived: Quilt Dragons are long-lived and slow to age.

Soggy Cotton, Ew: Briar's dragon form soaks up water like a sponge and when fully soaked he is incapable of moving. He can not move again until at least half the water drips out/dissolve. He cannot fly until completely dry. He can not shift into human form until dry.
Sharp Things Bad: Being made of fabric, Briar's dragon form is easily cut and mangled. Though he is unharmed by injuries in this form, he does lose stuffing which can deform him or lose limbs entirely. Briar must take the time to gather new cotton stuffing and fabric to repair himself before shifting back into human form. If he shifts before fully repaired then his human form takes the damage. Lose a leg in dragon form? The leg is gone in human form and now it hurts and blood is everywhere.
Human Briar is more severely hurt by injuries from bladed objects in human form. Any object with a sharp blade will easily cut into him. Even small blades could take a finger off with ease.

For hundreds of years these dragons watched over their charges and granted them peaceful sleep and wise council. Eventually, the world advanced and the kingdom moved on from monarchies. The Quilt Dragons did their best to continue their work, but there were so many politicians and so few of them that it seemed hopeless. Eventually the dragons came to realize that their place in this world was over.
Without any other course of action, the dragons settled into their tapestries and went to sleep. Time moved on. A visitor from Manta Carlos came to the dimension and purchased an ancient tapestry from an old antique shop. The man brought it home to the island and hung it in his living room. One night, his ex broke into his home and attacked. As soon as she spilled his blood and it sprayed upon the quilt it came to life.
Briar emerged from the quilt and put the violent woman to sleep. The man profusely thanked Briar for his rescue, then immediately apologized as he did not know the quilt contained a sentient being. Briar didn't mind at all, and was merely glad the man was safe. From there the man introduced himself ad Victor, and told Briar about the island and a quick version of its history. Victor offered to take Briar back to his home dimension but Briar declined.
He was asleep for a long time and without purpose, perhaps it was fate that he arrived on Manta Carlos. With Victor's help Briar completed a GED and applied for college. He now lives at the school and is quite happy.
