On his way to the 'Sweetheart Cafe' with his newly found girlfriend, Lestat had thought of the past few days. They had been extremely odd for him. He was out of character for some parts of especially recently. As he walked the the streets, hand and hand with Flayace, he looked at all of he unassuming people that walked by the two. They paid no relative attention to them. Was he finally normal and fitting? Or was it just that he was with Flayace? At this point, it didn't matter one bit. He was enjoying himself finally.

It was a bright day, sunny indeed, though there were some clouds above that were small and calm moving through the sky. Not very many people were outside walking nor were there a lot of cars on the roads. The wind was blowing but only keeping it moderate as the sun was keeping everyone warm. they were almost working together to keep all of us at the perfect temperature.

Lestat had only one other pair of clothes that he brought with him to the island. They were clean and folded correctly. At least he learned how to stay up on his hygiene and looks from the humans. Wearing the same hoodie as usual, this time Lestat had a pair of black pants that were baggy enough to keep comfort up. His shirt was a bright green that matched his eyes, almost an emerald green. His shoes, however, were the same as he always wore.

Looking over to Flayace as they approached the Cafe, he let go of her hand. Moving towards the door, he opened it so that she could enter before him. He had learned earlier that year from a book that it was polite to do this. Even though he didn't like the humans, he did try his best to learn about them so that he could fit in just as well as they did. If not physically then maybe through personality. He had learned a lot about etiquette and manner as well. Finally it all came in handy.

Upon entering the cafe, Lestat guided Flayace to the open table near a large window that showed everything outside, from the people to the cars. Pulling out her chair and awaiting her to sit down, he stood patiently with a small smile on his face from just being with her.

Smiling lightly, she was in a happy state of mind. She was going out on her first date, which brought a ton of excitement. This was so new to her, everything that had happened in the past few days felt like a dream to her. As she looked down at her hand, which was tightly holding onto Lestat's hand. She was actually holding hands with someone. As she then looked up at his face, Flayace smiled even brighter as she felt as if she was the luckiest girl alive. To have such an amazing boyfriend, was something she would have never imagined would happen to her.

Even though it was an oddly gloomy day, she didn't care, as for her, it felt like a regular day, but of course now she could share it with someone special. As they approached the cafe, Flayace felt Lestat let go of her hand. Confused, she waited for a second to see that he was opening the door, for her. Blushing a bit, she nodded to him and entered the Cafe.

It smelt of chocolate and other sweets, and had a weird sort of warm as she stood there. As Lestat guided her to an empty table, she looked around to see the waitresses, with big smiles on there faces, as well as other couples that seemed happy to be where they were. As he pulled her chair out, she smiled brightly at him, before sitting down carefully. "Thank you, you are such a gentleman." She said to him as she waited for him to sit down.

Just after Flayace sat down, Lestat pushed her in a little closer to the table. He also sat down only moments after this. The table was rather tall though. The top went up to Flayace's lower chest but to Lestat's mid stomach, naturally he was taller than her so the placement was a bit different. The air in the cafe was warm and smelled excellent for a place for couples. All the waitresses were moving around quickly at their jobs staying efficient.

After a few moments, Lestat looked to Flayace and asked her a question. "So how do you like the place?" he wasn't good at starting small talk at all so he thought he should try something that was easy to respond to. He had no idea that this question was literally used by everyone to start conversations.

There were menus on the table, one for each person, in this case two, that showed everything that they had to offer. It was divided into different sections that one could see as they open it up. The first was for coffee. "What is coffee" Lestat had though to himself as he looked through the menu. Shaking it off, he looked at the section for food. There was a variety of small things to eat like donuts, crumpets, biscuits, and even cinnamon rolls. They all sounded delicious to Lestat but he didn't know what to try since he had only rarely eaten anything like this. Its a good thing he had saved the money he had before he got to the island too, so he could treat Flayace to something like this. Though he would need to get a job soon to keep a steady income of money.

Looking around, she breathed in the nice smelling air as she looked at Lestat. As she sat there quietly, he asked her a simple question. "Yes, I do like this place. Thanks for suggesting it." She said warmly to him. She was glad that he had chosen such an amazing place for their first date, as she had been worried as to what he would choose. There were so many different choices of places to go on this island, places that she hadn't gone to, that it was almost impossible to have known what he would choose for them.

As she watched him look through the menu, she was tempted to pick one up for herself, but she had decided that it would make more sense for him to pick what they had, as he, was the one who chose the place. At the same time, Flayace didn't want Lestat to get something overly pricy, as he said that he would pay for whatever they got. She too had money, but very little of it as she didn't have a job yet.

"I'll let you choose, okay?" She smiled, laughing a bit happily, as ever snince they became a couple, whenever she looked at him, as couldn't help but smile.

"I'll let you choose, okay?" She said as Lestat looked through the menu. He was unsure what to get for himself let alone for the both of them. So he kept his face glued to the menu so that he could find what she would be good for the two. He mind trailed off to the amount of money he had to be spending for the two. He was ashamed to say that he didn't have a pocket full but what he had should be sufficient for this time. $32.87 is all he had. If he did this right, like how he saw others do, he may be able to walk out with a few dollars still in his possession. He was glad that it was him with the telepathic powers and not her.

