"You said this was a more...popular restaurant, so why is there so little to choose from?"

"Well...every restaurant has its slow days," John said, before quickly adding, "So, have you thought of what you shall eat, Selia?" John knew that his response to Selia's question was a terrible one, he should have prepared himself more, but he hadn't expected for Selia to be this curious. Stupid girl.

A few moments later, Jane returned, the same creepy smile still plastered on her face. "Have you decided what eat? Dean? Selia? John?"

"How do you know our names?" Dean asked, looking carefully at Jane. She had a slightly blank stare to her, as if she was looking at him, but not looking at him.

"We've been expecting you ever since you first appeared. John told us about you." John felt even more weirded out than before. What exactly had John told them? "Dean? What would you like?" Jane tilted her head slightly and stared at Dean.

He shrugged and took one quick look at the menu again, even though there was such a small selection and he already knew. "I guess I'll have the Smithy Burger."

Jane looked over to John, but before she could say anything, he imply nodded and so did she in return.

Finally, she turned her attention towards Selia and asked, "My dear Selia, what would you like?"

"Well...every restaurant has its slow days, So, have you thought of what you shall eat, Selia?"

Her eyes flashed slightly. She didn't like that answer, it wasn't a good one, and obviously John knew that so decided to change the subject quickly, and that annoyed her slightly, but she held it back. She looked back at the menu, and decided not to answer John there. Selia glanced up, when Dean asked the waitress how she knew their names, and she wondered that also, but Dean had said something before her.

She listened and looked back at the food. She didn't like the selection, nothing seemed very good to her, since she was never a fan of hamburgers, or most meat, but she would eat it occasionally, she figured she would just get the salad, even if she didn't like it how it was called the Steel Salad, it made her think of the papers again, and of the little information it gave of Steel.

"My dear Selia, what would you like?"

Her head snapped up, and she looked at the waitress Jane a moment, and hesitated before finding her voice. "Uh, I'll just have the... Steel Salad." She said and set the menu down and put her hands on her lap again.

"Uh, I'll just have the... Steel Salad."

Jane nodded and snatched up the menus, and tottered away towards the kitchen to most likely tell the chef their orders. Dean was slightly curious as to the fact that Jane never asked what they wanted to drink. Though he wasn't as thirsty as he was hungry. IN the end, he simple shrugged off the oddness and leaned back in his chair.

John sat upright in his chair tapping his fingers on the table rapidly, and constantly looking at his watch. Only moment later he got up and said, "Dean, Selia, I'll be right back. I have to talk to the chef for a moment." With that he turned on his heel and marched through the swinging kitchen doors and disappeared form their sight.

Dean decided to take this opportunity of alone time to confront Selia. He knew he had to do it sooner or later, and he had a feeling he wouldn't be able to do it sooner, so he had to do it now, while John actually left them alone; for once. He leaned over in his chair to get a bit closer to Selia and said, "Selia, there's something I need to talk to you about. It's important." Dean reached into his back pocket and, rather hesitantly, pulled out the folded white envelope.

Selia gazed at John, wondering why he seemed impatient, then he stood up, and said he had to speak to the chef. Selia watched as he walked away and into the kitchen, and the uneasiness came back. She forced herself to calm and leaned back into her chair, her eyes flitting around the room, taking everything in again. Her eyes returned to Dean when she saw him move slightly towards her.

"Selia, there's something I need to talk to you about. It's important."

She wondered what that could be, and her eyes showed curiosity. She looked at the white envelope. She stared at it, and then looked at Dean, and looked him in the eyes.

"What is that?" She asked, her voice seemed slightly quiet.

"What is that?"

Dean took a deep breath before answering. He didn't figure it to be this hard to confront her about it. But he had to do it, especially before John returned. "It's something I found in the hotel. Underneath my bed." He hesitantly slid the envelope in Selia's direction, gesturing her to open it and see for herself. He wouldn't be able to actually ask her the question.

Meanwhile, in the kitchen...

"...Yes, Sir, I understand. I'll try to rush the lunch and skip the store. I have a feeling they won't mind, especially Selia. I can tell she wants to meet you." John nodded as he listened to the voice on the other line of his cellphone. "We'll see you soon, Sir. Goodbye," he said, hanging up his phone and slipping into his left jacket pocket. "How are things going outside?"

"He just revealed the envelope to her. Should I go out now?" Jane said, after quickly peeking through the kitchen window, where Selia and Dean could be clearly seen sitting at their table.

John grinned and shook his head saying, "No, not just yet. Let's give them a bit. Let him confront her, see what happens. We'll make our move from there. If He is right, then everything will fall right into place."

"It's something I found in the hotel. Underneath my bed."

She stared at Dean for a long moment then turned her attention to the envelope, and picked it up in her hand and stared at it a moment, and then opened it. She pulled out the artical, and read it, Her eyes grew wide, and confusion seeped into them. Her hands seemed to start to tremble as she now just stared at the paper. Then she fingered the picture, and looked at it.

