Doll looks down at her feet. "What do I do to be human?" she looks up at him with sad eyes. "I feel so far away from everyone. Like I'm.." she struggles to find the words. "Not a part of this life. Not supposed to be here." she looks down again.

"Have you ever felt that way?" she mumbles. "Never mind. don't answer." she nods, petting her hair with her clothy fingers. "Go to sleep. You look terrible."

Jazariel shrugged away her advice. He'd answer her; she needed to hear it, otherwise she would go insane and go farther down an incorrect path. He'd go sleep when he damn well felt like it, for now she needed him and she was his first priority. "I have," he said, his voice muffled by lips that didn't want to move. "But there's more to being human than what you look like. And trust me, humans aren't always that great."

Being as old as he truly was, he'd seen a lot - almost too much - of what humans could do to each other. "You have just as much a right to be here as them, don't fret."

Doll frowns. "Being human would make everything so much easier.." she pets his hair. "We can.. talk, but later. Sleep, please." she grips his hand. "You look so pale, Jaz, it scares me." she might have been dreaming, or it might have been the light, but he did indeed look terrible. Before he had seemed so perfect. Now, everything was backwards.

She preferred it the way before.

"Or would it ma-" But she hushed him. Jazariel sighed, not wanting to comply but having no choice. She had so much to learn, but she was ordering him to rest... and with the soothing way she pet his hair and her tender voice, he couldn't resist what she said. Sleep sounded so beautiful; even if he didn't want to, his body was forcing him to.

He exhaled and closed his eyes, reaching his hand out for hers but failing in grasping it. Jazariel was too weak to care, or to even realize. It didn't even take a full minute before he had succumbed to slumber.

Doll clasps his hand with both of hers. She might as well sleep in the chair, too, if you could call her charging sleep.

((Timeskip?))

She reaches slowly for the electrical socket, making sure to let go of Jaz before she took the amount of electricity needed. She grips his hand again before her eyes close and she becomes still and eerily doll-like.

He groaned lightly, eyelids tightening so that they wrinkled. Consciousness slowly crept in over his heavy, exhausted body; limbs ached and stabs of pain in his eyes forced them open. Sunlight caused his eyes to close immediately and he rolled his head to the side, lifting an arm to drape over his face. It was then he became aware of more weight on his other hand and, shifting somewhat, turned to look.

Doll.

A weak smile pulled at his lips and he turned on his side to face her, squeezing her hand and reaching out the other one to gently shake her. "Wake up," he mumbled, his voice muffled and sounding drained.

Her head a swimming pool of thoughts, Doll slowly, almost mechanically, opens up her eyes. Had she fallen forward as she slept? She think she had. She sits up and smiles.

"Hey, good morning, sleepy-head." she smiles, pushing his hair out of his face. "You feeling better?" She turns to the window, and she leans to the left to open the curtains wider. "It's not raining.. That's a good sign." She turns back to him.