Lifting his head out of the menu with a smile, he tried to suggest things that he thought she might like. "Do you like co-fee? He asked. He never even heard of coffee in all the years that he had been living among the humans. It was sad really. He tried to pronounce it the best he could. He turned the menu around so that he could point out what he was trying to say. He blushed slightly as he was embarrassed to say it like he did.

Smiling at him, she looked at the menu to see that he was pointing at coffee. She found it cute as to how he said it, as if he had never seen it before. As she thought for a second, she realized that maybe he hadn't. "Coffee? I've actually never had it, so I really wouldn't know if I liked it. I guess after watching my parents drink it every morning, I thought it was weird. Apparently it keeps you awake and tastes different for everyone." She tried explaining to him, so that if he did choose it, he would have a better idea of what it was. She thought for a moment, as she knew by now that he wasn't used to human things, so she guessed that most of the things on the menu were new to him. Flayace grinned as she wanted him to try new things, as well as get something that they would hopefully both like.

"Hot chocolate, huh?" He said cautiously. He was unsure of what to think. The coffee sounded a little on the peculiar side. He had never heard of it but her description of it made it sound like its not something you would just eat or drink randomly. But this hot chocolate he may be able to relate to. He heard about others liking chocolate but he had never had it himself, let alone hot chocolate. But he took her word for it since he figured that she would never try to hurt him or make him eat or drink something nasty.

Looking back at the menu with his hand on his chin, stroking it, he scanned the menu for the delicacy known as hot chocolate. Having an 'Aha' moment, Lestat's face lit up as his eyes came upon it. "I found it. $2.49 per cup. Sounds good enough. You want one of these...umm..doughy things?" Lestat knew what they all were but he had no idea how to categorize them. He didn't know that people would call them pastries. He looked at her while, yet again, showing her the menu. She was almost like a guide in addition to being his significant other. She would most likely be the one to tell him more about this oddly sculpted world.

Looking at the menu again, she observed the page he was now showing her, a page filled with sweets of every kind. "Yes, a pastry sounds good to me." She smiled say him. "There are tons to choose from." She looked at the menu, as she wanted to see what exactly it had to offer. There were different types of doughnuts, and other sweets of that sort. As she looked some more, she came across one that seemed perfect. "What about, a cherry filled pastry?" She looked up from the menu to look at Lestat, then looked down again and pointed to the one she was talking about. "And about the drink, I think we should share one, if what's okay." She blushed a bit, even though she knew that she was mostly doing this to save him some money, as well as make this a better date.

"So its called a pastry...Good to know, I guess" He thought as she pointed at what she was talking about. He already felt like a nuisance, so he wouldn't dare as her anything else about the food that was on the menu. She examined the menu trying to see what would be good exactly. After only moments, she found a cherry filled pastry. The sound of that made Lestat's taste buds tingle in a way. He had never had one of those before and looked forward to trying it.

Soon after she made her choice, she mentioned sharing the hot chocolate. Lestat had no problem with it but he didn't know how to share it. Actually he didn't even know what it looked like or how it was served in the first place. Openly, he said, "Its perfect." Simply put. Though this was odd for him to be doing since he had never done it before, he enjoyed it, simply because it was with Flayace. Any other human and it probably would have resulted in fight by now. But, hey, there is a first time for everything, right?

Motioning over one of the waitresses that was patiently waiting for someone to order, Lestat prepared what he would say to her in his head. As the waitress walked over, with her note pad and pen in hand, she smiled brightly. Dressed in a white button down shirt, a knee length skirt, and dress shoes, she made it to the table quickly without falter. "What can I get for you two love birds?" She asked politely. Lestat looked up to her with a tiny, awkward smile and began to speak. he didn't want to seem rude in front of Flayace so he put on a personality change, though since Flayace knows how he feels about other, she probably saw right through it. "One of these cherry filled pastries, I guess. As well a one of these Hot chocolates." Once he finished, he noticed that the waitress jotted down everything within the blink of an eye. "Anything else?" She asked politely as she looked back and forth to the two.

Lestat looked at Flayace as well to see if she wanted anything further. Lestat had everything he needed at this point but maybe his date would want something else. Whether she did or didn't, he was fine with both options.

Watching as the waitress approached their table, she couldn't help but think about how he would react to having to talk to another human. She already knew that he hated doing so, so she was interested as to if he was going to make a scene or try to play it cool. As the waitress asked what they wanted, Flayace looked at Lestat, as it seemed that he was having trouble with what to do or say next. She knew that this was something out of the ordinary for him, so she understood if he were to not take talking to others well. She was surprised though, as when he talked, he wasn't rude, or mean to the girl, as if he was trying to show Flayace that he would try to be nice around others when she was around. With a slight blush across her face, she jumped a bit as Lestat turned his attention towards her. "Oh, I'm good too." She said to him, as the two things he had ordered would be just right for them.
