After she'd said her piece, Ildefons decided it was better to leave the topic for now and focus Emily explaining the the cards in her hands. Fortune telling wasn't new to him if he had to say anything but he always did find differences between how the one telling the fortune explained the cards. Ildefons leaned over the desk as she instructed him about the cards. There was always one thing he wondered about, and it was mostly how his efforts would result as if he kept it up.
There was some hesitance before he turned the first card, shoulders deflating as it came into his view. He listened as Emily spoke, catching a few glances at her as she explained it. "Fate sounds like it has different plans for me though; I don't trust it as much." he pointed out.
Turning the second card didn't seem to phase him, but it didn't mean he hadn't been expecting it, nor was he wary about it. "Well, that's sounds about something we both know already," he chuckled. All he offered her after was a decided hum before turning his attention to the last card.
Now the last card, he wasn't counting on anything but as soon as he read the words on the card, he seemed to wince a little. It was a familar card; the more common card he found in his fortunes, though he chose not to tell Emily. Ildefons looked up to her, a wary look flickering in his eyes for a moment. "That sounds pretty ominous," he chuckled a little nervously. "But... I can't really say I'm all surprised."
