“Good, I do too,” The girl — er, Noelle — returned. He was probably interested in the cold due to the fact that his current power spontaneously set him on fire. Gareth inwardly scoffed at the intruding thought and begrudgingly shrugged it away. “Say, you haven’t told me your name.”

Had Gareth mentioned that he wasn’t used to this? The sixteen year old hesitated for a moment, probably long enough for Noelle to notice. But, after that short period of stiff staring, Gareth finally returned the introduction.

[color=BA0009]“Gareth,”[/color] He said but his attention was drawn away a moment later by one of the teachers — at least he assumed it was one — as they entered the gymnasium and began to draw the students attention.

Noelle was interested in the fact that Gareth seemed unsure whether he liked the cold or not. He seemed to have just decided now. People did seem to appreciate it more when they saw her work, not that she tried to boast to much. Either way, as long as he liked the cold a little, that was enough for her.

When she asked his name, he seemed to stare at her, kinda like he didn't understand the question, or he'd forgotten his name. Noelle did that once, man was it embarrassing. But, she wouldn't jump to conclusions, he might have been thinking about something else, and the question caught him off guard.

“Gareth,”

An interesting name, but she liked it. Then she turned her gaze to where he was looking ,and saw a teacher enter the room. They immediately started gather the students, they started milling around, casually sauntering towards the teacher. Noelle shrugged, heading over there slowly, to Gareth would catch the drift, and start walking over there as well.

She hoped they didn't have to attack any dummies today, or do battles against each other, she hated it when that happened. She wasn't sure what other kinds of things one could do for assorted powers. It was a good thing she wasn't a teacher, she'd be desperate for ideas. Sure she taught children with snow and ice abilities, but that was the same power. What one thing could you teach to a group of people with different powers?

Then, the teacher started calling them into different groups, she called shape-shifters, the really smart people, and wait, she called elemental people. Noelle casually walked over there, trying to remain cool, but hoping to get there in time to see which group Gareth went to. She was curious. What were his powers?
