Remain truthful. That was an interesting statement for Adryan. He wasn't one that was blatantly dishonest, but he definitly left off key details in situations. It was how he played his game, so if he was ever caught, he would be telling the truth to authorities. He knew, however, that would not fly with Hah'en.

He nodded to her with a smile, agreeing to her terms. He held his hands up when she pointed the fork at him almost threatening him. A small chuckle escaping his lips.

"Ok ok. I'll be honest. Though to be fair...I've been honest with you the whole time."

He raised an eyebrow slightly at her before looking back down to his food noting that it was almost gone. It was a shame that he was almost done with his meal as it was really good.

"Then we must have very different definitions of honesty."
Hah'en said with a look that clearly said that she was doubting Adryan. The man had tried to lie to her the first time they met, and seemed to constantly put on a front and say half-truths. But...Hah'en wasn't going to force Adryan to change his demeanour. He wasn't doing that to her, after all.
"But in the end this is merely a request, I cannot make you do anything you do not want to do."
Hah'en stated and calmly ate her food, and gathered the last bits of the food into her fork. She always ate too fast in this place, the food was too good.

"Fair enough. I'll change my statement to I haven't lied to you."

Adryan smiled once more as he finished his meal and sat back. The food was extremely good. The atmosphere was perfect for what they were going for. But even with all that, Adryan was enjoying the company the most.

"But, I promise I'll be nothing but completely honest with you from here on."

Adryan wad hoping she'd remember that when he gave his word he kept it. Not only did it serve him well when dealing business, it also kept him out of trouble. People knew his word could be trusted.

"I feel like I still owe you for basically letting me go."

Hah'en finished her meal and carefully wiped around her mouth, despite knowing that there probably wasn't any food there. It was a habit. She folded the napkin, set it on the edge of her plate and then proceeded to give Adryan a deadpan look as she answered.

"We shall see, then. But if I hear you utter the words 'it's not what it looks like' at me I will most definitely make sure you will never see me again."
Hah'en's tone was completely serious. She would not tolerate Adryan forcing her believe things, just the fact that he had used it on her twice and one of those times worked was grating her nerves.
"You do not owe me anything, I do not do anything I do not want to do. If you are here you must be here out of your own volition, if not you should walk out that door right now."

Adrian chuckled a bit as she spoke of him using his ability. He had zero intention of doing so to her again, especially with her knowing how it worked.

"If there's any reason I'm here right now I can promise you it's because I want to be."

He crossed his arms across his chest as he looked across the table at Hah'en.

"Besides, who in their right mind would keep wanting to be around the person that could have had them thrown in jail or worse if they DIDN'T want to be there?"

It was true. For all that Adryan was, he wasn't an idiot. He knew he should be locked up currently, or at least have been locked up initially. Its not like most cells could keep him. But he wasn't because of her and she kept him out of trouble because she wanted to. That fascinated the thief.

"I do not think any normal jail would hold you for too long."
Hah'en said with her eyebrow slightly raised.
"And I also do not think you are completely in your right mind, if you were you would have avoided me despite the fact that I did not deliver you to the authorities."
Hah'en shook her head a bit, Adryan was a frustrating and confusing man but at least Hah'en was not bored in his company.

It was as if the waiter could sense them being done with their meal, because he suddenly appeared from the kitchen with the same kind smile from before. He collected their empty dishes and turned towards Hah'en, and this time she noticed that the waiter purposefully had his back slightly turned to Adryan. Hah'en realized the waiter had done the same thing each time he had been to the table, he had only focused on her.
Maybe she came here too often, this was bothersome...

"Would that be all? Any dessert?"
Hah'en glanced at Adryan, back to the waiter and she shook her head.
"No thank you. What about you?"
Hah'en purposefully shifted the attention to Adryan, because if this waiter really held some kind of attraction towards her she didn't want him directing it towards her so obviously. It was embarrassing for both of them when Adryan was right there.

Adryan nodded along with her statement. A normal jail wouldn't hold him. He brought a hand up to his chin and thought about if he was in his right mind or not. "Of course you are. You are perfectly fine." That was all Adryan needed to let out a small chuckle.

"Maybe you're right. I very well might not be."

When the server came up to them, he did take note how he seemed to be ignoring Adryan and focusing on Hah'en. Thinking nothing of it at the moment he let the two talk until he heard his name.

He smiled as Hah'en tried to shift the attention off of her. Adryan was going to make sure to bring this up to her.

"No I'm fine. Check's on me please."

He nodded to the server as he turned to retrieve the bill. Adryan looked back to Hah'en with a mischievous grin.

Hah'en wanted to sigh when she saw the look in Adryan's eye. She would hear about this later, for sure. But for now she just wanted to redirect the waiter's attention, and Hah'en felt relief when Adryan didn't order any dessert. She didn't even argue about Adryan taking the check, though when the waiter left Hah'en gave the man a small glare.

"That was unnecessary, we are splitting the check."
Hah'en stated while they waited for the waiter to return.

"No no no. I told you this was on me. A congratulations for winning in the arena today."

Adryan insisted as she argued about splitting the check. He was a man of his word and he told her earlier it was on him. He waved his hand dismissing the topic and brought back his mischievously smile.

"The waiter seems to be into you. Want me to give him your number?"

His voice was teasing. Adryan would never do such a thing. It was just fun to pick at her to see what emotions he could pry out. Even if it came at the expense of being thrown into a wall.

Adryan did end up teasing Hah'en about the waiter, but Hah'en merely looked unimpressed and this time actually sighed.
"How could you possibly give him my number when you do not even know it?"
Hah'en said and raised her eyebrows slightly. She had not given Adryan her number, and there had been no opportunities for Adryan to somehow find it out.
"And if teasing me like this is an indirect way for you to ask for my number just ask me straightforwardly, it is faster and simpler."

Their conversation got cut short when the waiter came back, and Hah'en didn't want to cause a scene so she begrudgingly let Adryan pay the bill. Hah'en wasn't overly prideful but she didn't like owing people, or being in their debt. Those were ties to hold her back.
"Thank you, and come again."
The waiter said after Adryan finished paying the bill, and Hah'en firmly ignored the glance the waiter sent her way. Instead she nodded, waited for the waiter to leave and stood up, heading to the exit.

"Since you have now congratulated me, I will be on my way."
Hah'en said once she they were outside, turning to face Adryan. She allowed her shoulders to loosen a bit now.
"Thank you for the meal."
