Seyyal had to laugh. She had no idea what tacticool was but she could more or less piece it together from the context. As for the giggle response to her ehm, hesitant drinking well it was pretty much well deserved. She could take a joke at her own expense

"Oh no, fortunately I haven't had trouble with anyone nibbling on me here. Otherwise I wouldnt be dressed like this for sure.

She did know Evie's name even if she hadn't remembered her from before. But it was easier not to get into that. And she really did remember her from the volleyball tournament for sure. "Good to see you again. I remember some crazy floating stuff from the tournament that I have a funny feeling you were responsible for," she smirked and looked Evie in the eyes. They both knew what she was capable of- and it was a fairly showy power if used right.

The last bit might have caught Seyyal off guard just a bit. Oh sure, she recognized the varied layers of meaning the word 'adventure' could have. But... she hadn't expected it. Should've, but didn't. "I guess if you call wearing clothes I'm not used to and sneaking illegal drinks adventure then sure. What about you? Waiting for the right moment to turn everything upside down?"

As their eyes met, Evie's smirk matched hers. She brought the cup to her lips, and as the alcohol poured past into her mouth, she raised both her legs while the rest of her body stayed in the exact same position. She sat crossed legged, floating in the air.

Then, just to continue with her little game of showing off, she began to rotate in the air, spinning around until she was floating upside down in front of Seyyal. She finally stopped drinking, and when she did the liquid stayed perfectly inside the cup, not a single drop falling out despite facing the ground.

"Mmm, something like that," Evie said with a cheeky grin. "I have a certain reputation to uphold, I'll have you know."

Not that she really cared what most of these people thought about her. Most of the other teens here were strangers to her, after all.

"Though, this party's already pretty wild without me." She mused, tapping her chin with a finger and looking up (down?) like she was considering it in a sage manner. "It's not like there's a punch for me to spike or something, they're already giving the booze away for free."

Of course she did. The girl couldnt help but literally turn things upside down to show off. Seyyal was left watching as her impromptu drinking companion inverted with her drink and everything.

Seyyal took another sip of her drink. "Of course, of course. You are the type to want to shake things up a little I believe," she nodded as she stretched and reached up to gently balance her own drink on the bottom of Evie's leg. With her upside down she made a slightly inconvenient but humorous floating table.

"I'd maybe argue it's not really that wild. Loud, getting a little more crowded as it gets later, and with apparently a lot to drink but, human drink tables aside, so far nothing I cant handle."

Madeline had been chatting it up with another group, red plastic cup in hand, laughing. She slid away from them and practically danced her way over towards Seyyal and Evie. Every movement she made, she left a trail of colored light behind her. She was like a walking light show.

"Heyyy Seyyal!" She wrapped an arm around Seyyal and laughed. Maddie was already a little bit drunk. "I didn't know you were coming!"

That colored light wrapped around her and Seyyal and started pulsing in time with the music, changing its hue with each pulse. It wasn't too bright, thankfully, but they stood out a little. She took a long, greedy sip out of her cup.

"Someone said there's mead here. Did you bring that?"

Coming to a party like this in the first place was pretty far removed from the typical evening plans Jazz made, but coming alone was something that probably would have been entirely out of the question a few weeks ago. While her marginally boosted confidence had been enough to lead her here, since arriving she had regretted coming almost instantly.

Above all else it was claustrophobic. Not quite the level of cramped as a concert or something, but definitely not comfortable. The general loudness of the music and muddled words and laughter from the others around her was starting to give her a headache, eventually making her decide to start finding the door.

However, a colorful splash of light off to her side managed to capture her attention, and making her way over she was finally able to relax, if only a little. "H-hey, Maddie!" She was excited to see her, but did still look obviously and predominantly freaked out by her environment. Shuffling over, she pulled her friend in for a hug, being careful not to hit her cup.

"Hello Maddie," Seyyal greeted her friend cheerfully. Though raising a brow a little at apparently how far along into the night she was already. Seyyal was only partway through her first drink and Maddie... well she was at least a couple in from what she could see.

