Seeing Maddie stumble after she bumped her, Jazz reached out to help her right herself before laughing again and moving back a step. This was shaping up to be tons more fun than she had been remotely expecting, to the point where she could even see herself going out like this again. Glancing back over towards the bar, she thought that it might be a good idea to get another drink in her and avoid her inhibitions building back up again.

However, just as she was opening her mouth to excuse herself, Jazz's eyes fell on Maddie's outstretched hand, blinking at it a few times before stepping back over to take hold of it. "O-oh! Uh, this is new." She smiled sheepishly up at her friend, continuing to sway gently in time with the music but clearly at a bit of a loss for what to do once more.

The kind of dancing Madeline pulled Jazz into was not very graceful, but it matched the tempo of the song blaring in the house, if not the style. Madeline swung Jazz around, twisted back and forth, and did a couple of other goofy things before she'd had her fill of this.

Between songs, catching her breath, Madeline pulled herself closer to Jazz and asked: "Do you want to go sit down or something now?" Maddie was still holding Jazz's hand. All that spinning hadn't gone great with the alcohol she'd had earlier, but that wasn't a big deal. She could just sit down somewhere and hang out with her friend Jazz and wait for it to pass.

Jazz proved to be a quick enough learner once Maddie had started directing their dance to at least keep up for the most part. She was aware of how silly the whole affair probably looked, but that really didn't matter right now. All of this just felt nice, and seeing her friend obviously enjoying herself was great.

Once Maddie paused to ask if they should sit, she nodded in agreement, barely even aware that they were still holding hands as she took the lead for once and drifted over to one of the few couches with open seats and pulling her friend along with her. Taking a seat, she grinned at the demon girl and leaned back, exhaling heavily and looking up at the ceiling. "...Wow. That was, like...I mean, I really had fun. You're an amazing dancer." Unconsciously, she had not yet let go of Maddie's hand as she turned to smile at her again. "Um, did I keep up okay?"

Now that they were sitting down, Madeline just sort of looked at Jazz and smiled. The dancing was fun, but it was also fun to see Jazz having fun. She was cute, and Madeline was enjoying her cuteness, and she was happy she could share something she enjoyed with her friend like this.

"You kept up great, hun." Her southern accent was coming out a bit more, along with a slight slur. "You're a natural. That was awesome~"

Her face was a bit red, now. But that was probably the alcohol, or the exertion from all the dancing, that was making this happen. Absently squeezing at Jazz's hand, Maddie leaned back into the couch and kept looking at Jazz, still with a dumb, happy look on her face.

It was a relief to hear that an actually good dancer thought she had done well, and she felt her shoulders relax from a bit of tenseness they had been holding onto without her realizing. As fun as the dancing had been, the break was definitely welcome. Jazz had tired herself out a little more than she realized.

The bear girl relaxed back into the couch, returning Maddie's hand squeeze before really registering it. Wait, they were still holding hands? Jazz glanced down to where their fingers were laced together, a slight tightness in her stomach rising up that was somehow simultaneously familiar and foreign. Laughing awkwardly, she gently pulled her hand away from the other girl's and brushed some hair behind her ear.

Her cheeks had already been a smidge flushed before, but the rose tint deepened a little now. They had been holding hands the entire time they were dancing and it wasn't weird then, so why was she getting this bizarre feeling now? This was her friend, and everything was fine, and that's what she kept repeating internally now.

Unique was right. To be perfectly honest nothing the Lionesses were used to dancing-wise would really have fit the style of music popular here. But damned if Seyyal and Sage weren't going to try their hardest to make it work. Improvisation and adaptation were good for more than just combat.

Seyyal fell into position leading the two of them without really thinking about it. It came fairly naturally and she smirked back at Evie as the other girl was surprised. "Its only weird if you stay there watching like it's some kind of show. But trust me, this is no ass-dance. That sounds gross," she joked at Evie, splitting up weird-ass just to poke fun as she and Sage continued on with smiles.

Ok so they were already bumping into eachother a little with just the two of them, and Seyyal clearly drunk. The addition of Evie into the makeshift dance only exacerbated the situation. Even before Evie tripped over her own two feet Seyyal had bumped into both her and Sage a few times and just laughed it off.

Seyyal had been about to try reaching out to catch Evie but had to suddenly dodge back as the girl's feet flipped up and nearly kicked her in the face. The worried look on Seyyal's face faded into a smile and then laughter at the upside-down girl. Enough that she had to pause dancing for lack of breath and coordination.

"Pretty sure this is us having better moves than you Evie. What do you think Sage, should we declare us the winners?" Seyyal clapped Sage on the shoulder and stepped back to try to fight off the giggles. The girl floating upside down was certainly not helping that.

Maddie was too wrapped up in her vague, intoxicated pleasure to really register that Jazz was uncomfortable. She was silent for a moment, enjoying the way Jazz's little hair-buns bounced a little when Jazz would move her head. It was nice. Maddie didn't think she could pull off a hairstyle like that, but she also didn't know if she wanted to try.

"Jazz your hair is great, and the way it bounces around when you dance is great... you're great."

Hearing Maddie start complimenting her snapped Jazz out of her sudden social withdrawal for the most part, but it did very little to help with her weird flustered feelings. "H-huh? Oh, um, thanks...you're great too. I really liked watching you dance."

Since she had complimented her hair, Jazz automatically found herself looking at Maddie's hair now. It looked really silky and well maintained, and framed her face to really accentuate her prettiest features, and she almost wanted to just run a hand through...wait, what? She shook her head, trying to force herself to stop thinking about all that and naturally making herself focus on it more. "H-hey, uh, Maddie? I'm, uh...I think I need to step outside and get some air. Is it okay if I come find you later?"

Sage was amused by Evie's reaction. It was a "weird-ass" dance compared to the others here. If she wasn't so focused on keeping up with Seyyal, she would be allowing herself to laugh at the contrast as well.

That restraint wouldn't last long. With all the bumping and stumbling, Sage kept chuckling. A few times she slowed down to a near pause to let out laughter.

Until Evie tripped and almost fell.

Sage instinctively went to catch her... and failed. Evie did the unexpected (or should have been under normal circumstances) and fell up. Even worse, Seyyal was closer to catching Evie, with her reward for such selfless behavior being a near kick to the face.

Sage was amped up on adrenaline after that whole commotion. In only a moment, she switched from a partying mood to the mindset of needing to care for those around her. If not for Seyyal's laugh, she might have gone into one of her quick rants about everyone needing to be careful.

Forcibly relaxing her face from the worried look she had on, she followed Seyyal's lead and laughed it off. Everyone was still safe. Everything was fine.

"You're the judge, but I think we are. Our dancing was much more unique, memorable, and hard for you to keep up with. But don't feel bad, Evie. You're still the Queen of Shots in this group."

Maddie was a little sad to see Jazz go - it had been a lot of fun seeing her come out of her shell like this. But she could deal with it. They could catch up again later. It was a big house party, but not so big they would get totally lost.

"Ok~" Maddie told her. "I think I'll just, sit around and drink some water for a little bit." She probably drank those last few drinks a little too fast.

...Oh! Maddie knew just what she should do! Now would be a fantastic time for her to text Shir. After she'd gotten some water and sat down again she would text Shir.
