The night was dark and deep, the air was quiet save for the sounds of crickets from inside bushes and trees, and the people of the academy have all either gone back to the dormitories or left. It was way beyond curfew, which meant that only night guards should be outside.
Elizabeth knew that. Despite knowing, she still took her time outside under the moonlight, her watering can in hand so she can rehydrate any plant she'd notice to be wilting or drying up during her stroll. As to why it had to be at night, well, the world was different at night. Different creatures took over the world, as the creatures of daylight would all be sleeping. There were also flowers that bloomed only at night, and it was her main goal during tonight's trip to find them.
She strolled outside unguarded, as if she'd forgotten there would be guards roaming around and it was very possible for her to get caught and get some punishment. So far, nobody has seen her yet. So she went on, watering plants along the way and stopping here and there to crouch in front patches of soil.
