Scarlet gave a disappointed look. "Shame on you." She took his hand and leaned her hip against the railing that surrounded the balcony.

Ivan frowned. "If having such a lovely wife merits shame, yes. I am very ashamed. I am terribly irreversibly ashamed. But! I'll live." He chuckled, never ceasing to be amused in Scarlet's presence.

Scarlet gave a fake sad look, though she was quite pleased by his words. "Well," she drawled out "Despite the shame you have in having such a lovely wife, I love you. And I always will." She then beamed at him.

Ivan smiled, warmly embracing Scarlet. "I will still love you when forever has withered with age. I will love you even after the earth itself no longer exists. By the time all of the stars have gone out, my love will have not diminished." He grinned, hope reflecting in his eyes; Hope for the future, hope for the present, and hope for the two of them together.

Scarlet hugged him back. "You're much more poetic than me." She backed up and shook her head. "Okay, time for our walk." She pulled him back into the room so she could put her shoes on.

Ivan noticed that since they visited the doctor he had been doing a lot less following and a lot more being pulled along. He slipped his feet into a pair of sandals before opening the door for Scarlet. He had already silently agreed to avoid getting mad at Scarlet while she was carrying his child, no matter how aggressive or erratic she became.

Ivan spoke not a word of complaint. "Let's get to the beach." He suggested, leading the way. The elevator was smooth, and arrived moments after he pushed the button. Ivan climbed in, fondly remembering how the ride was so smooth one could hardly tell they were moving at all.

Scarlet stepped in and crossed her arms over her chest, forcing herself not to press every floor's button like a little kid. She stared at the floor so she wouldn't be tempted to do it any more than she already was.

Ivan smiled, stepping out as the elevator came to a halt. The employees paid attention to them, but did not stop what they were doing. Ivan knew that if he stiffened up and fell forward one of them would dive to catch him. He cast the thought aside, leaving it for someone less respectful to mull over. He walked to the back door which led to the beach.
