First it was Hazel that turned red, then Agatha followed shortly as she was soon drowning under an avalanche of offering that she did nothing to deserve, nor was probably worthy of. She quickly stuttered a clumsy answer.

"I...No I couldn't! That's what you do for a living, it would only be fair that I pay for what you offer...That's awfully generous of you, on all terms."

She looked quite happy though, even though it scared her a bit when she was, as she had lived on the pessimistic side so long, she was half expecting that there would be a catch. People never offer anything for free...At least that was how she was used to the world.

"T...The truth is I dont have any money right now, and your job offering seems like a gift from above. I love cooking and I would love to work in a shop...Even though I have to admit I have never worked before. I used to live in a mansion, but we didnt have any maid or servants and I mostly lived alone, so I'm quite used to cleaning up everything....I guess what I mean...Is that if you'd have me, I'd be thrilled to work for you."

Her frail smile seemed to quickly become a lot more restrained, as if she was preventing herself from being this happy

"I have no professional experience...I mean I did the dishes once for a society party, but I mostly did this. I stayed in the backroom for the whole evening...Not that there is anything wrong with that, I'd take any job you would offer at this point...But what I mean is...You might have to patient with me..."

Hazel munched quietly, listening to her stumble fluster through the accepting of Hazel's offer. Alright, that's great to hear. She was honestly a bit worried when it just suddenly came up. Hazel wasn't really sure what she was thinking, but it did seem to be quite the good idea at the end.

"It's alright. I don't mind if you help out, I do those more as a hobby thing then anything else. And I don't mind about your lack of experience as an actual maid, if you can get the job done. You can begin tomorrow, and I'd like for you to be a live in maid. You'll probably learn from both me and Haru, so we can teach you stuff like dishes and laundry."

About half way through, Hazel was smiling a little, nodding a bit too herself. Well, this was going to be fun teaching her, and it'll hopefully help both of them get their mind off of things. And more importantly, get Agatha used to magical creatures and whatnot.

Agatha felt genuinely relieved. She was barely setting a foot onto the island she already met such a formidable person who was so generous and kind. Not only that but she had a job she knew she could do impecably...A steady outcome would allow her to settle comfortably and to focus on her studies...She was fairly certain that Hazel wouldnt turn out to be a bad person out of the blue and stab her in the back...That was always a plus.

"Thank you so much Agatha I...Never expected people to be so hospitable and generous, especially towards me."

She felt her heart clentch a little...Her dried up heart used to take beating after beatings was drinking up the affection and care like a sponge. It was breathing new life in her. Plus, making her a live in maid meant she didnt have to worry about a dorm...Yet. She didnt take too much room afterall. Her books usually did, but she couldnt see herself gathering an uncomfortable amount of books before some time.

"I should probably start to call you Miss Arlnest then..."

She had a faint smile before she added

"Did you have plans for the evening ?"

Hazel shook her head taking her hat off. Her hair was till pretty well groomed, though some of it frizzed up when she took off her hat.

"You don't have to call me Miss Arlnest. I get enough of it from Haru. Hazel will be just fine, as well as Agatha. As to any plans this evening, I do not, no. Did you have any ideas in particular then?"

She definitely seemed to be getting quite into it already, which was great. This would bold pretty well then if she did enjoy Hazel's company and wanted to do stuff with her. She'd probably have to tell her about some of her other unfortunate circumstances. Not now, but at some point.

Agatha's hair on the other hand were quite messy. It was clear she had spent all day making her way to the city...And the day before...And the day before...And the day before...Nevermind that she was in the mood alright. When she asked her what she had in mind she froze a bit and then understood the confusion.

"Oh...Er...No I was...Well I was wondering if you'd like me to do...Maid stuff according to what you wanted to do, like, draw you a bath, cook you some dinner...I didnt intend to...I'm not going out a lot so I dont actually much idea what to do for fun around those parts...or around any parts to be honest. I usually read...Or work."

She had an awkward grin then suddenly she seemed to realise something.

"Oh...I could play you some music ! I have my violin right there, but if you had a piano, I could play that too."

Hazel nodded, placing her hat on the floor next to her. Alright, she was already starting to get into these things. This was gonna be pretty good experience, she can already tell.

