Selia nodded slightly, agreeing with Dean. The place was empty, and she had to admit, it was slightly nerve racking for her a little, but she showed no sign of it whatsoever. She watched as John got the keys, and she raised a eyebrow slightly, then she put on a friendly smile when he smiled at her, and she cocked her head slightly.

"Joint rooms would be fine." She said. She didn't want to be to far away from Dean, but of course wanted her own room. She liked having her own room, since she had some things she liked to do with no one about, which was mainly trying to figure out where her father could be, but usually to write on her computer of updates, but she supposed there was no point for that, since her computer was lost on the boat. She frowned a little at that. She hated it when she loses her things, its frustrating.

The hotel was nice looking, she liked it, but the fact that is was very empty, made her feel a little alone in the world, even if Dean was right next to her. She glanced about the room. Some could presume, she hated empty places, with nothing, something she never really liked, though, she had no reason.

"Joint rooms would be fine."

John gave a small nod, along with a small smirk, and led Selia and Dean to their joint rooms. Both rooms were identical. Large, empty, with a small television and ugly beds that weren't truly comfortable at all. The bathrooms were small, but the strange thing was, that even though there wasn't any wires anywhere, there was still a television. Dean realized that there was no plug for the television, and yet, when he tried to turn it on, it turned on. Now that was suspicious.

As Dean continued to inspect his room, and the mysteries of the unplugged working television, John had slipped off into Selia's room, locking the joint door behind him. "Hello, Selia."

Selia followed, going a little slower then the others, wanting to stay behind a little, so she could think of what had happen to Dean and her today. She just realized how fast it had seemed to be, and she found that odd, because to her, she felt as if it was days ago. She felt as if it had been forever since she kissed Dean on the lawn, and the day they decided to on this terrible journey. Now, she felt as if they shouldn't have gone at all.

When they got to the rooms, she went into hers, and walked around it a moment, looking at the television, and she was curious as to how it worked. Shaking her head, she looked away from it, and stood at the window, looking out at the townspeople, still thinking it very weird how it was way out here. She was lost in her own thoughts, but when she heard a door being lock, she looked up suddenly, and turned on the spot, her hand going to her side, where her hand gripped the fighting knife.

She saw who it was, and dropped her hand to her side. Selia watched him carefully, then gave off a small smile.

"Yes?" She merely said, standing still, a smile also still on her face.

John stood where he was, not jumping at all when Selia was surprised to find him there. He noticed her hand swing to her side, and he knew that was where her weapon was, but soon after she realized it was him, she lowered her hand. Perfect.

John took a few steps closer to Selia, hands at his sides, a small smile placed across his face. "I was simply wondering if you would like some sort of assistance of any kind. Or perhaps you have a few questions? I am here to serve you." He moved his hands behind his back, and stood still and tall, though still quite close to Selia, the smile still present.

All teh while, dean was still preoccupied with investigating everything around his room, that he hadn't noticed at all that John had slipped into Selia's room and locked the door behind him. He wasn't very fond of the guy, there was just something he didn't like about him, he just couldn't put his finger on it.

She smiled friendly at him, even as he walked closer. She watched him a moment, then glanced at the door behind him. She knew it was locked, and something didn't feel really right, but she pushed that thought aside for the moment. She turned her gaze back to John. Slowly then, she turned to look out the window, and once again at the few people working down there.

She glanced at John when he asked if she had any questions, then she looked out the window again, trying once more to see if there was anything technology like, but there was no sign of it, but then she remembered the TV she saw in the room, and that got her wondering.

"Why is there no technology here?... and yet... you have a TV in this room, and the other... why? And I am also curious as to why this village is in a remote place? Or is there a city or something nearby?" Selia asked, and cocked her head towards him slightly.

As she waited for a reply, she wondered what Dean was doing, and if he noticed that John had come in, locking the door, but as there was no sound near the door, she figured he hadn't, but almost wished he had, she had to admit, she didn't like being around John alone, but any sign of that, didn't show anywhere about her. She kept her gaze looking out, seeing some people out there look at the hotel they were in.

"Why is there no technology here?... and yet... you have a TV in this room, and the other... why? And I am also curious as to why this village is in a remote place? Or is there a city or something nearby?"

The girl wasted no time in wondering about the island. Though he was ready for any question she had. After all, he was told all about how Selia was. "The reason this town has no technology, is that our Mayor, Mr. Smith, believes that technology is a distraction from the world. That with technology, children want nothing more than to play video games and adults basically become breathing vegetables. Unable to detach themselves from the television's or computer's screen."

John smiled as Selia mentioned the television. He slowly made his way next to the TV and said, "Ah, the thing is Selia, this is no ordinary television. As you can clearly see, this television is not plugged into the wall since there is no plug, and yet..." John bent down and began pressing a small switch on the side of the television, and within a few seconds, the television turned on, and a newswoman was speaking of the current news. "This is an invention sent to us by a dear friend of Mayor Smith, called a gas television. This television does not run on electricity, but on gas, lasting only a couple of hours and showing only the daily news." John blew lightly into the TV, turning it off. He stood up once again and looked at Selia.

