"Yeah... I didn't know if I should have showed it to you, but now I guess I had too, but now I'm glad I did."

Dean gave a slight nod and looked at Selia. "I'm glad you did too," he said, squeezing her hand lightly as she told hold of his. All Dean wanted to do was just stay there, in that moment, holding Selia's hands. He wanted to forget about everything, about John, the Ship wreck, everything. But reality smacked him right in the face, for only seconds later John came walking back with Jane. Almost forgetting about the piece of paper Selia had shown him, the one he was still holding. He couldn't let John see it, so he quickly stuffed it into his jean pocket, hoping he didn't tear i or anything; even slightly damp paper could tear easily.

John noticed Dean slip the piece of paper into his pocket, but chose not to comment about it. It wouldn't matter later on, no matter what kind of information was found on the piece of paper. John silently took his seat, as Jane quietly placed each order in front of the correct person; the same creepy smile John always used plastered across her face. He stared at Selia a moment, his head fuming by the fact that he was not told about her 'intimate' relationship with Dean. He had been told they were close, yes, but nothing more. The boss will have a field trip when he found out.

"Well...enjoy your meal, Selia, Dean, John," Jane said, taking a short bow and leaving for the kitchen once again.

Dean looked down at his plate; the Smithy Burger looked like any old cheeseburger, so he took a small bite, and to his surprise, he found it quite good, almost exactly like those from Mickey D's. And when he thought about it, it did taste as though his burger was...reheated.

Knowing the Dean could tell something was strange about his burger, John asked, "So, Dean, how's your Smithy Burger?"

"Yeah, it's...okay," Dean said, not wanting to cause any sort of suspicion, he simply continued to eat his 'Smithy' Burger as if he never noticed anything strange about it being 99% identical to a typical Mickey D's burger.

"I'm glad you did too,"

She smiled, then looked at John and Jane, and stared at Jane a moment, seeing her strange smile, the one that looked like John's. They had to be related somehow, since they both seemed like it, with their smiles, but she shrugged that thought away, and looked down at her food that Jane set in front of her. It didn't look like the best salad ever, and she grimaced slightly, but it was food, and she was still starving.

She picked up her fork, and took a bit of her food, and grimaced ever so slightly. It wasn't the best salad she'd ever had, but she would have to deal with it, since she was hungry, but she was still uneasy, and suspicious that something may be wrong, but she couldn't quite put her finger on it. She continued to eat her food. When John spoke to Dean, she looked up, and listened, and then she glanced at Dean. She had never been to Mcdonalds, well, not really, her mother brought it home once, but that was the only time, and she had been young, she didn't remember whatthe food had tasted like.

She took another bit, and decided not to say anything, though she hated silence. She had more questions for John, but before, he had seemed strangely reluctant to speak then. She will ask him more later, if she had a chance, right now, she needed to think more, everything here just put her mind in scrabbles.

((Sorry its not that good...))

Dean looked over at Selia, but almost at the exact same time, John had done the same. He didn't look at her that long, unlike John who continued to stare at her. John had noticed that she had been particularly quiet since they had begun their 'tour'. He wasn't sure how long he would be able to drag on his charade, he was getting tired of it already...he wanted to see the big finale. But, he had to follow his orders.

"So, Selia, do tell me, what do you think of the town's finest restaurant, Steel? Quite dazzling isn't it?" John took a small, almost minuscule bite from his fish. Dean observed him from the corner of his eye, curious as to why he would take such a small bite.

A few moments later, Jane returned, the same smile plastered on her face. "So, Selia, Dean, how are you enjoying your meal? I hope it is to your liking." She looked over to John, who once again, gave her a quick small nod. Jane nodded in return and turned her attention once again to Selia and Dean. "I will return in a moment to take your plates." With that, Jane turned on her heel and went back into the kitchen.

"But I'm not finished." Dean glanced down at his burger, he had barely eaten half way through.

"Well, we have a lot of ground to cover in such little time. So eat. Fast," John said, glaring at Dean, then at Selia. Dean looked at john, about ready to comment on how he too should eat faster, especially with those ant sized bites of his, but when he peered down at John's plate, he realized his food was completely gone. How was that possible? Dean didn't feel like hurting his brain over something so insignificant, so he overlooked the thought and continued to eat.

((It's okay! Mine ain't too grand either...lol.))

She felt the eyes on her, and it made her uncomfortably slightly, but only John's stare truly made her feel uneasy. She took a coupled more bites, and didn't say anything for awhile even after John spoke, though, she was mainly contemplating on a answer, if she should at all. Finally, she looked up from her food, and smiled, a friendly smile, that held nothing else of what she felt inside.

"Oh yes, it is very nice. I haven't been to many restaurants, so I have to say this is one of the nicest ones I've been in." She said, but she remembered going to a much better one, once, it was after she got out of the hospital, her father took her to one, it had been nice, except for the uncomfortable silence that had always happened around them. She wondered what her father was doing now, and if he was fine, but she had a feeling she would find out soon.