"Nothing of the sorts right now. I do have a piano, though. It was Elizabeth's, my cousin. She originally hired Haru before I took her as a personal body guard. Anyway, let's get you moved in. There's a decent sized room for I have available. After word we should go over a few other things then."

Hazel got up, stretching her arms. She looked down the hall, toward the other rooms.

"It'd be the third door on the left. The third on the right is my studio, with second on right being my room. Second on left is a bathroom, with the first left being a closet. First on the right leads to another spare bedroom. There should be mattress in there. Think there's a comforter and set of sheets in the closet. Afterword, you can meet me in my room."

She will nod, then float off to her room.

Her face lightened up when she said there was a piano here. If she had permission to, she would probably come to play every now and then...Probably not in the middle of the night when she was home alone like she used to but still, it was a good thing to know she wasnt going to lose any skill. She was pleasantly surprised when she offered her a guest room where she would have settled for a maid's room, but then again, her host was very generous. She nodded as she immediately remembered everything thanks to her photographic memory. She was half expecting that this too good to be true scenario would be punctued by a "You must never, ever under any circumstances open this room", said room would hide something horrific that would force Hazel to kill her on the spot so her secret would be safe.

Well she couldnt help to be paranoïd, even when everything was alright afterall. She notted that she said "Afterword" in place of "Afterward" but she felt like it would be rude to bring it to her attention.

"Thank you, I will settle my things right away...May I use the bathroom ? I could really use a shower."

Hazel nodded, grabbing her hat to go hang up. Yeah, she probably could use a bath herself. Especially with all the walking she did that day.

"Of course. I'm guessing you have a few pair of clothes with you. If not, part of what I wanted to do is to make some outfits for you. For now though, I will be in my room then."

She waited for Agatha to answer obviously about her clothes situation, then walked to her room. In there, she hung her hat up, then took a quick bath in her private bathroom, relaxing peacefully. She did make sure to finish up quickly, wanting too meet Agatha without being in a towel.

"Yes, I have a change of clothes in my suitcase. Thank you. And thank you again for offering to make clothes for me"

She bowed to her as she did when she introduced herself. She didnt know if she was japanese but since she introduced herself this way, she assumed she would have to repay the courtesy and show her how gratefull she was. She headed for the bathroom...Once there the tentation was too strong and she drawed a bath as well. Only this one would be nowhere quick...She hoped Hazel wouldnt mind, but she would be much more relaxed once she was clean and relaxed...And so she was. Even though it took her a good hour before she came out, rejuvenated from the bath, it was like a weight had been lifted off her back, she was a bit less hunched as she finally knocked at Hazel's door. Provided she let her in, she entered

"Sorry, it took a while longer than I anticipated."

She was now wearing a buttonned shirt as well as a black skirt and tighs, with a proper bow tie she would look a lot more like a maid...Well more like a waiter to be honest, but it was better than nothing. Her hair were still a little wet from the bath even though they were brushed a lot more nicely now. She addressed a faint smile to her new boss

"What was it you wanted to talk about, Hazel ?"

Even though it was more convenient to call her like this instead of Agatha...Shouldnt she be the one to go by another name ? Though granted, she didnt have a second name so...

Hazel was sitting on her bed when Agatha knocked. She gave her permission to enter. Hazel was wearing a white shirt with her legs being under the covers. She looked up, nodding at Agatha. In her hand was a notebook, which she set down next to her.

"Well, there's a few elephants in the room we need to discuss. Well, I need to. So, first and foremost, I hope you won't be too squeamish about this, but usually I like to walk around in my underwear. Sometimes I wear a shirt, but usually not. They aren't anything revealing at least, but a bit embarrassing."

To help show what she meant, Hazel moved the covers a bit, revealing a pair of Victorian bloomers that were pink with bunnies on them.

"It's a bit awkward, but the other thing I really wanted to talk about was the main thing. about a month ago, I ended up getting into a fight with a witch hunter, long story short, this happened."

She threw off the rest of the cover, revealing her leg. Or lack their of. Her left leg was a stub, with the prosthetic leg being next to her. The fake leg reached just above the knee, with a thigh high sock about half way on. The leg matched perfectly for the missing part of Hazel's leg.
