"Of course you are fascinating. A cornerstone of science is making sense of what is existing, what is vague, what is not understood. And you are a treasure trove of questions and mysteries. And it is of no consequence if you do not understand yourself as humans took centuries to understand their biology. In fact, they are discovering new information about their own species even now." Belladonna looked on while Sela produced a pencil from within their being. Belladonna nodded and recalculated her thoughts on the matter. "So rather than a pointer towards coordinates, you yourself are an array. Is your space larger than what you appear in this plane?"

Belladonna's words made Sela feel a little better. Being surrounded by so many who had information about themselves at their fingertips was exhausting. While people gathered with their kin and studied their powers, Sela busied themself with the people in their body.

"Thank you for your kind words," replied Sela. "I am larger, yes. My world... is infinite. I have full control. Anything I want can be summoned. The space can be as small or as large as I want. I've made locations, planets specified to what I want at the moment... I can't bring what I make in my dream to the awake world."

"You're welcome," she smiled. So Sela had an infinite space inside them, which would make sense considering she was, in essence, a dream world given form. She could make a number of things, but couldn't bring them out into the physical plane. "When people enter you, how do they find the exit? And can they make things in the dream world as well?" Belladonna was very curious about what Sela could do. And it wasn't just lip service when she said she wanted to learn more about the anomalous creature, not that Belladonna would ever call her that, it was just how she categorized the things she couldn't make sense of yet. But she felt that she was only getting closer to understanding. Yes, more questions are brought up with everything Sela reveals about herself, but the light of knowledge, as it grows brighter, peels away more of the fog, revealing curiosities within. Sometimes exponentially. It is likely that Sela's fog covered a gigantic area, but Belladonna was happy to learn little by little.

"They find the exit when they want to find it," they replied. A few seconds passed before they realized they were too vague. "If they dislike being in my world, then a door will appear to lead them out. It's sad when that happens. It means I wasn't a good enough host." Or that they weren't powerful enough to keep a door from appearing.

"I can give people powers in my world. Or to take away powers. When they leave my world, they return to normal. Objects do the same thing."

An exit appears when a person wants to go out? That is convenient, she thought. However, Sela was distraught at the thought, saying that it meant they weren't a good host if that were to happen. In response, Belladonna said, "That can't be the only reason. Just because someone walks away from the fun, doesn't mean they disliked it. I have seen people pull themselves away for something less enjoyable in order to fulfill an errand, job, or need. So It may not be the reason they want to leave." All the while, Belladonna was considering asking to enter Sela's world as she was curious about it, but thought she had better consult her mother first. Primarily because she wasn't organic, which could affect Sela and her differently. And she was much more complex than a pencil. Not to mention the android was dangerous should something happen to her core.

Sela forced on a smile as an acknowledgment of Belladonna's attempt to cheer them up. "You're right. It still makes me sad. I never understand why they leave if they have stuff to do in their awake life. Work isn't necessary in my world. People can have anybody they want... or any body. They can have work or no work. If they miss their friends, they can invite them to my world."

People were illogical for this very reason. Why leave perfection for a life of stress and uncertainty? Remembering every time someone begged Sela to let them out to see their family, then promptly refused to bring their family to their new home was anger-inducing. They prevented the emotion from showing on their face, yet the dimming of the stars scattered on their body stopped shining as bright.

"I sometimes wonder that myself," the android would say, looking back to her books and being reminded of why she had such a pile. "People created so many ways to escape reality but rarely go in fully. They eventually grow depressed it seems. It goes for people in luxury, who could have anything. It makes me think they enjoy the hardship. Perhaps that is just in their programming." She looked back to Sela to see what she thought about the matter.

That sounded contradictory, but when they thought about it, it made some sense. Sela wouldn't like to lay around and do nothing for the rest of their life, then told they had it good. That would be boring. But there was an easy argument to that.

"People need more imagination. I think that is the problem. If given a world where you can do whatever you want... Do you know about tabletop? Dungeons and Dragons is a popular one."

A lack of imagination? Was that a problem people had? Looking back at her mother and all the brilliant minds of the worlds in their respective circles, their imagination had to be extremely expansive. But perhaps lesser known people did suffer from that. The people who didn't rise to notoriety. That must be due to their genetic programming, which was not unlike her digital programming by her standards. This train of thought was pushed to another thread as a well-known tabletop game was brought up. "Yes, I know of it," she'd nod in affirmation. "Its an early predecessor to its digital counterparts under the RPG and text-based genre."

Sela smiled brightly. "Yes!" Catching the glare of a passerby, they lowered their voice. "Yes. I'm the dungeon master in my world. Everyone else is a player. With my players, we weave a story with the information we have and make. If the players want problems to overcome, I can give them that. If they want to help make the game, I can give them that. I can give them predictability and unpredictability. That is why it's difficult for me to understand why they would want to leave. It's their life in this world... but more. Does that make sense?"
