This was a huge mistake.
Gabe had kept himself away for who knows how long. He needed the space, he probably still needed the space. But it was too late now. He had sent a quick text to Yuki to meet him on the roof. He had to see his friend. He had to come clean. Well, maybe not totally clean. But it was weird. He knew that something had changed, that something Gabe desperately needed to address. But try as he might, he couldn't quite figure out what it was. Was he actually smitten with his new friend? Was it just the emotional high from the constant panic attacks and in-depth discussions? Carmin's words from Gabe's unfortunate drunken escapade had stuck with him as he sat on the rooftop.
To be loved and feel important...
It was pretty obvious that Yuki hadn't quite experienced that state of being with his previous friend. He had been used, manipulated, bullied into subservience by some stupid little brat who... not the point. The point was Yuki had only recently developed a support system here on Manta Carlos. Carmin, Ganymede, and now Gabriel himself seemed to make up an odd little friend group. But as far as he was aware, Yuki definitely hadn't mentioned the idea of kissing the other two. A lot of things needed to be discussed and finalized, but Gabe was gonna do his best to be supportive while getting the answers he was looking for. Glancing down at the two books in front of him, he let out a small sigh. One book was on the idea of the language of flowers and their significance in different cultures while the other had been a self-help book on communication with your partner to strengthen your relationship. Although the second one was more romantically focused, the Halcyonite figured he could just adjust the lessons to work in a friendship issue versus a relationship.
Now all Gabe had to do was wait for Yuki to arrive and then they could finally talk.