She looked at Jane who came by, and Selia gave her the same friendly smile. "The food is quite good." Of course, that was a lie, even the food at the academy was so much better, even the food at her old school was better, but Selia acted like it was delicious. She listened to them talk, in silence again, and continued to eat the food, and taking her time at that, she didn't care if she got to finish it or not.

"Oh yes, it is very nice. I haven't been to many restaurants, so I have to say this is one of the nicest ones I've been in."

John shot his smile directly at Selia, not saying a single word. He then nodded, took yet another minuscule bit from his fish, before setting his fork and knife aside. He took a quick glance towards the kitchen and then focused back on Selia. "Well, I'm glad you enjoyed this one."

Dean remained quiet, silently eating hat was left of his burger, while at the same time observing his surroundings. He hadn't quite noticed until now that the few people who were in the restaurant, never talked. Or if they did, spoke very few words. It was just eat in silence, leave in silence. He found it extremely strange, but chose not to bring it up, especially with John around.

A few moments passed before Jane returned, waltzing through the swinging kitchen doors and making her way to their table, once again. She looked at John, who gave her slight nod, before she began removing their plates. She didn't make a sound, she simply grabbed the plate off the table, stacked them on one arm, and left. "Well, we must be going. So many places to see, so little time. In fact, I'm not even sure if we'll be able to see every store. Selia, is there any place you want to see in particular?"

She looked at him, as he smiled at her, and she merely smiled back, then glanced towards the kitchen when he did, but for no reason. She then took a couple more bites of food, not even saying anything to John. She looked over to Dean as she took another bite of food, and remembered that he still had the paper she kept hidden, and hoped John hadn't seen it. She turned her attention away from Dean and swallowed her food, then set her fork down. Though there was still food on her plate, she had noticed Jane coming over.

She leaned back in her chair, and watched Jane take their plates, then looked beyond their table to a couple sitting at one. They said nothing, and kept their eyes down. Selia cocked her head slightly, then looked at John, and bit her tongue, so she didn't start asking about that.

"Well, we must be going. So many places to see, so little time. In fact, I'm not even sure if we'll be able to see every store. Selia, is there any place you want to see in particular?"

She folded her arms and thought, then slowly shook her head.

"No, there isn't. But I suppose I would like to see this mayor, I have some questions for him, that I doubt you could answer." She said, remembering how he had basically avoided one of her questions before.

"No, there isn't. But I suppose I would like to see this mayor, I have some questions for him, that I doubt you could answer."

John glared at Selia, before pushing his chair back, standing up, and said, "Very well, Selia." What an impatient little brat, thought John, but who could really blame her? Not even he could hold in the excitement much longer. He grinned and began to head towards the door.

Dean got up and followed behind, as far behind as possible without having John think something of it. He still had the piece of paper in his pocket, and he wasn't quite sure what to do with it. He leaned towards Selia as they walked and whispered, "What should I do with the paper?"

John knew that Dean and Selia would be plotting something, it was quite obvious, and he had a slight feeling as though it had something to do with that piece of paper Jane had mentioned. If only he had extra hearing like the Others. Soon enough he would get hold of that piece of paper, one way or another.

Selia smiled sweetly at John when he glared at her. She knew some people did get annoyed at her for her attitude at times, or always wanting to know things. It never made her father happy when she would ask way to many questions at once, he told her several times to shut up, but still, she would ask questions. When John got up, she stood also, then glanced at Dean when he did. She let John walk off a bit, then fell in step beside Dean.

"What should I do with the paper?"

She continued to look ahead, and John's back as she walked, considering the questions she would want to ask. She tilted her head slightly, and turned her gaze to Dean, and smiled, though it didn't reach her eyes.

"Just keep it with you for now. I don't want to loose it..." Selia said. She reached over with one hand to take Dean's, mainly for comfort. This place gave her chills, but still, a familiar feeling seemed to hang in the air around her. With her free hand, she touched her side to feel the hilt of her fighting knife, in case she ever needed it, and somehow, she felt she might sometime soon, it was always good to be alert and cautious.

"Just keep it with you for now. I don't want to loose it..."

Dean gave a slight nod, padding the side of his jean pocket to make sure he still had the paper with him. He laced his fingers with Selia's as she took his hand, smiling slightly. Dena watched as they passed several more villagers, each one with an empty gaze, not even passing a glance at them, as if they weren't even there. "How much farther until we get to Smith Hall?" Dean asked, wondering how far the place exactly was. It felt as though they'd be walking for too long.

As John led Dean and Selia to <s>their death</s> Smith Hall, where Mayor Smith was waiting, he continued to review his plan within his mind non stop. He couldn't get anything wrong. There was no time for mishaps. He knew the Mr. Smith wanted to deal with Selia personally, that was clear, so he had handed the job of dealing with Dean to him. The only problem: what was he going to do? At the moment the only thing he could think of was killing him, but there was a 85,7% chance they they would need him in the future, as bait or persuasion. But it didn't matter really, everything would fall into place in due time. "We're almost there," John said with a small grin. All according to plan.
