Seyyal gave a somewhat confused looking frown as Maddie was suddenly made uncomfortable enough to pull away. Not to mention a slight sinking in the pit of her own stomach as Evie teased her for attracting girls to her- was it true? She was around mostly girls for pretty much all of her life, but that just felt like normal friendship she thought. "It's not like... wait, hey you thief!" She cut herself off as she realized that Evie was trying to drink from the cup she'd rested on her leg. A momentary distraction enough to let her pull her thoughts together.
And it looked like Maddie had the same idea of segueing into another topic. Although Seyyal wasn't very enthused about that change in topics. Jazz's slightly antisocial demeanor, or at least hyper focus on Maddie, meant she wouldn't have much to go on there as far as conversation. And she watched as the girl received a tiny drink that seemed to be like Evie's and her own but without the bright and tangy fruit juice to balance it a little. Clearly bluffing, and badly, with the claims about liking it. "Uh huh. I think maybe....," she trailed off as Maddie then dragged Jazz away to jazz up some other kind of drink for her.
With her friend Maddie and the very nervous Jazz separated from the rest of them for a bit Seyyal looked back at Evie. Glanced at the drink and then shrugged, leaving her to have it as she requested another from the bartender. "Well, turns out you're wrong. They're leaving just as fast as they're coming," she quipped with a nervous chuckle and then realized what Evie was doing with her long, pointed gazes. "You'll have to try a lot harder if you want me to squirm. At least you're not a toothless grey-haired man twice my age," she challenged Evie with a significant amount of false bravado.
'Why am I egging her on? this can't end well' she thought as she took a sip of her new drink.
