Baine struggled with the wolves before finally throwing them off of him. He stood up just in time to have one pounce back to him but one attack with the scythe and it was all over for the puppy. The others soon followed the same fate.

Violet would have hated him for killing them, but since they had tried to kill him, she only sighed sadly. "You all right?" she asked.
"Perfectly fine." He fixed his messed up clothes, and checked his wounds. They weren't serious. "No thanks to you."
"So what you're just gonna leave now? This place seems a bit dangerous for such a young girl, you know. You'll get killed." He shook his head. "Stupid female."
He caught up to her and put his hand on her shoulder, forcing her to turn around and look at him. "Look. You obviously know more about this place than I do. This means you're gonna help me find my way out of this stupid bog, got it?" How demanding he was.
Violet stared up athim before shaking her head. "No thanks." She turned and about walked away, but his grip on her shoulder kept her from moving. She glared at him. "Let me go."

"Well, I don't take commands from people who I've just met, and especially those who are rude. And now, I shall gladly be 'disrespective' and turn my back to you again."
She turned again and yanked on her shoulder.
