The world of Monster Hunting was dangerous. Extremely dangerous. So dangerous in fact, that the government paid hunters like her big sums of money just to exterminate the monsters that threatened the human race. From the undead to the legendary monsters, hunters were there to save the human race time and time again. Some people wanted to be heroes. Others wanted to just kill the shit out of something.

Alexia hardly give a shit about glory. It was the money of course.

Which was why she accepted this particular bounty. A hundred grand just to put down a snake? Not a problem! It was easy money. Supposedly there had been numerous reports of a giant snake slinking about in the woods. Students that heard about the mysterious snake were stupid enough to go search for it to test their skills. Sadly, all of them were put in the hospital. Since the snake couldn't play nice and co-exist with people, a nice fat bounty had been placed over it's scaly head.

She had been tracking it for quite sometime. The area she had to search was larger than she expected, but eventually she began to pick up on it's tracks. Trashed vegetation, broken branches, tracks in the dirt, and even trails of animal carcasses. Then there was something she did not expect; another set of tracks. Footprints? Human tracks. Boot prints ta' be exact. Was there a possibility that these attacks on the school grounds...deliberate? That would be interesting. Judging from the size of the footprint, the suspect had to be female and these tracks were made not too long ago. She wasn't that far behind. Oh, she couldn't wait to snatch her up. Alexia loved to play with her food. "C'mere mou'sy mou'sy," The red-head chuckled and continued to follow the tracks. Surely if she found the mystery woman, she'd find the snake as well!

It had been so long since Vieve had a good hunt.

Growing up on the outskirts of Montana, Vieve had spent much of her life outdoors. The last thing she had done with her father before he died was gone hunting. Since she'd been 'Wolf, most of her hunting was done on all fours, because there was nothing as satisfying as tearing at your prey with your own set of teeth.

But now, Vieve was human. She was saving the 'Wolf part of her until she got closer to the thing. She wasn't sure how poisonous it was, and this might be a case where she didn't want to get too close.

The young woman was dressed in camouflage, her dark hair pulled back into a cap, and her face was smeared with dried mud. She'd rolled in the broken foliage and the dirt the snake had already slithered through to kill her scent, remembering that, while they couldn't hear well, snakes had a sense of smell far better than even her own.

She had a crossbow on her back, a quiver of arrows on her hip, and her barretas strapped to her thighs. Some people did it for the money, others for the glory. Vieve did it for the thrill of the hunt.

Well, that and the revenge for eating the students, too. She sort of had to seek vengeance--she was an instructor, after all, it would be bad for moral if she didn't care.

Vieve had reached the end of the trail and gave a frustrated growl. She must have missed something.

She doubled back, being careful to stay in her own tracks, looking carefully for any signs of movement or disturbed brush that she'd missed before. She was being cautious, but she caught a scent and her head swiveled and in that moment, Vieve's foot caught a stick.

It cracked.

Such a tiny sound, but Vieve knew she'd just blown her cover. Sure enough, a medium sized doe burst through and ran through the underbrush. Frustrated, the huntress dug her claws into the nearest tree and lifted herself up onto one of the branches, sitting, waiting, thinking.

She didn't realize there was someone approaching downwind.

A twig snapped not too far from her right side and immediately she ducked out of sight, using the thick vegetation as her camoflauge. That was no animal. Alexia grinned, her heart racing in anticipation of what was to come. Whoever was out there seemed to panic, their movements quickened at the realization that they had just given themselves away to someone like here. There. She managed to catch a glimpse of someone scaling up a tree with haste. Ooooh? Wot do we hav' heer? This lass be lookin' cute. She definitely wanted to play with this one before she turned her in.

She outstretched her hand and the ring began to glow. Venator was perhaps the only useful thing she got out of the Vatican. It became a sword that could cleave through the strongest of metals and the toughest of carapaces. It also had the perks of being crafted with silver which seemed to be the most effective thing to use against all monsters in general. There were many theories, but she could care less. As long as it worked, she had no complaints.

