The truth revealed, anarchy ensues

Cyan looked up at Miles, slightly confused. However, it only took him a couple of seconds to put two and two together. "Oh, so you were where Naka got those powers, weren't you?" Cyan hadn't been referring to the red-eyed teen, but was glad to have gotten a bit of extra info. He was also glad that his ability wasn't power stealing, as he found out when Naka summoned his wings.

Taking a second look at his new wings, Cyan noted that he might need to make some modifications to his sweater. Good thing he had dabbled a bit in making and modifying clothes, and this would provide a perfectly manly excuse for practicing his skill. For now, he'd just cut some slits in the back or something. "Um, hey Naka, you have a pair of scissors in the room right? Can I borrow them for a sec?" Cyan asked, turning around and heading toward his dorm before waiting for a response, "Thanks."

Cyan was as curious as anyone else would be about Naka's conversation, but after staying in the same dorm with him for about a month, Cyan had come to understand a bit of how Naka worked. If Naka wanted to share his business with his friends, he would. If he didn't, He wouldn't. It was as simple as that, and asking questions only made the latter more likely.

Cyan entered the room, crouching low to crawl through the fairy door, and grabbed the pair of scissors from Naka's stuff. He had his own pair, but he wasn't sure what had happened to them. Cyan pinned the sweater to the floor with his back legs, holding the scissors with both hands. He carefully cut a slit where each wing would be almost to the top and bottom borders. He would make sure to fix it so it wouldn't unravel later. When he was done, Cyan headed down the hall toward where the group had been.

Sorcha watched as Cyan padded down the hall, then turned to Miles."I don't have a lot of friends, so hearing you say that is pretty awesome. I think we will have some good fun. As far as the questions, looks to me like Naka isn't willing to answer too many right now."

Sorcha added wings and copying powers to her list to ask Naka about. It seemed like she would be asking a lot of question and she hoped that he was willing to do a lot of talking. She looked down at Naka's katana and mused out loud"ordinary, hmm, nothing that just happened was normal or ordinary"

She shook herself out of her musings when she noticed Cyan return to the small group. So, she thought, we are all going to act like the Prof and Naka didn't just have a 'family' moment or that they weren't treated to a light show. Mentally shrugging she figured standing around wasn't really doing any good, neither was it productive.

"So, we still heading out to practice?. Naka, you can try out your new sword as well. Miles and Cyan, your still coming right? The day is not getting younger and I am anxious to try out my new present."

Suze heard Tien's thoughts, everyone was friends with Naka uh? Chuckling to herself she replied"Of course I'm friends with Naka, I am sure he mentioned me to you. I sit behind him in Home Economics. He is always making some yummy food."

She took a step closer to Tien, briefly wondering if pulling the wings off of a fairy was a lot more fun than doing it to a fly. That was fun when she was real small but eh, it was boring now. She saw the smile Tien gave her and wondered how can anybody smile like that, especially to a stranger. You had to be, gag, a happy go lucky person to do that. This just got sicker and sicker in her opinion. That is why it was going to be a blast to play with the little thing.

"So, do you mind if I wait here with you? We can talk and become friends ourselves and that would make Naka happy wouldn't it?By the way, who did you say was with him? Where did they go? They seem to be gone for a long time. Aren't you worried? Should I go and check up on them for you? Suze hoped that by throwing all of these questions at her she might confuse her enough to get an answer.

Try anything stupid? That was a vast category. Cass wasn't prone to displays of idiocy, but villains usually considered acts of heroism 'stupid'. So fleeing or attacking wasn't an option - yet - and there was no point in guiding him straight to a police station. The cops on this island appeared to be completely ineffectual against the superpowered types; she'd spent an instructive hour in the library reading up on it. As he touched her cheek with his other hand - the same hand used on the rock; maybe one hand blocked powers, and the other disintegrated stuff? Damn, I wonder what his legs do - she held perfectly still, acknowledging it was a threat.

"I'm kinda fond of my freedom," she said smoothly. "I'll do whatever it takes to get it. You want me on your side, I'm there - but only if I get to emigrate to Brazil or somewhere afterwards. Someplace I can live my own life."

Her skin was cold, and in her pockets her hands had tightened into fists. They were the only signs of fear. "The people here took my life away from me. I don't care what you do to them, but I want it back. Deal?"

Tien didn't remember Naka mentioning Suze to her at all, and merely nodded, mystified, when the girl said otherwise. She'd never eaten anything he'd made; she only ate raw fruit and nuts, but he'd given Miles something to eat earlier, and by all accounts he did appear to be a good at it. When Suze threw an endless line of questions at her, however, Tien's mind worked at its optimal speed and she had no trouble answering - Tien was liable to throw questions that fast, too, and never understood why it was frowned upon.

"I don't mind; I think that he would; Miles and Sorcha and Cyan; they went to get something but I'm not sure what; I'm not worried, they talk to each other lots so that must be what's taking so long; you don't need to, I'm sure they'll come back soon." Taking a deep breath after rattling all that out at a velocity, Tien drifted back down to perch on the rock, indulging in a few questions of her own in the way others hated so much.

"Why are you at Starlight? Do you know Sorcha, too? How come you're out so late? Don't humans go to bed when it gets dark?" And, because her sense of isolation hadn't quite left, "Have you ever met another fairy?"

Cassandra. He said through the mental link. He could tell that the anomaly had restored itself, whatever it was that had caused it. However, her location had not yet changed. And he caught a glimpse of someone with her. He did not like the look of that scene. To be safe, he refrained from looking into her mind further. If that person had indeed caused the anomaly, it was unclear how much damage he truly could wreak. Are you well? He asked with a calm demeanor. Regardless of whether or not she tried to hide it, he would likely be able to tell by the way she responded. It was difficult for humans to truly hide the entirety of their feelings, even the ones that become quite good at doing so.

