"Mama and Papa gone....I put into place with other kids. I no like it there...forest my home!"
She felt out of place among the children. She lacked knowledge in many subjects that the other kids knew. She knew very few games, didn't understand the concept of television, and was a wild child through and through. The wilderness was her home; she spent her four years away from civilization for the most part. This was why the orphanage discomforted Cana. None of the adults were her parents; the kids thought she was weird. It wasn't apparent to her yet that there were creatures in the woods that didn't exist normally in her homeland. She never had to face the risk of a giant attack.
The girl blinked as she realized that she hadn't tried to say his name yet. Her palm patted him.
"Thresher."