Now with the sword in hand, she made her move, noting the target did not take notice of her yet. She dashed towards the tree, heels clicking their way up the trunk at a terrifying speed. "Aie've found yeuuuu~!" She laughed and pushed off the trunk, body twisting in mid-air as she swung her sword, the blade singing as it sliced cleanly through the thick branch the woman was perched on top of. Alexia couldn't help but lick her lips at the sight of her new toy. "Mnn~ Aie'm goin' t'have so much fun!" The branch had been cut cleanly in half and the only way now was down. Alexia decided to go down the same way, the sword poised to plunge into the woman below her.

Ooc: Since there's a lot of action I'll keep my post a little shorter

BiC:

What?"

Vieve looked up the moment something caught her peripheral view, but the figure was a blur, dashing up the tree and hacking at her branch. The next thing Vieve knew, she was falling.

The
Thinking fast, she tucked her arms above her head and landed in a roll, springing to her feet and leaping forward. She narrowly missed getting cleaved in half by something..glowing? Was it a sword? She didn't have time to look.

"Fuck."

Her fingers reached for her gun but she hesitated and dropped her hands towards her boot instead. She didn't want to risk the echo a gunshot would make, and she wasn't a big fan of using such a weapon unless she was absolutely certain she knew what was happening.

Which was certainly not the case.

Vieve took a calculated risk, spinning on her heel and turning towards her attacker, running towards her, hoping that her sudden initiative would surprise her attacker and give Vieve a moment to figure out what she was dealing with.

Dirt exploded on contact as the sword drove itself into the ground instead of it's intended target. That was alright. If her reactions were this good, it meant that this woman was going to be a challenge. Then she reached for her gun, but hesitated. Why? If anything, it would make things a bit more complicated. The woman didn't have anything to worry about.

Or maybe she was one of those 'honorable' fighters that thought it was disrespectful to bring a gun to a ..err, swordfight. A gun would be troublesome to deal with. Yes, she was fast enough to deflect most shots, but there was always that one stray bullet that she always just so happened to miss. It was annoying, but luckily in her field, she didn't have to deal with guns. Not really. It all depended upon the job. Anyway, the girl had guts for coming at Alexia with nothing but a knife. Alexia could have continued using the katana-form, but in doing so, she just might cleave the woman in half by accident.

It was time to change tactics! The sword glowed once more and the blade itself thinned out and the hilt expanded, shielding her hand. A rapier would do the trick! She dashed forward, sword outward, the point aimed for the woman's throat to stop her in her tracks. Then her eyes began to...roam; from top to bottom and she smiled in that way. " Oh mai...Wot is a lass liek yeu doin' innae place liek this?" She couldn't help but oogle at the woman at swordpoint.

The ground was disappearing under Vieve's boots and she wished she was barefoot. She couldn't explain it--her life was in danger--but more than anything else she wanted to take her shoes off.

For a brief moment, she considered shifting, but again she dismissed the idea. She'd have to drop all her gear, let alone the energy expenditure, and she wasn't ready to do that just yet.

The woman's sword flash and Vieve's eyes widened in response. The blade was thinner, more agile, and Vieve knew she'd be in trouble. If she didn't change pace--and soon--that blade was going right into her throat.

To complicate matters, the woman spoke: Oh mai...Wot is a lass liek yeu doin' innae place liek this?"

"Wh-What?"she said, thrown off. Vieve rocked back on her heels, her feet skidding into the ground, but she made a fatal mistake.

She rocked back like she was barefoot. Only she was wearing boots. Soft, supple boots, but boots none the less. Her balance was fucked.

Instead of skidding to a half, Vieve kept skidding in the soft dirt until she felt the tip of the sword graze her neck...and fell flat on her back.

This was not going according to plan. Not even close.

And to make matters worse, Vieve's ears caught something faint. There was a crackle of bushes and grass that sounded like something was slithering towards them. Her knife was still in her hand but she'd knocked the wind out of herself.

"Great, summoning your beastie to finish me off?" she said, her chest heaving with her effort to breathe. She locked her eyes with the woman before her, waiting for her next move.

Oh good! Well, that stopped the action fast. The sword tip followed shortly after the woman's fall, making sure to secure her--

Wait. Summon her beastie? A brow furrowed in question, "Mai beesteh?" Then it just...sort of clicked together; this woman was...Proabably looking for the monster as well. How true could that be though? Well for starters, they were locked in eye contact and from her experience, there was only a select few that could easily lie through their teeth doing that. If the woman WAS one of the select few, then it was going to be much easier having both the monster and the woman in the same vicinity. This was awkward...

