Myca had just liberated a small -well, giant for her- puff pastry from the snack table and had been looking intently at it. Trying to decide if it was worth the mess if she just shoved her face in it and chowed down.

But an insanely flashy distraction pulled her away before she messed up her looks. "Hiii!," she exclaimed and jumped up to bounce once or twice. Myca pressed her palms against her cheeks and dragged them downward as she looked up and gasped in delight. "Oh... you're so sparkly and pretty in that dress!"

"Why thank you~" she replied, shimming a little so her sequins make that little noise that they make.

"I see it took you no time to find the snacks," she said with a grin, taking a look at them herself. She decided to grab one of those little puff pastries herself.

"Did you come with friends or are you...flying solo?" She gave a cheeky little grin at her own stupid joke.

"Of course, that makes perfect sense then," Liliana remarked in understanding as she took both of their hands in hers and gave them a tiny reassuring squeeze as she followed Mir, comfortably ensconced between both of them.

"This is quite amazing, especially considering the limited time you guys had to plan everything," Liliana confided as she glanced around the ballroom taking in all the decorations and all the little details. She noticed that even the lights blended in nicely with the lilacs which, in themselves, also added a nice welcoming scent to the room.

"By the way, I am so proud of you," she leaned in to whisper, giving their cheek a soft peck as she did so.

Katie

Katie was very excited. She was going on her frist "date" with Vespa. It had taken no small amount of asking, and some pleading to get Vespa to agree to come along. And even if they weren't actually calling it a date, it certainly felt like one.

For this particular dance, Katie had picked out a lilac a-line princess dress, paired with a simple pair of black ballet flats so she could dance if she needed. She'd even put on some lipstick just for tonight.

She sent Vespa a quick text letting her know she was there before eagerly scanning the crowd. Tonight would be great, she could feel it.

Myca covered her mouth as she laughed at the rattling sound of all the little beads. Unable to stop herself from pattering her feet against the table in excitement.

"I'm sure I have friends around. A bunch said they were coming. But I didn't come with anyone, no," she answered as she let her blue dragonfly wings appear again and fluttered up to get a better look around the room. Flapping her cape a little. "But I'm looking at one friend right now."

KirMir gave Lily a small smile as she complimented them. "We cannot take full credit- the whole council worked hard on this," Kir replied as she kissed them on the cheek. Then they decided to be bold and respond with one of their own.

Mir doubled back slightly to guide Lily's arm around their waist. "But we're glad you are enjoying this. Would you like to dance?"

Nathan would arrive, in bat form, squeaking a few happy squeaks before shifting to stand besides Amber. "Hey there," he'd say with a smile, adjusting his tie a bit. "You look beautiful," he'd tell her, quickly brushing down any of his stray hairs.

"Whatcha think?" he'd ask, motioning to his suit. "My dorm parent helped me pick it," red and black, good colors, though his attempts to straiten the tie actually made it more crooked.

The reaper girl would arrive, looking as grim as usual, though she wore the dark purple dress Katie had suggested. "Yeah, I'm here," she'd say, approaching the other girl just as the text arrive.

"So.....," she'd glance at the entrance. "What do we do now?" she'd ask, having never been to a dance before. "Do we just dance and all that shit?" she'd also never dated before, though she wasn't aware that they were dating yet.

Jessica was delighted that Myca enjoyed her dress so much.

"Yeah, same. I take forever to get ready anyway, so I figured I would just meet my friends here."

Jessica popped the pastry puff in her mouth and watched as Myca flew up to check the room.

"See anyone?"

"Always," Liliana replied with a delighted look on her face as she wrapped her one arm around Mir's waist and pulled her closer when her girlfriend asked her if she wanted to dance.

"You two are my favorite dance partners," she admitted unabashedly as she let Mir lead her to the dance floor.

Myca gave up after a few moments. There was too much going on to get a good look. She slowly lowered back down onto the table and shrugged. "There's already a bunch of people here. Maybe if I had friend-finding powers or something but... oh well. I'm sure i'll see people eventually."

Then she pulled at the collar of her cape to keep it from pulling too much on her neck. "I don't have a fancy dress but I made sure I was nice and fluffy and my cape is all washed!" She twirled to make the cape flap some and laughed.

Kir stood nearby as Mir led Lily onto a still fairly uncrowded dance floor. It seemed many of the students were still in the 'working up to the dancing' phase.

As soon as the couple began to dance, more music began to play from an indeterminate source. Naturally KirMir had expected it so they attempted to complement the DJ's songs with their dancing. In hopes that there would be no unpleasant discordant melodies.
