Watching Flayace's face turn red and her taking small bites was as cute as ever. He let out nice little chuckle knowing that she was embarrassed for something that he already knew she thought. "You don't have to be embarrassed, I already know how you feel." He said as he reached across the table and put his hand on hers. "By the way, you're adorable too" He said as he went back to eating his own pastry.

Upon finishing, he felt a sense of happiness in his mind. He had finally said something without feeling the least bit embarrassment and without blushing. "You want a drink? he asked as he looked down at the chocolaty drink. He had completely forgot about it up until now.

As he said those words, a chill went through her body, as she was not used to getting compliments. She kind of had to know that she would be getting them know, as she now has someone that would most likely be complimenting her for a long time. As she then noticed that be was touching her hand, and that they were again holding hands, she squeezed his hand for reassurance. Her blush had faded, which meant that hopefully next time she wouldn't be so embarrassed to say somethinh next time.

As she looked downwards at the drink, she nodded to him, and leaned forward a bit to grab the straw. This would be the first time that she had ever shared a drink with someone before. As she placed the straw in her mouth, she then waited for him to do the same. She wasn't sure as to whether they would drink at the same time, or take turns, but either way was worth a try.

Lestat leaned in only moments after Flayace to catch the straw with him mouth. Their faces were closer now that they had to drink from the same glass. Lestat didn't have a problem with it though actually. He began to to drink a little, not knowing whether she was going to as well. The drink was good, actually it was great. The flavor was indescribable though. He had no idea how he would say what he tasted besides saying that it was soothing and saliva inducing at the same time to his tongue. He looked down at the drink as he sipped it but occasionally looked to Flayace to see how she liked it. He smiled as well while doing this.

As Flayace looked down into the drink, she observed to two red and blue striped straws that were in the white mug. They were quite long, compared to others that she had seem in stores, and in other places like this one. Batting her eyes a few times, she directed for gazed towards Lestat, who seemed to be thoroughly enjoying the drink.

As she saw this, she too took her first few sips of the chocolaty drink. As the first sip reached her tongue, a bright smile emerged from her face, to signify that she was enjoying it. As she thought about the last time she drank hot chocolate, she thought back to two years ago, which to her, seemed like a long time. Even though, she had already been here for almost an entire year, it never seemed like that, as if the last year had just been a few days.

Sighing a bit, she backed up from the drink, as she didn't want to rush it all down. Flayace then directed a smile towards Lestat, as she watched as he enjoyed the drink. As she sat there, she decided to ask the same question that he had asked for a few minutes ago. "What about you? What to you like? What's your history? If you don't mind me asking."

Slowly moving away from the drink, swallowing what was left in his mouth, Lestat thought to himself about how he would explain his life to her. Its not the happiest store out there, after all. This wasn't really the time to talk about it since it was a date but he knew that he might as well tell her now, but how he would make it seem happy in the end would probably be a challenge to him.

Clearing his throat, since he felt as if he still had hot chocolate in it, he began to speak. Almost fragmented but pulled together, he said, "Well I don't like anything really, besides you, so that one is slightly simple to explain." He said with a smile on his face. It seemed funny to him how she was seriously the only thing that he liked out of everything in this world to like. But as his face got a little more serious, he continued.
"Other than that, down to my life, I guess. My father is a full blooded demon, one of complete ignorance, mischief, and especially greed. I know this from the years and years that I had to live with him. But my mom on the other hand, I have no idea what she is like, I never got to meet her.
He paused. His face was as serious as ever as of now. He went to sip a little more hot chocolate just before he continued.

"I was born here with the humans but soon after, apparently, I was raised in the demon world with my father where he manipulated me into doing a bunch of his dirty work as a small child. I grew to understand that his being in my life was a burden and I resented him for it. So I left and came here to seek out my mother only to learn that she had died years and years ago of old age...All that gave me the sense that life wasn't worth living really until I found you. Then everything changed for the better, well at least so far anyways. Finishing what he had to explain to her finally, his face grew a smile knowing that he had her to make everything better in his life.

As he looked out the window, though, something snapped to him. This made him rather sad actually. "Wait, I just realized something. I don't age as fast as you humans, you will have been gone for years and years before I begin to experience old age. If I was a full demon, I'd be immortal but... He stopped as he looked down into his lap. He didn't know what to say after that, it was a pretty depressing thought.

As she listened to him, she began to worry about him, as his home life seemed like nothing but sadness and loneliness. She batted her eyes and continued to stare at him, even though he moved around and changed his emotions quite often. She felt sorry for him, that they hadn't met sooner, because as she saw it, she was now the only thing that he thought of as good in a world he hated for obvious reasons. She had also never considered the fact that Flayace, had most likely saved him from becoming something worse, if time were to progress without them meeting. Because of that thought, ans his comment on how she changed him, hopefully for the better, made her crack a small smile.

When he then mentioned that they may not be together for as long as other, she smiled, even though she knew that at that moment she should have been frowning. "My dad always told me that, you never know how much time two people have together, so you have to enjoy and be happy for every second you are with that person, as if it was your last with them."

Lestat was amazed at how up beat Flayace was even after hearing the last part about how long they would be together. "Your father must have been wise to say something like that. That's the first time I heard that one. Lestat had no idea what to even say after his response so he sat quietly. He still had a smile on his face from her saying that and knowing that she was okay with the time difference that they had to be together. At this point he was one happy camper. Though he wouldn't show it as much as he would like to. He wasn't open enough to do that.

She kept a smile on her face, even though in her mind, the thought of her dying before him, a long time before him, made her sad. Even if they weren't dating anymore, even if they were enemies, even then, she would still envy that he would be able to live longer then her. She would forever and always be a human, with supernatural powers. Sighing at the thought, she knew that she had to stay positive, for the both of them, even though what he had said made her think about the future.

"Yeah, I guess he was." She said calmly, remembering the day he had told her that. "The thing is, I am not even sure if he was the one who came up with it." She laughed a bit, thinking about the memory. It wasn't like it mattered anyways. Redirecting her gazed once again to Lestat she nodded to him. "It's going to be okay. Even if we only have a few hours together, or a second, I'll still be grateful for everything you've done for me in this short time." As she thought about what she had just said, she continued. "Because, in a way, time doesn't mean anything."

Chuckling a little at the thought of her father using some else's quote, Lestat went to get a little more of the hot chocolate. By now it will have gotten a slight chill to it rather than it being as warm as when it first got their. Nevertheless, it was still great to taste. Soon after this, the same waitress had reappeared in front of the two. Having her notepad and pen in hand she looked at the two repeatedly before asking, "Can I get anything else for ya?" her smile was large and almost creepy to a point.

Lestat looked at the waitress, too busy thinking about Flayace to realize his disgust for humans, he said to her "I'm fine. How about you Flayace?" He finished as he looked to Flayace. Maybe she wanted something more. Lestat would be happy to oblige if she did and had nothing against it.

Shaking her head from side to side to signify a no, she gleamed a bright smile at the waitress. "Thanks for asking but I think I am good. Thank you for all your help." She replied warmly. "We will take the bill in a little bit if that is okay?" She said to the waitress, and with that she nodded and left their table to end to others. Looking back in the direction of Lestat, she was unsure of what to say next to him. There were so many things that she wanted to ask him but she would feel weird if she bombarded him with a ton of questions. Smiling again lightly, she sat there, with her head leaning against her left hand. She then thought of at least trying to keep their weird conservation going, so she asked him a bold question. "Do you ever, think about the future?" A simple question if you think of it that way, but at the same time complex.