But hey! At least she didn't have to beat this one up! The sword glowed a bright white once again and disappeared, taking the form of a simple old ring on her pinky.

The bushes three feet to their right rustled. She immediately regretted disarming herself. Instead, she reached fast, grabbing up the woman by the collar of her shirt and pulled her out of the way of something big and fast. The sudden weight throwing caught her off guard and Alexia tumbled with the woman out of harm's way as the giant snake slithered right over where the other woman once lay. Of course, Alexia had pushed the situation to a whole new level of awkwardness that topped everything off. She had somehow managed to straddle the new stranger and oblivious to the closeness they now shared, she looked over her shoulder, sighing with relief. "Well tha' wossa close wun," Now she turned her attention to the stranger and...smiled. Her hands came down to clamp over the girl's wrists. "Anywai, where were we~?"

Vieve watched the woman put her sword away, though Vieve missed where she sheathed it. Her breath was coming back and she was starting to plan--it was clear that this woman put her sword away to let the beast finish it's job but then--

--then Vieve was flung out of the way, her back hitting the ground hard, her breath once again shooting out of her lungs. The giant snake slithered past them and Vieve watched it go, her teeth aching in her gums and her fingernails starting to sharpen with her quarry so close to her. She watched it go with a canine whine escaping from the back of her throat.

Foiled, by this red headed sorceress--udging by the sword which seemed to have disappeared. Vieve was still trying to calculate her intentions, because it seemed that she'd pulled Vieve away from the snake, but still had her pinned?

Admittedly, being pinned under a gorgeous redhead in the woods was pretty close to a fantasy Vieve had one Saturday afternoon, but the reality was a little more complicated.

"Well tha' wossa close wun," Now she turned her attention to the stranger and...smiled. Her hands came down to clamp over the girl's wrists. "Anywai, where were we~?"

"You were getting off of me," Vieve said. She was still holding the knife in her hands but it didn't do her much good pinned like this. "And explaining what the hell is going on."

Her lips were parted slightly, tasting the air. She didn't want to lose that trail! She was so close!

This one was definitely unique in her own way. Alexia caught the subtle canine whine. Awwuh...If only the girl had the ears to go along with it. She'd rub them amongst...other things. Alexia never understood the hate between vampires and werewolves. They didn't bother her any as long as no wolf tried to eat her. According to her, everyone was fair game and this girl was a wonderful catch! Of course, she could be wrong and the girl whined simply because of the fact that she currently was being dominated.

Speaking of being dominated, she looked so cute! It was a miracle that her breasts didn't pop out from her opened dress shirt. It was probably a wonderful view that got ten times better when she leaned closer and squished them against the girl's chest. Gravity could be a wonderful thing sometimes. "Now wai would aye wan' to do that?" she chuckled. Alexia was close. Really close. she could see just how pretty those pink lips were when the stranger parted them. They looked so kissable--

It was hard to stay on track right now. Here she had such a cutie underneath her, but the snake was getting away. It reminded her of a time in New York. She had her orders, but the temptation was too great. She was just inches away from kissing those lips, but she veered to the side and whispered into her ear, "When aie've caught something bet'ah than a snake?" She even daringly nipped the girl's ear. Oh dear, at this rate, she was going to forsake her hunt. It would be here tomorrow. No harm in doing so.

"Now wai would aye wan' to do that?

"Because--" Vieve started, turning her attention away from where the snake was and to the women ontop of her. Or, more correctly, on the voluptuous set of sweater puppies straining to break out of the sweater. Hot damn. Was it hot out here?

Vieve suddenly forgot what she was going to say, which was more than a little surprising. She was a warrior for gods sake, but here she was, gawking at a pair of tits like she'd never seen them before.

But dayamn.

Then, she bit her ear, and Vieve knew she was in trouble. She squirmed underneath her captor, giving the slightest whimper...and that's when Vieve had an idea. She wiggled a little bit more, seeing if she could slide her legs up just enough to intertwine them with her captor's, making it seem like she was distracted by, well....everything. Because she sort of was.

What was she doing again?

Oh yeah. Hunting a snake.

That was oddly symbolic.
