"No!" He suddenly pushed her away from him and stood up, still shaking but seeming a bit better now.

"I can't do this anymore. My whole life I just stood by while everyone else did everything for me. I was never strong enough to solve my own problems. But now.. I have Corona on my side. I want to help people! Please let me help.." He looked to the floor with a look of sorrow on his face. He couldn't stand the thought of just being some wuss.

Hmm..well I suppose that kinda makes up for your failure before. Maybe you really are learning something. You can rest now.. I'll take care of the rest. Especially considering how you just pushed the headmistress..

His face became serious once again, the flash of gold appearing in his eyes. He looked down at the headmistress and offered his hand to help her up.

"I apologize for that."

As she was pushed away, Maria merely raised an eyebrow, and there was no other emotion on her face. "Kids these days..." she said to herself with a sigh, closing her eyes for a moment. When Paul started speaking, though, she just listened and nodded. It was understandable that he didn't want to just sit around and let her handle this.

"I'd prefer not to put the lives of my students at risk," she said. "Even if you do want to help."

Once the gold appeared in his eyes again and he became serious, the Headmistress decided that he definitely had alternate personalities. She took the offered hand and pulled herself up, then folded her arms over her chest.

"No need to apologize," she told him. "So is that all?"

"I'm afraid I must insist in helping anyway that is possible. Surely after all this time you realize that stopping a teenager from doing what he or she truely wants to do is near impossible." He winked at her and smiled. "You also must be stressed out with all the work you do here. Too much stress isn't good for you, ya know?"

She laughed softly. "That's true. It is quite impossible to make you kids listen." Maria shook her head, still not wanting to let him help. Even so, she knew that he might do it behind her back, so what was the point?

".... Too much stress isn't good for you, ya know?"

"Oh, I know," she said. "But I could always make the teachers do it for me. Then again, they never seem to do anything right." At this, the Headmistress looked down and sighed. It seemed that no one in this school could handle anything.

"So, I suppose I'll let you help. However, if you get hurt, I won't let you. Is that understood?" An eyebrow raised and she watched him, wondering if that answer would be good enough for him.

"Hmm..."

He thought a bit about her offer, crossing his arms and closing his eyes.

"It is, however, until we have a deal... I want you to inform me of any new information on the matter, just as I will inform you. In addition, 'getting hurt' means something along the line of a serious injury - requiring hospitalization for several days. I don't want you pulling me out of this because of a scratch or bruise."

".... I don't want you pulling me out of this because of a scratch or bruise."

At this, Maria just laughed and shook her head. "Don't worry, I wouldn't do that. I may be a slightly over protective Headmistress, but I'm not that bad," she assured him. The woman would never make him do that just over something as small as a bruise, that would be just plain ridiculous.

"And don't worry, any new information I get, I'll send it to you right away." She paused for a moment, realizing she didn't know this students' name. "Uh, yeah, what was your name again?" A slightly awkward time for the question, but the Headmistress needed it if she ever wanted to call him down to her office.