She gave her a single-arm hug back in response to the arm looping around her and looked at the colorful display. Fitting for someone who wants to be envied. "Wasn't sure myself if I was coming until just before I arrived or I would've... tried to use the phone to... nevermind. We're here and I'm pretty sure between you Maddie and you Evie the night is only going to get wilder-"

Almost as if on cue another girl popped out of the crowds and approached to hug Maddie. Was... that normal? It almost seemed a little like Jazz was clinging to her in fear of being swept away.

"Hello again Jazz," she offered calmly and then glanced back at Evie to see what she was doing now. Trying not to leave anyone out if she could help it.

Evie took the use of her legs as a table in stride, keeping the cup perfectly balanced. After Seyyal spoke, an almost challenging grin spread across her face.

"Weeeell is that so? I guess a house party must seem easy compared to all the swashbuckling you probably got up to. In that case, maybe we should try to make it more interest-"

She was abruptly cut off by Maddie suddenly cutting through the crowd and spreading her glow. Evie had a bit of a giggle as she leaned on Seyyal.

"Well look who it is, we were just talking about you," Evie winked as the two hugged. Once they directed their attention to each other, she began to maneuver her leg down to bring the cup to her hand, mostly trying to see if she could attempt an upside-down sip with Seyyal's cup while they were talking. Though before she was able to do that, Jazz made her entrance. The front of the bar was certainly getting crowded now.

"Jeez, Seyyal. Never realised you were so popular with the ladies." She said, teasing grin on her face. "They're all just flocking to you now. You should show off what you got under that armour of yours more often."

Evie took the opportunity to look Seyyal up and down, clearly making a show of checking her out, while also equally trying to provoke a reaction out of her.

Maddie's entire face turned red. "Pfft, shut up Evelynn. I'm not..." She detached herself from Seyyal and made an unconvincing attempt to laugh it off and play it cool.

Being attracted to Seyyal didn't mean Maddie was gay, though. Because Seyyal was a little buff, which was sort of manly, which was probably just confusing Maddie's very straight brain. And she wouldn't even act on it anyway.

Time to change the subject. "So, Jazz! I didn't think you'd be here!" Her voice made this sound like a pleasant surprise - and just by reading Jazz's body language you could guess why it was surprising. She was out of her element. "You seem way too nervous. What's your poison?" She gestured to the drinks. A couple of those should set her right.

Jazz waved stiffly at Seyyal and Evie after they greeted her, forcing a profoundly unbelievable laugh when Maddie said she didn't expect to see her here. "O-oh, yeah, um, I...uh...it's no big deal, just. Thought I'd see what all the fuss is about, or...yeah."

Clearing her throat, still subconsciously leaning on Maddie, the bear girl squinted at the variety of alcohol on display behind the bar. She had never had any alcohol before beyond an unpleasant sip or two of her dad's beer, so naturally the options were a bit overwhelming. "...Um, I mean. I'll just, y'know...I'll take whatever. It's no big deal."

Eventually getting set up with a shot of vodka, she gave it a couple sniffs, grimacing at the smell and doing a poor job of masking it. However, wanting to seem as casual as possible, she tossed it back, almost immediately coughing and shaking her head. "O-oh, wow, that's...delicious. It's, um, great!"

"Yeah, you need booze, stat. One cup of whatever coming right up!"

Maddie had a plan. She pulled Jazz away from the others and down the table, hunting for the right ingredients. And she found them - a bright green liqueur, some vodka, and a particularly sour brand of lemon-lime soda.

She gathered her ingredients and, in her typical extra fashion, made a big show of mixing them together. Each ingredient added was accompanied by a flash or a puff of smoke, drawing a few curious or interested stares. The end result was a standard sour melon mixed drink she'd learned how to make at a different party, but her illusions made it much more impressive-looking. At the end, she seemed to zap it with some kind of green energy jolt from her finger, which seemed to make it bubble and glow. She took a sip to taste the concoction, and then, satisfied with the result, offered it to Jazz.

"Try it. It's really good."
