Excellent.. He thought. She was quite naive, and as long as he threw a compliment or two her way, he could probably keep her with him as long as he needed. What an excellent pawn for finding a way out of this stupid wasteland. He had no idea where he was. The girl talked as if she just suddenly woke up here too.. kind of. He wasn't sure what she meant by "survivors".. perhaps she was with some other people and all of them were attacked?

"Hey.. girl.. what is your name?"

She looked around before pointing to herself. "Me? Violet. What's your name?" She started walking, smiling at their surroundings. "This island doesn't really look like I thought it would...I figured more along the lines of palm trees and weird exotic flowers..."

Violet frowned and nodded. She had been about to give up the idea that he adn't hurt his head, but obviously he had. "Maybe you outta lay down....you obviously can't remember what happened." She shook her head sadly. "We were flying in a plane when it crashed on this island. Unfortunately I can't find anyone else...well, besides you."

He crossed his arms. "I wasn't in a stupid plane. I don't know what you're talking about. Up until recently, I had my own private jet, and even if I was on that, it wouldn't have the likes of you on it. Besides, where is the smoke? the fire? The debris?" The plane crash must have been what she was referring to when she mentioned survivors. But he didn't remember ever seeing a plane crash. Maybe it happened farther away on the island and this girl wandered here? It could have been a complete coincidence..

"Alright.. lead me to this crashed plane.. I wanna see for myself."

When he said his plane wouldn't have 'the likes of her' on it, she frowned. And without answering any of his questions or leading him to the plane crash--a place she didn't even know the location of--Violet lifted her chin, spun back around, and started walking the way she had first come from.

He couldn't tell if she was showing him the way or abandoning him. He was about to say something when he heard growling behind him. He turned to notice more mutated wolves facing him. They came from all directions. They simply ignored Violet and walked right past her, as if they had a deep hatred for Baine.

She gasped when she saw the wolves, but spun around and stared at them all surrounding Baine when they passd her up. Her eyes grew wide.

Baine summoned the scythe as the wolves pounced at him. While a single slash of the weapon killed them, there were simply too many to avoid any injuries. He wasn't trained enough in combat to be able to dodge them. Inevitably, he fell to the ground as a select few surviving wolves pounced on top of him.

Not knowing what exactly to do, Violet just stared at them all.

((she's a real heroine. xDD))
