Hudson, he realized after a bit, was actually having a pretty damn good time at the moment. Despite his earlier hesitations this place didn't seem all that bad, even that bartender guy was okay he guessed. He honestly wasn't that social of a guy honestly, but being able to talk to this girl had put him at ease for once. The conversation was pleasant, and it seemed to be keeping clear of topics he would rather not discuss, so all in all it was a good day. Probably helped that Vinnie was pretty damn beautiful herself, though how much of that was natural and how much was her gift? And in the end did it really matter?
He did notice though that whenever conversation seemed to get on to where she came from she sort of got this far away look in her eye, as if remembering something rather pleasant. One of these days he was going to have to ask her about that place, see how it stacked up against the good old green fields of Saskatchewan. Though apparently that time would not be now, as she stated she couldn't just stand around at work and talk to him all day!
“Yeah it's a shame, guess you are working and all.” He brought the glass up to his mouth went to finish it off when the last of her words sunk in, causing him to inhale some of the beer. This started a coughing fit which lasted a few moments before Hudson could talk again, though at a much faster pace then before. “I, what? I mean, I... what? Well, yes? I mean no! Wait, no. I mean yes, just that, it is just that I'm. You see that, well, kinda. But I, and and...”
Hudson decided that it was probably at this point he should stop speaking for a moment and calm right down He wished he had someone here to tell him what to do though because he was in total and utter shock. Vinnies' forwardness sort of caught him off guard, and unknown to him he was kind of red from the top of his head right down to where t shirt and neck met. The constant argument of should he or shouldn't he was raging on in his head and he wasn't sure if it was being mirrored on his face or not. He was thinking about it so much he was having trouble meeting her eyes.
Talk about embarrassing, eh boy? said a voice in his head, one that was rather familiar but he could not quiet place it. What'cha gonna do? I think you'd know what I would say.
The voice was right as he was still a relatively young man, and as he had said before to the bartender it had been a really long time, so it was not much of a surprise which side won out in the end. Setting the beer glass to the side Hudson turned back to face her and then nodded.
"Uh, yeah. Yeah I would actually.”
