Adeloise watched at him as he spoke, weighing each word he said. There were monsters in the forest--creatures who were people once but now changed for the worse. Her curious look slowly turned into a scowl. She honestly never believed that people could lose it so much as to lose their humanity. She's met many ghosts in her age but all of them, even disembodied were all so human. Could there be a being that could be so... dangerous?
This island really opens your eyes, he continued.
Does it really?, she wanted to ask, but she turned her eyes to her guardians, both having worried looks on them. Did they believe this man? They probably do, by the looks of it. Adeloise didn't want to. There can't really be such a thing, would there? She didn't know much about supernatural things past her knowledge of ghosts but it was really hard to imagine.
"Adeloise, you should probably listen to the guy. He knows what he's talking about," said Adrien. His voice was light and warm, and not his usual playful tone. That didn't sit well with the younger girl.
She turned to look at Alex who still stood in front of her. He was really nice, even as to warn her about the dangerous things of the island. "What about you mister? Why are you in the forest instead of the city?" She bit her tongue--that must have sounded rude. "Are you looking for something?" she managed to add.