He figured she might be able to tell he was running towards her position. But her own safety was considered a much higher priority than anything else - even if it meant he was interrupting something such as a date (which he highly doubted it was, considering the circumstances).

Miles stopped the lightning. There was no point in messing with it at the moment if it was normal. If the sword was normal that would make it weird. Nothing but strange things had happened at this school. He might have a little fun with his experiments at this school. “Fine then, but that whole scene wasn’t normal, to me at least,” Miles said beginning to put his sword in its sheath, “I guess will find out about that whole darkness thing later than. The sword looks nice, by the way.”

Miles turned to Sorcha “Glad you have an open mind. I think I will enjoy my time here.” Miles thought about the training he, would get to see more of the others powers once they began the training. This day seemed to get more interesting as it kept on going. The weasel had shown that it cold grown wings like Naka’s and went to get scissors. It must be going to make some modifications to its clothes. Miles realized he still had some questions for the fairy. He had gotten distracted by the food, the stain, and this situation. Since Naka wasn’t going to answer questions till later he might as well head back. “I’m going to check on Tien, see you down there, Miles said as he began to walk back to where Tien was.

Naka also resheathed his sword and nodded to Sorcha.
"Okay we can go and test out your new sword and maybe have a rittre fun. Rets grab Tien first." He announced as he took her hand and started to head back out to the courtyard. Today had given him much to think about and he figured it would be fun for him to test out the gifts his father had given him and to help Sorcha get acquainted with her present.

Tatsujin couldn't believe how well this game was going. he didn't need to threaten this girl or anything of the like for reasons pertaining mostly to her own troubled life. Given that he looked into her eyes and smiled.
"Of course you can have your freedom. How does eleven million dollars sound? We can provide it for you, of course that's contingent on my survival of this ordeal." He said to her. With that he had set up the necessary dominoes. She wanted to leave and be free, he could offer to provide that, and if necessary, back it up, in return she could be relied upon more liberally now, given that it actually was her deepest desire to leave this place. Furthermore, he had deduced she would need the funding because if she already had that, she would have done it already. Two factors clicked that might have led him to believe there could be some problems, one of which was that she didn't actually want to leave and was just reacting to the stress of the situation, but he took these things into account and bearing them in mind, he placed one hand on each of her shoulders and lightly massaged with his thumbs. It was his understanding that in countries that had more contact between people, this was a method of soothing someone's nerves and that was exactly what he wanted.
"Do we have a deal?"

"All right! let's get to business!" Cyan said, flapping his wings slightly for emphasis. He had no need for his wings at the moment, but they were just so cool he decided to keep them out. Now he had even more of a reason to go out and practice with the others.

Cyan was almost glowing with happiness as he thought to himself "I'm glad I went out tonight. I discovered a new ability and made some new friends." Cyan didn't want to be the one to say it if it wasn't true, but he felt that he had made some good friends that night.

As the group walked toward Tien's location, Cyan mused silently about the current situation. Normally, everyone would probably be asking tons of questions, but there were so many things to ask about that the dynamic had gone full circle. To Cyan, everyone seemed to be quietly thinking about what was going on. Either that or they knew something he didn't.

Sorcha entered the courtyard ahead of the others and came upon Tien and another student talking. Tien was shooting questions at the newcomer who looked like she was in grade school. She had wide innocent eyes and a small childlike body. Tien finished with her last question as Sorcha walked up to the two.

"Hey Tien, the boys are coming behind me, they should be here any minute. Who is your new friend?"As the girl looked Sorcha in her eyes, she had an immediate impression of Jason from the Friday the 13th. She had no idea where that came from, this girl looked like a little doll. Sorcha smiled and didn't wait for Tien to answer her but instead introduced herself."Hello, I'm Sorcha, and you are?"

—————————————————————————————-

Suze looked at the red haired girl named Sorcha. She had seen her around the school before, and whenever she did, she was always with Naka it seemed. Hmm, she thought to herself, wonder what's up with that. She saw the sword that Sorcha held in her hand and almost laughed. Who did this chick think she was, Xena the warrior princess. She almost laughed out loud it was so absurd.

She caught the fleeting thought of a horror movie baddie in the girl's head and wondered briefly where that came from. Well, she shouldn't be surprised after all, this whole lot were a bunch of weirdos. She also noticed the way the Sorcha girl stood next to the little fairy as to protect her.

She leaned over to shake Sorcha's hand and said,"Hello, I am Suze, I was just talking to Tien"nodding towards the little bit"it is Tien right?Anyways we were just talking about whether I should come look for you all. I was wondering what happened here. And to answer your question little one, yes I do know other fairies, a whole big neighborhood of them. I was friends with quite a few of them."

She was hoping this would be enough to get the fairy to like her, not that it mattered really. She was bored and and so far she couldn't get anybody to bite so that she could have a little fun. So far the fairy hadn't given her anything to have fun with. However, she had heard Sorcha and there were more coming to join the party, hopefully that delicious looking Naka would show up too. She smiled a big big innocent smile at the both of the others and hoped that things would pick up soon.

It couldn't be true. Muir Woods had been Tien's whole, large world for more than half a century, and she had never once found a vestige from one of her kind, let alone met one. How could this Suzume know any, nevermind an entire neighbourhood? Bewildered and excited in about equal measure, Tien drifted up from her rock and hovered near Sorcha, tiny face completely puzzled. "You do? Oh, please tell me where! I don't mind how far away, I will fly there myself!"

Her wings, ever an indicator of her emotions, flickered faster in apparent agreement. Truthfully, she could probably fly the length of the island in one attempt, but more than that would require rest and food. Still, if there was a chance of meeting another fairy, Tien would undoubtedly find a way.