Dean was inspecting every nook and cranny in his hotel room. He had yet to figure out why on earth there was a TV in the room if there were a: no plugs and b: no electricity. "Hey John, how exactly does..." Dean stopped talking as he turned around and realized that John was no longer in the room. How weird. He noticed Selia's door closed, but didn't really think much of it at the time as he began searching underneath the bed and in the drawers for anything suspicious at all. He knew something wasn't right about the hotel, but he just didn't know what.

John nodded slightly and said, "The reason Mayor Smith has chosen to keep this village in a more or less remote location is because he believes that we do not need to be distracted with the chaos that goes on outside of our small village. We have had several passerby who have chosen to stay here, away from the chaos and violence out there in the real world. We have yet to encounter someone wanting to leave this tranquil village. No one has ever left."

Selia watched John, and listened to every word he said. She was curious. She walked a little to the TV, and stood there, and watched as John turned it on, and stared at the newswoman. Her eyes were opened wide, as she heard him speak again. She glanced at him for a moment. How could a TV run on gas, she was going to ask that but decided not too. She took two steps back when he turned the TV off again.

"Thats odd. I've never heard of such a invention." She said, glancing at John. She was curious now about this Mayor Smith, she opened her mouth to say something, but then snapped it shut, and she looked away towards Dean's door.

John had said no one left the town. That made her want to leave, to run and leave this place behind her. She hesitated, before she took one step towards Dean's door, then stood very still, and looked at John. She was getting uneasy now. Since entering this village, she always new it felt weird, and now she was finding everything stranger. No one left. Would she and Dean leave? Or would they find this place to wonderful to never want to leave? Or would something else happen...? And another, John had locked the door, and she couldn't stop thinking of why?

"Leave me, now. I have no more questions." She basically commanded.

John gave a small chuckle towards Selia's comment. With a small nod he replied, saying, "Well I wouldn't be surprised. Mayor Smith has forbidden its distribution outside of our town. He wouldn't want profit to ruin what he has wonderfully constructed here." He looked carefully at Selia as her mouth opened, as though prepared to say something but then closed quickly, choosing instead to keep quiet. It was a smart move on her part, at least that's what John thought. He was almost starting to get annoyed with her pestering. But he had to refrain, especially with the boy next door. And he had yet to know what power he had.

His head tilted slightly when he noticed that Selia took a small step closer in the direction of Dean's room. She became uncomfortable around him. She knew something was going and, he could feel it. John's suspicions were confirmed when Selia told him to leave, well more like ordered him to leave. He had to play it cool...for now. "Of course, Selia," John said, with a small nod and smile. He reached into his jacket pocket and removed a small card; it was all white with a thin black border. In the middle of the card it said it big red letters:

<div align=center>John Smith
Manager of Smith Inn
Official Tour Guide
666-666-00</div>

John handed Selia his business card and walked out of the room, slipping her key to Dean's room in his left jacket pocket. He opened the door, turned on his heel, and said, "Waiting for your call. I'll see you soon." Before closing the door behind him and returning to his post.

Instead of saying anything to John, she stayed silent, and justed watched him. She wanted him gone, she needed to think, and he made her uneasy. She took the card when he handed it to her, and just put it on the bed. She would have slipped it into the pockets of her jeans, in they weren't damp still. When John left, she took in a deep breath and closed her eyes tightly. She stayed there a moment, before she opened them again, and she explored the room a little. On a table there sat a basin of clean, fresh water, and a small towel near it.

She dipped her hand into the water, then leaned forward, and threw some of it unto her face, then she took the towel to dry her face. She set it down, then wandered over to the TV again, and just stared at it for a long moment, turned it on and watched it for a few moments, before she turned it off again.

She went over to the bed again, and piked up the card, reading the name several times, before she closed her eyes tightly, thinking of what had happened since the boat, and the storm. If she knew that would happen, then she would have never let Dean come. She would have never left the school, where she was safe... until her father came for her. She shuddered at that very thought. Her father.

Was any of it worth it? Merely to seek information Selia didn't even care about until it nagged at her. She had no desire to find anything out about her father, nothing. She just accepted what her fate will become once he came for her. Accepted that she would have to kill others like herself, even against her will. But since she had met Dean, all that changed. She didn't want to kill anyone, and wanted to know more of what her father did. Would have been better not to have even meet the boy who made her change? It would have saved him the pain of the storm, and the unpleasant feeling about this place.

Thinking if Dean, she dropped the card, and went over to the door to his room, and tried to open it, only to find it still locked. She cursed under her breath. John had locked it, and didn't unlock it for her. She took a few steps, considering something. She could have broken the door down, as she has done before when her father was still training her to be a killer, but he mainly taught her things of how to sneak, and not be seen or heard. She wondered if Dean even noticed that John had locked the door, and she wondered what he had been doing since John was in here with her.
