Ivan felt the power flowing through his veins. He considered himself lucky to have one, but now he was borrowing a second one! Ivan focused intensely. Hey, how's it going? There was a loud roar from the tiger cage. Apparently concentration failed Ivan. He laughed, aware of how terrible he was at adapting to this new power.

Ivan repeatedly tried to greet the monkeys and failed each time. He finally sat down on a nearby bench. I'm a failure. Yup. You can't even talk to monkeys like us. Ivan jumped up. It worked!

Ivan smiled. "Alright then." He replied, passing her a smaller map of the zoo. "Where to next?" He asked.

Ivan chuckled. So far he had picked out every place they went to. He didn't feel right making so many decisions for Scarlet, but that's what she wanted, so he didn't mind. He led her to the otter area where the otters were swimming playfully through the water.

Ivan's eyes went from yellow to green. He became a sort of cat-human hybrid as he responded with the instincts of a feline and caught Scarlet before she hit the ground. As cries of awe erupted from the crowd, Ivan leapt on top of a nearby building and ran to the other end where he leapt across to another rooftop. He eventually came to a secluded place where he set her down gently to rest. He leapt onto the roof above her; No one would harm while he was around. As he waited, he waved his long black-furred tail. He gradually became more calm as he watched over Scarlet. She's just so beautiful... That's why I can't afford to let my guard down. Ivan immediately became alert again.
