Lochlann had arrived at the park early, hoping to run into Avian before the place got crowded.
He had a pounding headache and had thought about staying home, but he'd promised her a picnic and god dammit he was going to give her a picnic. He broke away from the main group and situated himself at a quiet spot in the center of the park near a statue of a woman with her arms raised out and seagulls resting on them. He thought she might like that.
Lochlann was wearing a pair of dark sunglasses, leaning against a big tree across from the statue. He looked sort of grumpy, with his arms crossed and his bad leg stretched out, but it was mostly because it was so bright.
He kept his eyes squinted shut and didn't even realized he'd started to fall back to sleep.
