Cricket, cricket.
Even in the dark, the view was gorgeous.
R couldn't tell what she felt more - if in fact she felt anything, other than the soft spring breeze through her light jacket, ruffling the stray strands of hair around her face.
Even in the dark, the view was gorgeous.
From here, her little piece of the flat roof that overlooked the dorms, she could see almost all of campus. The moonlight did absolutely everything to help, illuminating everything in a pale white light.
R figured she needed to stop describing the scenery in her head - it was already perfectly clear. And yes, to some degree, perfect. Yet, it was imperfect. If only Gaige was here with her, gazing up at the stars with her. Taking her hand, and -
That was quite enough. R leaned back against her arms, kicking her legs off the side of the building. It wasn't that far of a fall, really. All she'd have to do was, oh, maybe slide to that beam there, shimmy along there... It'd allow her to get a glimpse of Gaige's window. But.
As much as she wanted to do that, her arms and legs ached from climbing all the way up there, and she wanted to appreciate something, for once.
Cricket, cricket...
It was so peaceful up here. She hadn't seen anyone around in her time up there, so it was good. It was alright. She could let herself relax, let her guard down. She released all the tension she was keeping in her arms and slumped in her seat. It was much more comfortable this way.
