Scarlet, being less respectful than her husband, did just what he thought to do.

...........

(Okay, that wasn't really my post. Here: )

Once out in the sand, Scarlet wished she hadn't worn any shoes. Right now she sorely wished she could just take off her shoes and bury them in the sand. But she didn't. She didn't want to embarrass Ivan in any way at all.

As Ivan walked on the beach with Scarlet, he paid no heed to the sand in his sandals and between his toes and all over everywhere on his feet. He didn't mind. In fact, he had been expecting it. The sand was quite soft; If Ivan had to fill a mattress with sand for any reason, this would be the sand to use. Of course it wasn't as comfortable as his own mattress. Or was it? He mentally noted to buy one of those foam mattresses when they got home. With the way it changed shape to support those upon it, it would prove useful as Scarlet progressed further and further into the stages of childbirth. The sun shone bright off of the water's surface. Due to the high income required for such a reservation, there were not too many people on the beach. Most were either here for business or luxury, the latter relaxing on the beach or in the pool complex while the former used the internet access the hotel provided. Ivan silently thanked his lord and savior that he was here for luxury rather than business. He turned his head to Scarlet, smiling. She didn't appear too comfortable, and using his common sense he decided it had to be her shoes. "If you want you can take off your shoes." He offered. "I'll carry them for you."

Scarlet had been watching the ocean when she felt the vibration of his voice upon her skin. She turned in time to get what he was saying. She smiled in happiness and quickly slipped them off. "I can carry them, though. You don't have to." She could almost bet he would carry them anyways. He was just that kind.

Ivan shook his head. "No need. I'll carry them." He reached out to take her shoes for her. He turned his head to look at the view of the sea. The way the sunlight shone off of the water was truly magical. It was difficult to imagine a place he'd rather be, mostly because he was already with Scarlet. "It's a beautiful day." He pointed out, grinning. He had no idea that on the other side of their hotel, lurking. Sneaking. Lying in wait was an enormous dark cloud. It was there for the sole purpose to rain on everyone's parade. Seeing as how there were no scheduled parades, it would settle for ruining the beautiful weather for beach-goers.

((Is that one of your characters or what? O_o))

The sand moving into the spaces between Scarlet's toes, she curled her feet in delight. It didn't matter that the sun and heated the sand to a temperature that was slightly too hot, she just ignored that. Nodding at Ivan, she turned her face toward the sun and closed her eyes, hoping nothing was in front of her to make her trip as she walked.

((Nope. Random cloud.))

Ivan shifted, gaining dove wings. He used them to hover behind and just above Scarlet. The black mass grinned with malice, finding a couple whose day he could ruin. With thunder as his laugh, he fired thousands of bullets of rain at his targets. They would not escape dry if he could help it. If he did particularly well, he'd soak their clothes through.

((Okay))

Lucky for Scarlet, she couldn't hear the loud booms of thunder. But she did see and feel the rain as it pelted against her. She looked at Ivan before running back to the door where she had come outside through.

Ivan frowned. The rain had completely ruined the moment. The cloud proceeded to wreak havoc, soaking everyone. Ivan somersaulted before flying in through the door and shaking off his feathers. He would have kept himself aloft with his wings, but there was not enough wind power in the lobby to stay in the air without using a lot of strength.

Scarlet wrung her shirt out the best she could. Already, from only ten seconds or so in the rain she was soaked and shivering. "Kind of ruined my bath..." She muttered. "And my hair was just beginning to dry."

Ivan changed into a towel and wrung himself out. He changed back, now mostly dry. With a large grin, he changed into a blowdryer. Standing up with his cord like a snake, he patiently blew a stream of hot air on Scarlet to dry her off.
