You're Gonna Hear Me Howl [Night]

Thresher laid there for a little bit longer, just letting the little girl pet him. He cast his eyes up into the trees, judging where the sun was. It would only be light for about another hour or so. With a small huff, Thresher sat up, shifting into his human form while still shaking like a wolf would to get dust or water off them.

The hulking man scooped up the little girl, carrying her in one hand. "Yeah, well it's time to go back to your den now, it'll be dark soon." He began to carry her back towards the school once again.

Thesher shrugged. Even in human form he tended to speak just as much through his body as he did his voice. "I don't really have anything for you. Not familiar with pups. We'll have to tell someone anyway" He stepped through the brush and ducked passed trees, winding an odd, unmarked path through the forest, sometimes even crossing right over trails.

Thresher grumbled a little, tossing his head back and forth. "Alright alright alright, you can come stay, but I don't know what else I'll teach you." Coincidentally, that was when Thresher's wolf navigation brought him out in front of the child care building.

Thresher stepped inside, and once someone's attention was brought onto him and Cana several people rushed to take the girl. a bunch of thank yous and things were thrown at Thresher while he just waved his arm at them. "The pup wants to stay with me, so I'm gonna take her with me."

He had meant that she wanted to spend the night with him, but because of his gruff manner of speaking it lead to a rather extreme misunderstanding. It was innocent enough, beginning with "Oh, I see, please wait a moment" and bumbling about procedure before papers were placed in front of Thresher. It wasn't like he couldn't read or anything, but no one really reads through those things and Thresher figured it was just a thing to release her to him for the short term.

Then she spouted a few paragraphs about legal guardianship to him with practiced speed. Thresher finished signing his name and took a few seconds to process what they'd just said to him. "Wait, wh-" He was cut off before he could inquire about what they meant "Now I'm sure you two want to get yourselves more acquainted and we really need to settle things for the night. you can call [phone number] if you have any questions."

They shuffled the two of them out the doors, perhaps really needing to 'close' for the night, perhaps just thankful to have the troublesome pup off their hands. Whichever it was, they had left a rather confused Thresher staring at their door.
