"I told you, I'm okay. No scrapes or anything. I just tripped on my face. Which was, not gonna lie, really embarrassing." An awkward little laugh.

"Man, you really busted ass running over here - are you okay?"

It occurred to Nix that she wasn't worrying a bit too much, so he smiled at her reassuringly. "Trust me, I've gotten a lot worse. One time, I was running from a monster, and I slid like ten feet into a cave. Downhill and everything. There was water at the bottom, yeah, but that was a bit of cleaning up, obviously. One rock actually jabbed into my knee." After his fall and his dorkiness, he was all too eager to put up a tough guy persona.

"Yeah. I actually used to be quite the adventurer, like you." A smile crept up across his face. He knew for a fact that was a reference, and damned if he let it slip by. The smile gained a wistful tone as he leaned back, not even bothering to stand up. He wouldn't admit it, but his toe was throbbing and he wasn't sure he would like standing on it right now.

"Sorry about the TV, by the way. I'm pretty sure you know this, but I've always been a giant klutz. I didn't know the cord was there and everything, I'm sorry, ahaha."

A moment passed.

"Y'know, I used to watch a lot more movies when I was back north. We used to invite Lili's boyfriend up a lot... which was, uhmmm problematic... but it was really this nice thing when it was just me and Lili. I kinda miss having someone to watch movies with... But uh. Yeah. I-I-I only watch, uhm.... SUPER tough horror movies and comedies."

"Well yeah. I mean, she's my sister, how can I not protect her? She's had her share of fuckheads coming for her. " Without meaning to, his voice grew a bit more defensive, almost grittier. Nix caught it, though, and shook his head. "Uhm, sorry. But yeah, I'll go plug it in as soon as -"

The Skybrim quote suddenly popped up in his brain, and he grinned. "I know that one!!"

Nix couldn't help but shout out in excitement. Because damn, was she slinging the quote game like a champ. In the context she was using it, though, it didn't make a whole lot of immediate sense to him. What even does that mean. Either way, when paired with both a smirk and a wink - which were themselves telling of something, he wasn't sure what - it just confused him a bit more. Was she... trying to flirt?

"Don't worry about it," he sighed, waving it off. He wanted to explain more, but then that would ruin the moment more than it was already. He tried to think of another good quote, when it hit him.

She had called him a hot liar.

Now blushing, he hid his face and, out of embarrassment for himself, laughed. "Well, I am a weapon in human form, so I can see why you say that."

Nix, now throroughly red and certainly embarrassed, had to admit that that quote had been very well-placed, though the lines reminded him of something that made him laugh.

"Kinky. I have to ask, Ms. Luna - are you trying to seduce me?"

It wasn't the best flirt he had in his mind, but to be fair, he was making them up on the spot, and anything else would embarrassed him even more. How did they get from Skybrim to Soul Beater? Nevertheless, he let it go and laughed. " Have to admit that was a good one, though."