This must be one of her lost memories. She stared at the girl in the picture, and stayed silent for the longest moment, she could barely even hear her own breath, even though her heart pounded in her ears. She couldn't even imagine killing anyone. She has never hurt a soul, as least, thats what she thought.

She let the picture and news script fall to the table, then pushed them away from her, but her hands still trembled. She avoided all eye contact with Dean for the moment.

"I killed someone..." She said in utter disbelief. "I don't remember ever doing so... that can't be right." She put one hand to her pocket, but then got the feeling of being watched. Finally, she looked up, her eyes still seeming lost and confused. "I can't remember doing this." She said, and took a deep shuddering breath. All her life she thought she never killed anyone, and here was proof that she had, what did Dean think of this?

She looked down at the table, thinking of when they did their experiments on her.

"I killed someone..."

Dean studied Selia the entire time as she read the news clipping and report and looked at the picture in disbelief. It seemed as though she truly had no idea she had done that. But how could she not remember killing someone?

"I don't remember ever doing so... that can't be right. I can't remember doing this."

"Look, Selia, I really want to believe you, but I don't know. I'm sorry, I know I should believe you, but...but until we get this figured out, I don't know if I can." Was she telling the truth? Or was she just putting up an act? Dean had no idea, but he had to trust in Selia enough to believe that she wouldn't lie to him. Dean's eyes averted to Selia's hand, which went into her pocket, as though to pull something out, but she didn't. He knew she was keeping something form him, and he needed to know what. "What's in your pocket?"

"Look, Selia, I really want to believe you, but I don't know. I'm sorry, I know I should believe you, but...but until we get this figured out, I don't know if I can."

She slowly nodded her head. She could understand that. She knew he couldn't really believe this, seeing this, could make anyone believe she was a killer. She took a deep breath, and reached into her pocket.

"What's in your pocket?"

She pulled out the still somewhat damp paper, and unfolded it, then handed it to Dean. "This, will clear things up a bit... I hope." She said quietly.

The paper said:
Experiment #22

Selia Blackheart, was a most successful one, born in our very own labs, with beautiful powers of weather, but sadly, through our experiments, she lost most, and most of her memory. For years we added more and more fake memories, making her believe things she never truly did.
Selia Blackheart, age 15, date of birth October 23rd 1990 11:11 PM, rank: Assassin.
We gave her the knowledge of fighting, all the styles we could, but, she only managed a couple. We hope that she will learn more of her powers and strengths as she goes on.
When staying with her parent, father, Marek Blackheart, she stayed on our drug, to make her powers unusable, so she had no idea of the powers she had, but we took her off them as soon as she was nearing the end of her training

- - Johnathon Trueblood

"Its a note I found in my fathers study before I burnt the place down." She said, and shrugged lightly. She kept her gaze down, biting her lip.

"This, will clear things up a bit... I hope."

Dean took the envelope from Selia's hands, making sure he didn't tear it accidentally or something since it was still damp. He read it once, but went back at read it several more times, even slower. Selia was telling the truth. Dean couldn't help but let a small smile grow, now that he knew the truth. "I'm really sorry, Selia," he said, leaning in a giving her a quick kiss.

"Its a note I found in my fathers study before I burnt the place down."

"Is this what you didn't want to show me back at the hotel?" Dean remembered before Selia had entered the bathroom she mentioned something about keeping something to herself for the moment. The paper form her dad's office must've been it.

"John, I think you should see this," Jane said as she peeked outside for a quick moment to spy on Dean and Selia.

"Why, what are they doing?" John observed as Selia handed Dean a piece of paper. "What is that paper she just gave him?"

"I don't know. And look, he kissed her." John knew that Selia and Dean were close, but he had no idea that they were that close. "What do we do know?"

"Now, we make our move." John gestured for Jane to follow him. Jane placed the three lunch plates on a large black tray and followed behind John back to his table.

"I'm really sorry, Selia,"

She smiled, and kissed slightly back when he did. "Its alright, I would have been mistrustful too, if I found something like that." She said, and let out a short laugh.

"Is this what you didn't want to show me back at the hotel?"

She nodded. "Yeah... I didn't know if I should have showed it to you, but now I guess I had too, but now I'm glad I did." She said, and smiled again. She reached over and took hold of Dean's hand. She was happy he was here with her, if he wasn't, she would have probably freaked out and well, probably would have drowned, since it was his teleporting powers that got them to land.

She looked up when she heard John come back, and she looked over at John and Jane, then she let go of Dean's hands. She didn't like people to see the affectionate side of her, or rather let people see who was close to her.

Her eyes lingered on Jane a moment, then they went to John, after a moment, she looked away, and at the table, thinking.
